ALL ABOUT CLAMP cover, Kobato. press conference video

Amazon.co.jp has the front and back cover of the ALL ABOUT CLAMP book:

This is the book version of the CLAMP Newtype [PLATINUM] and [PASTEL] special magazines originally published in 2006, it carries information about all CLAMP works and also X 18.5.

This will be released on October 26.

What a disappointment. Not only the illustrations aren’t new, but the typography is also hideous xD

Changing to Kobato. now, NHK has a video from the Kobato. TV Anime press conference that was held earlier this month. Check it out here.

Kana Hanazawa is so adorable it hurts!

Kobato. 2010 Calendar cover, Mokona marrying Fuuma?

Amazon.co.jp has a preview from the cover of the Kobato. 2010 Calendar:

I don’t think I’ve seen so many different kind of flowers in a CLAMP illustration XD

Thanks clamp_now for the heads up!

Also, slightly off, but I found out today that on December 4, Mika Kikuchi (Mokona’s seiyuu in Tsubasa) is marrying Yuuji Kishi, who played Fuuma in the Tsubasa OADs. Apparently their relationship started during the Tsubasa after-recording sessions =) Check out CLAMP’s messages for the couple.

They are all saying “Mokona is marrying Fuuma!” and as if that wasn’t enough, Nekoi made this lovely drawing:

Congratulations to the couple! XD

Newtype #11 cover preview

Here’s a preview of the cover of Newtype #11 featuring a new Kobato. illustration drawn by CLAMP:

Celebrating the arrival of the autumn (in Japan, at least xD). I wonder if that will be the cover of Kobato. volume 4.

Newtype #11 goes on sale October 10.

Special thanks to Aurelia for letting me know about this!

Kobato., Tsubasa news

• Kobato.:

The page for the Kobato. TV Anime from NHK’s website has been updated, it includes the title of the first 4 episodes:

Episode 1 – …Wishing Girl. (…願う少女。)
Episode 2 – …Sparkling Konpeitou*. (…コンペイトウの輝き。)
Episode 3 – …Rain’s Present. (…雨の贈りもの。)
Episode 4 – …Throbbing Fresh Leaves. (…青葉のときめき。)

(I’m not too sure of those translations since I translated them myself XD If you spot a miskate, let me know!)

* Konpeitou are candies made in Kyoto. I think they refer to the little things that appear in Kobato’s bottle each time she heals someone.

We can tell that it looks like the episode titles of Kobato. will always start with a “…” and a period at the end ^^ Worth mentioning that they are already talking about the little sparkling things from her bottle in episode 2? Will she already have the bottle by then?

Also, Presepe has an interview with some cast members and the director of the anime during one of the after-recording sessions.

• Tsubasa:

Mainichi has an article about the end of Tsubasa’s serialization and according to it, Tsubasa has sold over 20 million manga copies so far (volumes 1 to 27). That amount basically corresponds to 20% of CLAMP’s overall comics sales (currently around 100 million copies).

Congratulations to Tsubasa!

By the way, the next chapter of Tsubasa will be definitely an epilogue and will be called “The World Afterwards” (その後の世界).

CLAMP NEWS !!

October Edition

Kobato. TV Anime Press Conference

Today there was a press conference in Tokyo at NHK Broadcasting Central where the first episode of the Kobato. TV series was shown. Kobato’s seiyuu, Kana Hanazawa, and director Mitsuyuki Masuhara attended the event.

You can check a report from the event in Mainichi.

There isn’t much info except for the director saying that the 4 seasons of the year will be an important theme in the story and Kobato’s costumes will change in every episode.

I hadn’t realize how cute Kana Hanazawa is until now XD She reminds me of Juri Ueno from Nodame Cantabile somehow (I think it’s the haircut).

Debut episode of Kobato. TV Anime scripted by Ohkawa

Nanase Ohkawa confirmed today through her latest message posted in CLAMP-NET.COM that the script for the debut episode of the Kobato. TV Anime was written by her.

As reported in my previous post, the title of Episode 1 will be Wishing Girl… (願う少女…).

The anime starts on October 6.

Great news! I just hope this won’t be the only episode she writes for.

Kobato. TV Anime news (Updated)

NHK-BS2 aired today a small segment introducing the anime of Kobato. Here are some screencaps of it (taken from 2ch. Most of them we saw from the PV but some are new).

I’m trying to find the video but so success so far xD

Also, the title of Episode 1 will be Wishing Girl… (願う少女…). Apparently, this episode’s script was written by Nanase Ohkawa, but I’m still checking on that. I really hope that turns out to be the case =)

The anime series debuts on October 6.

Update: The full video is up on YouTube!

Kobato. TV Anime Opening Theme (Updated)

Here is Magic Number by Maaya Sakamoto, the opening theme song for the Kobato. TV Anime. It was taken from Maaya’s radio show.

Thank you haruko_chan1995 for letting me know about this! =D

I really liked the song and I think it suits Kobato. a lot =D

Update: MP3 download thanks to syaoranmew.
