This month’s issue of graphic design magazine DTPWORLD has a feature about manga design, and CLAMP’s XXXHOLiC is listed in it. undini has kindly scanned it for us (thank you so much!). It’s very small, unfortunately, but I was very curious to check it ^^

• I LOVE GUNDAM
Newtype will begin a new series of articles as a countdown to the 30th Anniversary of Gundam. Entitled I LOVE GUNDAM, it’ll feature illustrations and comments made by female creators who are fond of Gundam.
The creators of the first installment will be CLAMP, and the article will be focused on the movie MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM Char’s Counter Attack.
This new series will start in the November issue of Newtype magazine, which is out October 10.
CLAMP-NET.COM says that CLAMP’s article will feature a “kawaii” illustration and “passionate” comments.
• Shinrei Dukiai Juuichinin no Sahou
Author Kamon Nanami recently released a book entitled 心霊づきあい 11人の作法, which can be roughly translated as “Souls’ Relations – The manners of 11 People“. The book collects special talks between the author and other 11 personalities, including CLAMP. These talks were originally published in the mystery magazine Yuu (幽).
In the past, CLAMP has drawn illustrations for two of Kamon Nanami’s books, Oshiroi Chouchou and Shu no Ketsumyaku.
The book is on sale since August 25.
Seems like the CLAMP-NET staff forgot to add this one on previous updates ^^;
skyless has sources that tell her that the english translator of the north american version of Tsubasa and XXXHOLiC, William Flanagan, is in negotiations to repeat the translator role for the english version of Mangettes, CLAMP’s next manga to be published by Dark Horse.
I haven’t checked the Del Rey version of Tsubasa or XXXHOLiC so I can’t really judge their translation, but if you have read it, feel free to let me know whether you like it or not =)

EDITED on September 21, 2008: Confirmed by Dark Horse in this year’s Anime Weekend Atlanta, via gia, that William Flanagan will indeed translate the english version of Mangettes (although in her post she calls him Bill Flanagan).

In case you haven’t heard it, ladydarkmoon is back for good and she has awesomely caught up with everything, including Tsubasa, XXXHOLiC and Kobato.

It’s nice to get back to the old schedule again, and I want to get back on writing chapter commentaries as well =) Alison’s absence, duties with both my work and university, and the constant breaks (during these 4 months, only 9 chapters of Tsubasa were released, and only 7 for XXXHOLiC), all those things kept me very off-track. But I had hope she would return, so I decided to wait, sometimes it’s nice to take a break =)
