CLAMP FESTIVAL original goods!

The official website for the CLAMP FESTIVAL 2011 TOKYO updated its Goods corner with information about the merchandise that will be sold at the event.

The original goods are:

A – Festival’s official guide book. Cover by CLAMP, with introduction to CLAMP’s works and interviews with the artists. 100 pages, it comes with a bag.
B – T-shirt.
C – Towel.
D – Cell phone strap.
E – Fan.
F – Mokona cookies.
G – Wristbands.
H – Keychains.

Other non-original goods will be sold at the event as well. To check the full goods list, go to CLAMP FESTIVAL’s official website.

Needless to say that my favorite is the guidebook with a new crossover art by CLAMP. It has a circus motif, I can’t wait to see a bigger version of it =) Looks like they drew all of their characters according to the festival’s line-up, like having 3 “Chiis” (the Chii from Chobits played by Rie Tanaka and the twins from Kobato. played by Megumi Nakashima, both part of the festival’s line-up). Saya is there too, and Kazahaya and Rikuou even though there is nothing Gouhou Drug in this festival (but it’s their current work, same with GATE 7). I’m pretty sure that is Kamui holding TRC!Sakura but I’m not sure… I hope they didn’t forget him =)

I previously mentioned here that the free event “CLAMP Gakuen Festival” will be held at the back of the CLAMP FESTIVAL main stage with cosplay activities, interviews with guets & more. This backstage event will be streamed live by NicoNico in here. You must be a member so hurry and register to watch it live on Saturday! The main stage of the CLAMP FESTIVAL itself will NOT be streamed by NicoNico, only the back stage known as “CLAMP Gakuen Festival”.

I’m not sure if the live streaming will be limited to Japan residents, if that turns out to be the case, I apologize in advance, I really don’t know and I hope it will be open for all.

The official Blythe website informs that their collaboration doll with CLAMP, B2・HOLiC, will be on display at the CLAMP Gakuen Festival.

Several News

• The Witch’s Mansion and the Magic Summit:

This has been out for a while but I forgot to post about it. CLAMP will draw the cover and inside illustrations for the 6th volume of The Witch’s Mansion series. The new volume written by Yoko Tsukumo is entitled The Witch’s Mansion and the Magic Summit and will be released on October 9.

• BLOOD-C: has a bigger look at the cover of the BLOOD-C novel, which was drawn by CLAMP. You can download the HQ cover over here (special thanks to the clamp_now for extracting the picture out of website).

The novel has 416 pages and will be released on October 4.

Also, Kadokawa is listing a BLOOD‐C OFFICIAL COMPLETE BOOK Taido on October 26. The book will have interviews with staff and cast, rare materials and CLAMP’s original character concepts.

In case you haven’t seen it, the cover of CLAMP’s original manga for the festival is up at the official website. The manga’s title will be “Shiritsu Horitsuba Gakuen Bangaihen: Tenkousei ni Dokidoki”.

• Art Exhibition:

Several Brazilian websites are reporting that a selection of CLAMP’s original art will be exhibited at the RioComicon 2011, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The event will take place from October 20 to 23.

As a Brazilian, I’m very happy and proud with that news! It’s a huge opportunity to let other people learn about their work. I don’t live in Rio but I will my best to go there! =)

Sorry I’m a bit late, I’ve been traveling around for the past weeks (see location at the end of the post =P) and I have had very little online time. But here are the most important news that have appeared in the past few weeks.

• Artbook:

Here is the cover of the Kobato. Illustrations & Memories artbook:

So pretty, I loved it! The artbook will have a short story drawn by CLAMP and an interview with them. It’ll be released on September 26.

• Blu-Ray:

The Kobato. TV Anime series will be released in Blu-Ray format sometime soon. The information comes from the series’ official website ( More details will be announced soon.

• Ranking:

After its first week of sales, the final volume of Kobato. debuted in the 16th position in Oricon’s ranking. That’s a very good position considering that it’s only covering 2 days of sales (since it was released on the 26th and the ranking covers up to the 28th).

1st – Ao Haru Ride #2
2nd – GANTZ #32
3rd FAIRY TAIL #28
16th – Kobato. #6

This is the first time that a Kobato. volume appears in Oricon’s ranking after volume 2. It is also the highest position reached by a Kobato. volume.

Also according to Oricon, Kobato. #6 sold 43.331 copies in its first week. In comparison, Kobato. #2 sold 32.351 copies in its first week.

