Tsubasa OAD Title

Yui Makino, Sakura’s seiyuu in Tsubasa, posted an entry in her official blog stating that a press conference was recently held at Kodansha to promote the OADs release.

In that entry, she revealed that Tsubasa’s OAD will be called ツバサ春雷記 (Tsubasa Shunraiki), which can be translated as Tsubasa – Spring Thunder Chronicles. I should credit my friend Sakura-chan for translating the title.

With that sort of title, it’s hard to predict what is going to be about (which arc of the manga, I mean). I wonder also if that’s the full title or just a short version.

There’s a small picture of the Tsubasa cast along with producer Rui Kuroki.

We should expect some features in magazines about the OADs anytime soon, now that an official press conference has been held.

The first Tsubasa OAD will be released in March. More information as they come =)

And while I’m at it, completely unrelated, but here’s the cover of CLAMP’s artbook for Code Geass, taken from ladydarkmoon‘s scans of the latest Kobato. chapter:

Beautiful illustration, but hideous typography (in my opinion xD)

The artbook will be out December 5.

CLAMP (Mokona) x Yukana-san Collaboration Project

Newtype magazine is only on sale tomorrow but scans from the CLAMP x Yukana (C.C.’s seiyuu in Code Geass) collaboration project have leaked:

Another beautiful illustration by CLAMP for Code Geass, hopefully it’ll be included in the upcoming artbook. And for the first time in years they specified who drew it (Mokona) and who painted it (Nekoi).

CLAMP x Code Geass artbook announced!

In this month’s Kobato. News!! section of Newtype magazine announced that a CLAMP x Code Geass artbook is in the works!

Published by Kadokawa, the artbook will be called MUTUALITY: CLAMP works in CODE GEASS and will feature basically every Code Geass art drawn by CLAMP, including CLAMP’s original character concept for the anime, Euphie’s pin-up poster published in Newtype, TV Anime Ending illustrations, and more.

The cover will also feature a new illustration drawn by CLAMP.

The artbook will be released on December 5.

That’s such great news! Loads of people were longing for a Code Geass artbook containing all the fabulous illustrations drawn by CLAMP, specially since most of them were released in very unappropriated formats. I confess that I didn’t think something like this would happen, a solo CLAMP x Code Geass artbook, but this is one of the situations where I like to be wrong xD

CLAMP Internet Radio #48 & #49 (final)

First of all, thank you very much for the positive feedback on my new layout, it really means a lot to me ^__^

Today I’m bringing the final two episodes of CLAMP’s Internet Radio show, Komugikotoride no Yonshimin.

I’m not going to write any summaries for these ones, since they both are basically “summary” episodes.

In #48 they summarize all 17 guests that appeared on the show during its two-years run, making remarks about each one of them.

In #49 they look back at the last two years pointing out some highlights such as CLAMP’s visit to the USA and Korea, the Tsubasa Tokyo Revelations screening and New Year’s events, Mokona’s birthday party etc.

Near the very end of the last episode I think they were talking about their future ambitions. Satsuki said she wants to draw the end of Tsubasa and XXXHOLiC and also be able to dance (she’s been taking classes recently). Mokona, also, said she wants to draw the end of Tsubasa and XXXHOLiC “very quickly”, she said something about her room but I didn’t understand (maybe she needs some free space? XD). Ohkawa too said the same about Tsubasa and XXXHOLiC but she also said, if I’m not mistaken, that she would like to write the script for a TV Drama? That would be the coolest thing ever. Could you confirm that to me, if possible, clstmk-san? Or anyone else that’s willing to give me some light xD

The final episode is the longest of all with nearly one hour.

New CLAMP x Code Geass clear files

The NEWS BOARD section of CLAMP-NET.COM announced today that the next two issues of Newtype magazine (October issue, out 9/10, and November issue, out 10/10) will each come with a Code Geass clear file illustrated by CLAMP.

CLAMP-NET.COM doesn’t mention anything about new illustrations, therefore the clear files will most likely feature illustrations released before.

On another (sad) note, CLAMP’s Internet Radio show, Komugikotoride no Yonshimin, will end broadcast after its two years run (has it really been that long?).

Episode 49 is the last one and will be aired on August 26, two days before the radio’s 2nd anniversary. (you were right, clstmk-san =/)

Like the previous episodes, you’ll be able to download the final episodes in this livejournal, please look forward to it!

That’s very sad news, it was my biweekly CLAMP “fix” xD Ah well, I just hope they have other fan-interaction plans =/

I wish the final stamp would have the original concept’s colors, but due to color limitations for that kind of stamp, I had to make a few adjustments. Thankfully I was satisfied with the final result. What do you all think? XD

Newtype 9 cover

Here’s the cover of Newtype magazine September issue (out 08/09) with illustration drawn by CLAMP.

Unconditionally pretty! Surely other versions with higher resolutions are bound to appear later ^^

The magazine will also come with a special CLAMP in CARDLAND card featuring the same illustration.

The news keep coming, those ladies never stop!

• Mouryou no Hako:

Apart from Mainichi’s article that I posted yesterday, My Com Journal has their article about Mouryou no Hako‘s anime adaptation, they also have a few character settei and their version is bigger and better.

The repercussion of Mouryou no Hako anime announcement and the fact that CLAMP is taking charge of the character concept so far has been big on the media, with CLAMP’s name appearing on the headlines, and from what I can tell, the news has been very well-accepted by the general public.

• CLAMP draws the next Newtype cover:

The NEWS BOARD section of CLAMP-NET.COM reports that the September issue of Newtype magazine (on sale on August 9) will have its cover drawn by CLAMP, featuring a Code Geass R2 illustration.

In addition, the magazine will feature a long interview with Mokona about Code Geass R2 and a CLAMP in CARDLAND Newtype Original Card will be included in the magazine as an appendix. The card illustration will be drawn by CLAMP, too (I’m assuming it will have the same illustration as the cover).
