The TV game show OMOJAN just aired in Japan and here is the illustration made by CLAMP featuring “Ultraman’s sister”:

The show just aired, so we may have other, higher resolution versions of the illustration later on. If so, I will update this post.

Shimarisu no Hoobukuro paper message, CLAMP draws Fujii Chiho’s “Happy Ko” (Updated)

For those who were curious about it, here is the paper message that comes as a bonus for those who purchase Satsuki Igarashi’s Shimarisu no Hoobukuro book in one of the 10 selected Animate stores:

On other news, CLAMP made a slight participation in NHK’s show TV Senshi, sort of.

TV Senshi is a show aimed at children and young teenagers. In today’s episode, one of the young hostesses, Fujii Chiho, asked her favorite mangaka (CLAMP) to draw her character “Happy Ko” from one of the show’s corners, Girls Communication.

CLAMP members themselves didn’t appear on the show, only the illustration they did of “Happy Ko”:

Here’s a picture of Fujii Chiho:

I thought CLAMP’s drawing was adorably similar xD Also quite a lot like Tomoyo.

Update: I thought that was the full illustration, but no! Here is the same illustration in a wider view:

Update 2: The show’s official website has the illustration in its full extent!

CLAMP on Wanna Gonna !!!

I can’t believe I’m writing this, but I am!

We have Wanna Gonna’s episode with CLAMP!!!

kira_chan1991 casually left me a comment in one of my posts, casually asking whether I had seen this video or not. And I not-casually answered to her that “OMG NO!!!” xD

For those of you asking what the hell I’m talking about, I’ll refresh your minds. This show was first aired on Japan early this year on February 25th. It features the show’s MCs going to visit CLAMP at their studio, where they produce a collaboration manga.

Back then, I had asked my friend who lives in Japan to rip it for me, but later I found out the show airs only on the region of Tokyo, so he couldn’t rip it for me (a month later he actually MOVED to Tokyo. Talk about lack of luck. But let’s put that aside XD).

Now, thanks to kira_chan1991, I was able to GRAB that video and make my life happier ^_______^

By the way, this is not the preview that I posted here some time ago, this is the W-H-O-L-E thing xD

A bit of story

CLAMP on Wanna Gonna – Preview

The official site of the show Wanna Gonna has been updated with information about the scheduled appearance of CLAMP on the next February 25th.

Also, the most interesting piece is that on the right side of the website there’s a link to a flash video with the collaboration manga CLAMP did with one of the show’s MCs, Nakagawa Shoko, as “Okimono Kimono Magical Girl” xD

It’s a very funny video as everything is drawn by CLAMP except Shoko herself xD It’s a mix of reality and manga. All the speech ballons were dubbed, too xD

Make sure to check out here too for some preview pictures.

Tsubasa #18 covers !

In a very unexpected update, CLAMP-NET announced the covers of Tsubasa #18, due to March 16th:

Deluxe illustration looks so preeeetty ! Congratulations for everybody who bet on Subaru ! xD

EDIT: There’s a chance CLAMP might have done it on purpose since today is Subaru and Hokuto’s birthday.

Additionally, CLAMP confirmed what I had previously posted about their appearance on Wanna Gonna, scheduled for the next 25th. It says the show will feature the production of a collaboration kimono manga between CLAMP and the show’s MCs. Also making an appearance on the show is Katsumi Yumioka, the owner of a second-hand kimono shop in Tokyo, who participated of a special talk with Mokona in her book.

On another note, they inform that tickets for Mokona’s sign sessions in Shibuya and Ikebukuro are sold out.

CLAMP TV Appearance !

What surprised me the most on the latest TRC chapter wasn’t the fact that Sakura had a vision, or the fact that it concerned Fye and the others. What surprised me the most was to see this.

I was shocked at first, “CLAMP using an assistant?!?!?!?”, but then, flipping through the other chapter pages, I read the news that CLAMP would appear in the japanese show Wanna Gonna, of TBS channel.

I also noticed that the name of one of the show’s MCs and the supposed “assistant” of this chapter matched ! She is Nakagawa Shoko, a very famous japanese idol. So it was easy to conclude that, while making a participation on the show, CLAMP let her draw a few lines for the chapter ! XD

She posted over her blog that her assistance can be seen on page 417. She said she helped to ink Sakura and Fye’s clothes XDD

Nakagawa Shoko is a huge CLAMP fan, according to herself. She made a very pretty drawing of Umi, which is her favorite CLAMP character, for the section Newtype Express, that can be seen in CLAMP Newtype PASTEL.

Her connection with CLAMP doesn’t end here. In August of 2004, CLAMP attended as guests on the japanese radio show Comic Jack, and at that time Shoko was one of the MCs of the show.

That being said, let’s get down to what really matters ^^

Wanna Gonna – TBS
Broadcast date: February 25th.
Broadcast time: 1:20~1:50 AM (of the 26th).

Since they referred to it as “appearance” and not “guest appearance”, I’m assuming CLAMP won’t be going to the show’s studio (I don’t even know if the show HAS a studio XD), more like they will be interviewed in CLAMP’s own studio (that would explain Shoko’s assistance, too), but it’s just a guess ^^”

Time to give my friend Yoshiyuki-kun one more job~ XD

Ah! And in case you are wondering, yes, he did manage to capture the CLAMP Mokona no Okimono Kimono segment aired last Friday. I’m gonna share it here as soon as I get it from him ^_~