Hopefully we will see Kobato. again in next week’s ranking, specially since there is a campaign related to that volume.

– Next scheduled chapters (red means new):

08/04 – Jump SQ #09 – Chapter 6 (on sale).
09/04 – Jump SQ #10 – Chapter 7 – Last chapter of tankoubon 2.
10/04 – Jump SQ #11 – Chapter 8 – Beginning of tankoubon 3.

No new additions for GATE 7.

• Gouhou Drug:

The covers for the new editions of Gouhou Drug #1 and #2 were announced!

Ahhh, so the original design was preserved, I’m so glad! They are even wearing the same outfits, it’s like the same “photoshoot”, but with different poses XD But maaaan, do they look different! I don’t like this new style at all, their trace looks too simple! =( I really hope Nekoi improves her drawing with time.

The new editions of Gouhou Drug #1 and #2 will be released on October 4

• BLOOD-C – Novel:

CLAMP has drawn the cover illustration for the novel version of BLOOD-C:

So nice!

The novel is written by Junichi Fujusaku, who is also one of the writers for the TV Series along with CLAMP’s Nanase Ohkawa. It will be released by Kadokawa Shoten on October 4.

• BLOOD-C – Interview:

Website ANN interviewed the director Tsutomu Mizushima and screenwriter Junichi Fujusaku of the BLOOD-C TV Series. It’s a very interesting reading since they talk about CLAMP’s involvement on the project. You can read it here.

Suga Shikao has been added to the festival’s line up as a special guest! He will make a XXXHOLiC special live performance.

So cool! This festival line up was missing a major name and that name has been filled now by Suga Shikao =)

Here’s a detailed schedule for the festival:

Singer Stage:
– Suga Shikao XXXHOLiC special live performance.
– Duet between Sakura Tange and Junko Iwao (Card Captor Sakura).
– Card Captor Sakura medley featuring 5 songs.

Seiyuu Stage:
– Holitsuba skit (script by CLAMP).
– Maaya Sakamoto will be the narrator for the animation based on the original manga drawn by ClAMP.
– Live performances of the seiyuus are scheduled during the Holitsuba skit as well.

A free event named CLAMP Campus Festival will be held at the back of where CLAMP FESTIVAL will be held. In this event, cosplay contests and sales of original goods will take place. There will be a CLAMP Cafe, where visitors can have Mokona-shaped candies while they check a collection of CLAMP’s art reproductions.

An official Guide Book about the Fetsival will be sold at the event and the cover art will be drawn by CLAMP.

The Japanese video streaming website Nico Nico will cover the event from 10 AM until 10 PM (not sure if they will cover just the CLAMP Campus Festival or the entire CLAMP FESTIVAL event).

And more, there will be merchandise booths for Card Captor Sakura, GATE 7, Kobato., Gouhou Drug and BLOOD-C.

Anyway, there is simply a lot of stuff happening in this event, it will be one hell of an event. I may have missed a few things here and there, or maybe I chose not to post about them, but this is pretty much what’s been confirmed so far =)

The festival’s line up has two new additions, the band DUSTZ was added as a special guest and voice actor Daisuke Namikawa will participate in the festival’s first presentation.

The band DUSTZ plays the theme song of the BLOOD-C anime and Daisuke Namikawa played Fye in Tsubasa Chronicle and Ginsei in Kobato, but he will only appear in the first presentation, like Miyu Irino.

Tigger & Bunny’s director Keiichi Satou will be directing the anime adaptation of the original manga drawn by CLAMP specially for the festival. Keiichi Satou will also be responsible for the production of all visuals for the festival.

And lastly, CLAMP created two original characters for the festival!

Their names are Anzu Nekota (girl) and Naomasa Goushi (boy). Students of the Holitsuba Gakuen, it seems!

Looks like they heard my prays and created human characters ^__^

The two presentations of the CLAMP FESTIVAL 2011 TOKYO will take place on September 24.

Seiyuus Miyu Irino and Tetsu Inada (Syaoran and Kurogane in Tsubasa Chronicle) were added to the festival’s LINE UP as guests. Miyu Irino will only participate of the 1st presentation that will be held during daytime.

The official website has announced the festival’s program. The festival will have live performances of:

Nana Mizuki (BLOOD-C)
Naomi Tamura (Magic Knight Rayearth)
Yui Makino (Tsubasa)
Megumi Nakajima (Kobato.)
Rie Tanaka (Chobits)
Mika Kikuchi (Tsubasa/XXXHOLiC)
Sakura Tange (Card Captor Sakura)
Junko Iwao (Card Captor Sakura)
Kinya Kotani (Tsubasa)

There is going to be a Holitsuba Gakuen skit followed by a talk show with the cast.

