The Witch’s Mansion and the Mysterious Scientist

Kodansha has a preview of the first 21 pages of The Witch’s Mansion and the Mysterious Scientist, the 5th volume of the children’s book series illustrated by CLAMP, released on the previous month.

You can check some of the black & white inside illustrations drawn by CLAMP, check it out.

Previews of Part 1 and Part 4 are also available.


That guy is probably the “mysterious scientist”, looks cool! XD It’s like Fye but drawn by Nekoi xD

Kodansha reports that over 200.000 copies of The Witch’s Mansion series have been sold up to now.

New Layout and Features!

We have a new layout and a few new features! =)

I introduce you a new Gallery that I will be updating on a regular basis with the drawings and illustrations posted in the members-locked section CLAMP Graffiti of CLAMP-NET.COM. All drawings were taken from Tsubaki Nekoi’s board, but in case any of the other 3 post illustrations, I will add them as well.

I have created a Picasa album where I will be adding the new pictures in batches.

I won’t be making new posts every time the gallery is updated. So how will you know when there are new pictures? Fear not, I have thought on many different ways of letting you know. I will add thumbnails of the new pictures in the right side of my LiveJournal with a direct link to the album:

For Facebook users, I have created a Facebook Page where you can check new updates from my LiveJournal in your Facebook news feed by becoming a fan. I have created the same CLAMP Graffiti gallery on the Facebook Page, this way you will also know whenever the gallery is updated with new pictures if you become a fan.

And although this isn’t new, it’s worth mentioning that you can also follow this LiveJournal on Twitter.

These new features were added to provide you the latest CLAMP news in a fast and comfortable way for all of you. That is my compromise XD Thank you for visiting my LiveJournal!

Little news about Mangettes: Gate 7

Anime News Network has a report of Dark Horse’s panel at this year’s Sakura Con last Sunday.

No big announcements were made, but Carl Horn revealed that the release of Mangettes: Gate 7 was delayed due to XXXHOLiC taking longer than CLAMP originally planned:

Regarding CLAMP’s new work that is to be released simultaneously in Japan and the U.S., it’s still continuing, but it was delayed due to xxxHOLiC taking longer than CLAMP had originally anticipated.

So just as I thought, XXXHOLiC wasn’t supposed to be this long originally. But with XXXHOLiC moving to a new magazine, makes me think that the series still has a long running ahead. Will CLAMP wait until XXXHOLiC is finished to start Gate 7? Or did they move XXXHOLiC because it’s easier to handle 3 monthly works?

Carl Horn also revealed why Dark Horse hasn’t re-licensed X yet:

Regarding other CLAMP titles where the license has been lost, Carl said that he thought people would be upset if they rescue-licensed and released X before the series was actually finished.

What about CLOVER? It’s in the same situation as X (worse, I’d say) but they still released it.
