CLAMP and Maaya Sakamoto Talk

The talk between CLAMP and Maaya Sakamoto was that was published in 0331 (Maaya Sakamoto’s 15th Anniversary commemorative pamphlet) has been translated to English and can be read here.

The talk is extremely long, entertaining and very enlightening. Among the discussed topics, they talk about preferences for dating, women lifestyle after 30s, career and more.

I thought it was very cute the relation of Maaya and CLAMP in this talk… Maaya seems like a young sister asking advices to CLAMP, who seem like their older sister or something xD I was very amazed by how mature the members of CLAMP all sound. They all seem pretty sure of who they are and what they want while Maaya is still wondering a lot about those things (which is totally understandable considering her age).

It’s also a very very very revealing talk about CLAMP’s personal tastes, it’s extremely rare to have them talk about themselves and not about their work.

How lovely! What a wouldn’t give for a bigger version of this. Also, it’s missing Princess Tomoyo, but I’m so glad they drew Suu =)

Nanase Ohkawa x Mitsuyuki Masuhara talk and more

A talk between Nanase Ohkawa and the director of the Kobato. TV anime, Mitsuyuki Masuhara, was published in the January issue of Newtype magazine. I don’t think anyone has shared scans of it yet, so here they are:

I must admit that I expected a little bit more of it, like, a bigger talk xD It’s a quite short text so if anyone could give it a look and tell us about any interesting information, we would appreciate it! =)

This is from the March issue of Newtype magazine, since it’s the 300th issue, it came with a special supplement. There is a ranking for the creators that drew more covers of Newtype, and CLAMP appears in the 3rd position, with a total of 9 covers:

Also, as part of the project that celebrates the 25th Anniversary of Newtype magazine, they will be releasing t-shirts in collaboration with many artists, including CLAMP. More info will come in the April issue of Newtype (on sale March 10).

Let’s hope it’s a new illustration!

CLAMP draws “Happy Ko” (for the 4th time)

Check out the new illustration by CLAMP of the “Happy Ko” character that was aired today in NHK’s kids show, Tensai TV-kun MAX:

The illustration above was taken from the show’s official website. The image is a little large in width so forgive me if I’m messing with anyone’s f-lists.

“Happy Ko” is a character played by one of the show’s young hostesses, Fujii Chiho, she presents the Girl’s Communication corner of the show. This time, apart from Chiho’s character “Happy Ko” (on the right), CLAMP also drew one of the show’s co-host, Maki (on the left).

This is the 4th time that CLAMP draws “Happy Ko”. Check ou the previous three illustrations here, here and here.

And by the way, for those interested, you can check here the limited goods that will be given away to the readers of Young Magazine in celebration of the 200th chapter of XXXHOLiC. Only Japan residents can apply for a chance to win the goods.
