CLAMP (Mokona) x Yukana-san Collaboration Project

Newtype magazine is only on sale tomorrow but scans from the CLAMP x Yukana (C.C.’s seiyuu in Code Geass) collaboration project have leaked:

Thank you to clamp_now for the link.

The illustration is mirrored with Yukana’s beautiful photograph, on the other page (which one was based on which?):

Another beautiful illustration by CLAMP for Code Geass, hopefully it’ll be included in the upcoming artbook. And for the first time in years they specified who drew it (Mokona) and who painted it (Nekoi).

DTPWORLD feature, from Ohkawa’s private board

This month’s issue of graphic design magazine DTPWORLD has a feature about manga design, and CLAMP’s XXXHOLiC is listed in it. undini has kindly scanned it for us (thank you so much!). It’s very small, unfortunately, but I was very curious to check it ^^

Translation credits go to Yoshiyuki! The original magazine scan can be checked here.

I love how CLAMP is one of the few authors who make the design for their own comic books ♥

The other thing I would like to share today is Nanase Ohkawa’s latest post in her Private Board, which doesn’t have any sort of foreshadowing information (who knows?), but I thought it was worth posting xD

Last minute news

CLAMP-NET.COM has a few last minute updates of “Others” category.

• I LOVE GUNDAM

Newtype will begin a new series of articles as a countdown to the 30th Anniversary of Gundam. Entitled I LOVE GUNDAM, it’ll feature illustrations and comments made by female creators who are fond of Gundam.

The creators of the first installment will be CLAMP, and the article will be focused on the movie MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM Char’s Counter Attack.

This new series will start in the November issue of Newtype magazine, which is out October 10.

CLAMP-NET.COM says that CLAMP’s article will feature a “kawaii” illustration and “passionate” comments.

• Shinrei Dukiai Juuichinin no Sahou

Author Kamon Nanami recently released a book entitled 心霊づきあい 11人の作法, which can be roughly translated as “Souls’ Relations – The manners of 11 People“. The book collects special talks between the author and other 11 personalities, including CLAMP. These talks were originally published in the mystery magazine Yuu (幽).

In the past, CLAMP has drawn illustrations for two of Kamon Nanami’s books, Oshiroi Chouchou and Shu no Ketsumyaku.

The book is on sale since August 25.

Seems like the CLAMP-NET staff forgot to add this one on previous updates ^^;

September Edition

CLAMP x Washizu raws, CLAMP in CARDLAND news

Remember the CLAMP x Washizu oneshot published earlier this month in Kindai Mahjong Original? Raws are now available in this gallery.

Credits go to , who scanned it (thanks for letting me know about it!) and , who sent the pages to .

Translations can be found here, also thanks to ^__^

And yet we have some more CLAMP in CARDLAND news, the official website has been updated again with previews of this Series’ special cards:

On the top left, Girls’ Sea.
On the top right, Boys’ Sea.

I liked that the two of them together form a full illustration, but I expected way more from Boys’ Sea, the composition looks poor.

Chii is gorgeous, Hikaru is so small! And Rayearth is in the background too!

Special thanks to Abyl for letting me know about it ^_~

EDIT: Bigger version of Girls’ Sea:

CLAMP x Washizu first pictures

Here’s a few shots from the one-shot that CLAMP drew for the September issue of Kindai Mahjong Original (on sale), taken from Muhyojo and this blog.

The one-shot was 4-pages long with no color pages.

The art looks so different from their usual style, I would say Nekoi drew most (if not all) of it.

If anyone scans the whole thing I’ll post it here.
