CLAMP x Code Geass artbook announced!

In this month’s Kobato. News!! section of Newtype magazine announced that a CLAMP x Code Geass artbook is in the works!

Published by Kadokawa, the artbook will be called MUTUALITY: CLAMP works in CODE GEASS and will feature basically every Code Geass art drawn by CLAMP, including CLAMP’s original character concept for the anime, Euphie’s pin-up poster published in Newtype, TV Anime Ending illustrations, and more.

The cover will also feature a new illustration drawn by CLAMP.

The artbook will be released on December 5.

Here’s a scan from the announcement:

That’s such great news! Loads of people were longing for a Code Geass artbook containing all the fabulous illustrations drawn by CLAMP, specially since most of them were released in very unappropriated formats. I confess that I didn’t think something like this would happen, a solo CLAMP x Code Geass artbook, but this is one of the situations where I like to be wrong xD

Mouryou no Hako official website launched

As expected, the official website of Mouryou no Hako, anime adaptation of Kyougoku Natsuhiko’s novel with character concept by CLAMP, has been officially launched today. Click on the image to go to the website.

It’s still under constructions, there are no sections available so far, but I like all the attention CLAMP is getting, obviously xD

Mouryou no Hako premieres on October 7 on Nippon TV.

Very nice, I hope we get to see the entire thing. Nekoi is definitely in charge of the male characters, and I think Mokona is in charge for the female ones (like XXXHOLiC).

The article also announced the cast list, it’s huge and can be checked here.

Furthermore, according to the magazine, the official website of the anime is http://www.ntv.co.jp/mouryou/ but it is still unavailable as of now. It’ll probably launch tomorrow once the magazine is officially on sale.

CLAMP Internet Radio #48 & #49 (final)

First of all, thank you very much for the positive feedback on my new layout, it really means a lot to me ^__^

Today I’m bringing the final two episodes of CLAMP’s Internet Radio show, Komugikotoride no Yonshimin.

I’m not going to write any summaries for these ones, since they both are basically “summary” episodes.

In #48 they summarize all 17 guests that appeared on the show during its two-years run, making remarks about each one of them.

In #49 they look back at the last two years pointing out some highlights such as CLAMP’s visit to the USA and Korea, the Tsubasa Tokyo Revelations screening and New Year’s events, Mokona’s birthday party etc.

Near the very end of the last episode I think they were talking about their future ambitions. Satsuki said she wants to draw the end of Tsubasa and XXXHOLiC and also be able to dance (she’s been taking classes recently). Mokona, also, said she wants to draw the end of Tsubasa and XXXHOLiC “very quickly”, she said something about her room but I didn’t understand (maybe she needs some free space? XD). Ohkawa too said the same about Tsubasa and XXXHOLiC but she also said, if I’m not mistaken, that she would like to write the script for a TV Drama? That would be the coolest thing ever. Could you confirm that to me, if possible, clstmk-san? Or anyone else that’s willing to give me some light xD

The final episode is the longest of all with nearly one hour.

New layout!

And this one will stay! xD

The previous one stayed for only 3 days, but as I was building it I knew it wouldn’t stay for long, I just wanted to change it quickly, and also learn how to work with S2.

I finally figured out the wonders of what S2 and CSS can do together, it’s amazing and much more flexible to work with them, I wish I had changed it earlier (but even if I wanted I wouldn’t have the time).

Another good thing of working with this new design architecture is that I don’t have to worry about making wallpapers anymore (it was too much space to fill, honestly xD). Working with banners opens whole new design possibilities and I’m already having different and challenging ideas for my future layouts.

I chose this Tsubasa picture basically because of two reasons. The first reason is that I really like this illustration, I intended to use the Syaoran from this picture on my confessions on a dance floor Tsubasa layout xD But as I know I ended up not using it. The other reason is that this was the first Tsubasa illustration released to the public right after the series was announced, and since we are reaching the end of it after these 5 long years, there’s this nostalgic feeling around it.

Despite of being the very first Tsubasa illustration released to the public, it’s amazing how the art style hasn’t changed at all. If you look at the early illustrations of CCS or Rayearth, for example, and compare them to latter ones, you’ll notice significants improvements in CLAMP’s art. That doesn’t seem to be the case here.

I know there isn’t anything extraordinary in this layout, but again, due to time issues I wasn’t able to do anything extraordinary xD I promise, though, that I will push the edge further on my next layout.

The layout is not the only news today, from this day on I’m launching a new feature that I have developed, the CLAMP Widget, or whatever you would like to call it xD

This little flash application is placed on a fixed post on my livejournal and it shows the upcoming CLAMP releases (merchandises, events, media appearances etc) and the manga schedule for their current series, as a quick way of checking what’s coming next from CLAMP. The design was strongly based on CLAMP-NET.COM’s current design, as you could possibly have noticed.

You can also incorporate it into your own blog, website or anywhere else you might want to add it, and the information on it will be automatically updated from whenever you have placed it.

So browse around, welcome to this new chapter of my livejournal, always aiming to keep you up-to-date about CLAMP and their activities.

CLAMP in CARDLAND Series 5 news

First of all, the package has been announced!

Source: HOBBY STOCK.

Looooved the illustration! Very similar characters sharing the same space xD Sakura looks very cute!

Did you all notice the mistake in the package? It says “Vol. 4” instead of “Vol. 5”.

Now information about the series itself.

This series will feature 14 CLAMP works and the new additions are CLOVER and ‘Suki. Dakara Suki’. There will be a total of 108 cards.

The Secret and Point cards’ illustrations together will form a single illustration, the same way it happened in Series 4. This time, however, the illustrations will have the winter as theme.

Furthermore, there will be a new card category named Parallel (which I assume is a derivation from the Super category) featuring “different versions” of popular characters.

CLAMP in CARDLAND Series 5 will be released in November.

Lastly, the official website of CLAMP in CARDLAND has some news from the CLAMP Talk Show to be held at the card game’s 2nd Official event.

The Tokyo session will be limited to 600 people and the Osaka one will be limited to 400 attendees. Both sessions will run for 30 minutes.

The two-days event will take place in Tokyo on November 23 and in Osaka on December 21.

Mouryou no Hako release date

MoonPhase reports that the anime Mouryou no Hako (with original character concept by CLAMP) will start its broadcast on October 7, on Nippon TV.

The anime will air weekly on Tuesdays, at 01:29 AM.

On another small note, since the end of last month, unless you’re logged in LiveJournal you will see advertisements even on Basic accounts, and that looked very bad on my until then current layout.

So I changed from S1 to S2, finally. I was gonna do it sooner or later, it was just a matter of doing it sooner than I expected xD The ads are still there for those who are logged off, but at least now they have a “room”. S2 is much better and more flexible.

This layout is very different from everything I’ve done before for this LJ, that means no CLAMP art at all xD I just wanted to change it quickly so it took me a couple of hours to do it.

I loved playing with CSS so I’m probably changing it again soon.
