A new 30 seconds PV for Clear Card TV anime featuring Tomoyo has been released:

This NHK document lists their upcoming shows and Card Captor Sakura Clear Card TV Anime appears on page 13 with a total of 26 episodes scheduled.

If the anime runs for 26 weeks without interruptions, the 26th episode would air in early July, summer in Japan, the perfect time for a theatrical movie release. But that is only speculation of my part.

It’s unlikely that the manga will be over by then, which makes me think that there will be at least another season.

The anime starts on January 7!

The Card Captor Sakura official website announced that the ED Theme song for the Clear Card Arc TV Anime adaptation will be performed by Saori Hayami.

The song is entitled Jewelry and it was both written and composed by Saori Hayami herself.

The 4-tracks single will be released on March 28 with two versions: CD only and CD+DVD. The jacket for the CD only version will feature a Clear Card arc anime illustration.

The dress Sakura is wearing is the one that appears on volume 3 cover (which is my favorite cover art so far). It looks great! There is a possibility that this dress will be the one featured on the OP sequence. I really hope so as I prefer this one over the pink one that was released first.

I would prefer the cards to be all facing backwards instead of having some of them showing a few characters, but it’s alright xD

Also, some more cast members were announced:

Takashi Yamazaki: Issei Miyazaki

Once again, all of the above cast members will be reprising their roles in the original anime. It’s really amazing that they were able to do so even to secondary characters!

Lastly, Maaya Sakamoto’s official website is announcing that the single of CLEAR (TV Anime OP theme song) will be released on January 31. It will come with an accoustic live performance of Platinum.

The illustration sure is pretty but somehow it isn’t what I expected from a box illustration. I guess I would prefer one that would wrap itself around the entire box. Still, pretty!

NHK’s hotsite for Card Captor Sakura ~Clear Card arc~ announced yesterday the first character designs of Yuna D. Kaito, Akiho Shinomoto and Momo for the upcoming TV Anime adaptation.

In addition, the voice actors who will play Akiho and Kaito have been announced!

• Akiho Shinomoto: Minori Suzuki.
• Yuna D. Kaito: Natsuki Hanae.

Momo’s voice actor hasn’t been announced yet.

Minori Suzuki seems to be a somewhat newcomer, but Natsuki Hanae has a long list of works, some of them very big! Either way, I’ve listened to a few samples of their voices and I think they both fit perfectly!

In her official twitter account, Minori Suzuki wrote that working on an anime by CLAMP was a dream of hers. Surely she will work with all her heart, then!

The official website of Card Captor Sakura announced today that the Opening theme song for the upcoming TV Anime adaptation of Clear Card arc will be performed by Maaya Sakamoto.

The song is entitled “CLEAR” and the lyrics were written by Maaya Sakamoto herself. Yoshiki Mizuno is in charge of the composition.

In a comment left by Maaya Sakamoto for the website, the singer wrote that she is happy and honored to be singing a new theme song for Card Captor Sakura nearly 20 years after the release of Platinum.

Great news! Little by little, our expectations are being met. Everything is aligned for a very promising sequel.

So, what did you all think? I’m not sure I like the CG work and all the rainbowness of it. And there is a bit of haze effect here and there too. Fingers crossed the rest will be good.

The series will premiere on January 7, 2018 (Sunday) at 7:30 am on NHK BS Premium, which is NHK’s cable channel, the same that re-aired the series lately and the same that aired the Kobato. TV Anime.

A new PV for the TV Series will air on September 22 during the Card Captor Sakura Selection that is going to air on NHK public channel.

Lastly, but certainly not least, the only thing left that I was hoping for this adaptation has finally been confirmed! CLAMP member Mokona will repeat her role as costume and card designer for this TV Anime adaptation as well! This is key to assure the quality of this anime adaptation, therefore I’m very happy with this piece of news!

The designs at the hotsite are looking really nice! It’s the first time we’ve seen how the clear cards look like in color, too! In fact, the key visual is even looking a lot like the original series! This is looking very promising. Looking forward to the PV in two days!
