The style looks closer to the current manga, in which everyone is looking a little younger ^^”

We were graced by a fabulous new PV today! 😀
It pretty much contains everything we could have wished for, and OMG, I was so surprised that they leaked so much of the reunion between Sakura and Syaoran! Mind blowing! I started bouncing on my bed sitting crosslegged and hitting my knees with my fits while keeping my mouth shut and screaming internally XD XD XD
Unlike CLAMP, Madhouse is quite generous with us fans and gives us everything we want to see XD
The only major difference I see so far with the manga is that Syaoran wasn’t wearing his school uniform, but instead casual clothes when he met Sakura again, but other than that, I would say we are following the manga quite closely from what was revealed in the PV~
We already knew that from the 1st PV, but the art is amazing and very close indeed to CLAMP’s original style. The OP and ED songs are very nice too! I can’t wait to hear to whole thing and watch the sequences for both! ^__^
Hard to complain about anything at this point, a dream come true indeed!

Pretty much, in a nutshell! XD and I think it works. I’ve seen a lot of people cheering for the couple.
I am very happy with the animation too. It looks like it’s getting a pretty decent treatment.
I am not too sure about the OP song. It doesn’t feel as special to me as Platina, but we’ve only heard a sample of it and there were voiceovers too.
It’s looking very promising!

I’m fangirling so much! I was not expecting to see the another PV so soon! I’m so glad that they have included a small action scene in it. I was wondering how it would look like. Though the songs are making me all hype up for the anime! I can’t wait!

Ok so…
I said I was going to do my comment here with a cold mind but I just can’t, the excitement didn’t wear off and it won’t do it for long!
So, the purely technical aspects: the animation flows really well, I was particularly impressed by Sakura’s really slow walk at the beginning, both for the excellent esecution and for the intrinsic meaning – Sakura is so surprised, amazed by what she sees that her steps are tentative, as if she’s unsure to be dreaming/hallucinating. Very well done director Asaka, that’s what I mean when I say that I want to see your touch as well!!
I noticed the smart use of a pink filter over the whole SyaoSaku scene and the moving close up on the sakura buds *again* (well, that feature was very very praised in the OAD, so I guess it’s just natural they wanted to show it off here too), I generally really like how they handle the daylight/nighttime or the shadows, and I can say I got used to the colors, especially Sakura’s hair which changed so much (what a brave thing to do, changing the main character’s hair color).
I also want to point out a thing Moni on the CCS discord server noticed, please give it a look: http://littlewolf-cherryblossom.tumblr.com/post/168089996619/syaorans-dream-coming-true
If this was intentional, I have to bow down to Morio Asaka again, because that would be such a subtle and cute homage to the old series!!
The voices we can hear are on point, Sakura Tange said she didn’t change the way she voiced Sakura because she shouldn’t be sounding “too grown up” yet and that really shows, she didn’t change a bit! That Secure! though…that gave me chills!! Good job Tange-san!!! Syaoran’s voice is also good, Kumai-san was pretty worried and pressured because of the possibility of Syaoran changing his voice to a deeper tone, but to me it seems still acceptable like this.
What about the songs? As I have told you, I didn’t have the “love at first listening” reaction that I was hoping for, concerning CLEAR…it’s a cute song, upbeat, enjoyable, but that’s pretty much about it. It didn’t have that special feeling I was waiting for, but this is far from saying that I’m disappointed! I think it will only need more listenings, not even that many. Same goes for Jewelry, it’s very cute, and it’s the classic CCS ending with an upbeat and funny melody.
On the emotional side, what to say…December is a very special month in the CCS fandom, last year in these days there was the announcement that they would do an anime adaptation of Clear Card and it would air on January 2018…we were all “omg so far away, so much to wait”…and yet here we are, one month away from this long-awaited sequel that looks very, very promising. I’m saying this since long time, but, bless Madhouse for being the studio working on CCS, really! My heart is filled with CCS emotions in these days, and I’m so happy about it.
Just a little more and we’ll be on the premiere day in a blink of an eye!

I really like the scene where she gets off her bed. It flows REALLY nicely.
…especially Sakura’s hair which changed so much (what a brave thing to do, changing the main character’s hair color).
Yeah, and it changed for the better. This color is more faithful. The original anime was a shade too dark.

I saw that floating around on tumblr/twitter and it’s really nice! I am actually not sure what scene is that… the new one, I mean ^^”
Tange is great indeed. But I do want to see a grown up Sakura. I’m curious to how that would look and sound. I hope this new series will finish with an older Sakura.
I don’t regret one bit waiting this long and I would wait another year if that would mean having a top quality anime. This is going to last for posterity to it better be freaking awesome.
Please, Sakura, save the anime industry!

She might not save a desperate situation, but as for doing justice to the franchise, I’m sure Madhouse is putting all the efforts into this. They know what is at stake and they always seemed a serious animation studio to me.

Oh yeah, Madhouse remains being the best for CLAMP, hands down.

I’m a bit late, but let me add my comments.
Animation is flawless, thank you MadHouse. I like the way she turn the now transparent card or how she spin her staff in a new routine (I can’t wait to see that one). There are many plays with the light in this preview, this is going to be so nice to watch. Voice actors are as good as if they did the last episode yesterday. As for the songs, the opening didn’t impress me as much as Platina, Kobato’s Magic Number or even Action!, but it’s rather hard to appreciate here with such mishmash of scenes and sounds, the effect could be different with the matching video. The same for the ending.
As for the actual contents, Xiaolang doesn’t have his school uniform for his first meeting with Sakura, which would mean the OAD is not related to the anime after all and was an independent project for the manga fans. Which leave the question, how will they tie the bear with the rest… I can’t wait to see what Ohkawa have in store.
