The hotsite for the upcoming TV Anime series of Card Captor Sakura ~Clear Card arc~ has opened in NHK’s Anime World website:

The website has the anime designs for the main characters so make sure to check them out!
The series will premiere on January 7, 2018 (Sunday) at 7:30 am on NHK BS Premium, which is NHK’s cable channel, the same that re-aired the series lately and the same that aired the Kobato. TV Anime.
A new PV for the TV Series will air on September 22 during the Card Captor Sakura Selection that is going to air on NHK public channel.
Lastly, but certainly not least, the only thing left that I was hoping for this adaptation has finally been confirmed! CLAMP member Mokona will repeat her role as costume and card designer for this TV Anime adaptation as well! This is key to assure the quality of this anime adaptation, therefore I’m very happy with this piece of news!
The designs at the hotsite are looking really nice! It’s the first time we’ve seen how the clear cards look like in color, too! In fact, the key visual is even looking a lot like the original series! This is looking very promising. Looking forward to the PV in two days!

Yay! She looks a little older here. Compared to the manga anyway. It’s a nice image. She looks very determined. Omg I can’t wait. Itl be like when i was a kid counting down the days till xmas. But now it’s counting down the days for ccs anime instead 😀 I’ve already written it on my calendar.

Getting yet more information and announcements in September was definitely a surprise: with everything we got already, between the Goods BOX (both CCS and H&L), the monthly chapter (+new artwork on cover of nakayoshi + kero piggy bank), the vol03 release and the OAD, you might have thought we were good this month with CCS haha XD
Only a bit more than a day before we get to see the first PV! The key visuals are nice, and GREAT news about Mokona’s active participation to the anime project ^^ We also got an exact day for the airing of the anime, we are doing great info wise teehee~

So the costume she was wearing on chapter 4 as she capture Siege seems to be this series official outfit. In the 90s series, it was the outfit of the first tankoubon. I wasn’t too impress with the clear card 1st tankoubon, so I’m glad they chose another one.
Looking at the character pictures on the website, the hair and eyes are so lovely detailed. ^^
Mokona will do card design, which mean we will get more card than in the manga. Not that we had any doubt there would be, in the Sakura Card part, Ohkawa deal with all the 52 cards in just 24 episodes. New costume as well is always nice.
I can’t wait for the first PV the day after tomorrow! I wonder if we will have the theme song mixed in it. Gumi? Sakamoto Maaya? A new singer?

Yeah, if Mokona is on board, it means that we’ll have lots of original episodes, enough to justify her present as staff.