Sayaka Ohara (Yuuko from XXXHOLiC)
Jun Fukuyama (Watanuki from XXXHOLiC)
Tetsu Inada (Kurogane from Tsubasa, Ioryogi from Kobato.)
Miyu Irino (Syaoran from Tsubasa) * daytime presentation only
Kinya Kotani (Tsubasa OP theme song performer)

Junko Iwao (Tomoyo from Card Captor Sakura)
Nana Mizuki (Saya from BLOOD-C)
Megumi Nakajima (Kobato. ED theme song performer)
Rie Tanaka (Chii from Chobits)
among others…

Wow, they are certainly throwing everyone at it! xD

Also, the original comic drawn by CLAMP that will be given at the festival will be made into anime!!!! The dubbing (after-recording) will be made live by the cast at the festival.

I wonder which company is doing the animation for this? (please Madhouse! please Madhouse!)

It looks like the event will be streamed online, more information as they come!

So many news!!

– Next scheduled chapters (red means new):

07/04 – Jump SQ #08 – Chapter 5.
08/04 – Jump SQ #09 – Chapter 6.
09/04 – Jump SQ #10 – Chapter 7 – Color page(s).

• Comic:

Here is the cover of Kobato. #6:

I love it! I think it’s my favorite cover! It screams HAPPINESS =D

It will be released on August 26.

• Feature:

To celebrate the series’ conclusion, there is going to be a large feature in the upcoming Newtype issue (out 08/10). Also, information about a new CLAMP series will be announced in the same issue! A campaign will be followed as well (but I don’t know if the campaign will be related to Kobato. or the new series).

So excited about this new series! Could be the revival of an old series as well (it’s alright to hope!). I don’t think it’ll be running in Newtype, though. They will most likely make the announcement to hook all Kobato. readers into this new series. I think it’ll run in a different Kadokawa magazine. Anyway, it was about time for CLAMP to work on another manga apart from GATE 7!

Looking very much forward to thissss!

• Book:

Here is the cover of the XXXHOLiC POST CARD BOOK:

I REALLY liked it! Even though there is little CLAMP illustration on it, I loved the design! I wonder if it was designed by CLAMP…

This postcard book will have illustrations from the covers and title pages of all 19 volumes of XXXHOLiC. It will be released on September 6.

BLOOD-C DVD & Blu-ray:

The official BLOOD-C website has updated with the cover of the limited edition of the 1st DVD/Blu-ray. The jacket features a new illustration drawn by CLAMP!

It will be released on September 28.

The limited first editions of all 6 DVDs/Blu-rays will have jackets illustrated by CLAMP. Check out the release calendar for them at the CLAMP Widget at the top of my livejournal.

BLOOD-C Manga:

Here is a drawing + message by CLAMP that came with the 1st volume of the manga adaptation of BLOOD-C:

So nice! CLAMP could draw the entire BLOOD-C anime and I wouldn’t mind =)

Thanks syaoranmew for letting me know about this!

BLOOD-C in Newtype:

The upcoming Newtype issue (out 08/10) will be a BLOOD-C special issue.

The magazine will have:

– Cover illustration drawn by CLAMP;
– Special talk between director Tsutomu Mizushima and Nanase Ohkawa about the birth and future of BLOOD-C;
– Inside stories;
– Interview with Nana Mizuki (Saya’s seiyuu);
– After recording reports.

• Featuring CLAMP:

CLAMP drew an illustration and wrote comments for the current Young Magazine that is celebrating the 500th chapter of Fukumoto Nobuyuki’s gambling manga Kaiji:

Idol Nakagawa Shouko (aka Shouko-tan) has been added to the festival’s line up as a special guest.

CLAMP Gakuen Tanteidan DVD re-release, more

From November until March, Bandai Visual will re-release in DVD format several titles under their EMOTION the Best label and the TV anime series of CLAMP Gakuen Tanteidan was chosen as one of them.

The BOX will compile all 26 episodes of the series and will be released on December 22 for 15.750 yens.

The staff of CLAMP FESTIVAL 2011 TOKYO announced today that the event will have its own original character(s)! A preview pic has been posted but all we can see so far are the Mokonas’ ears.

Maybe it’s a musician character? Or maybe an entire band? =D

• CLAMP x Blythe:

CLAMP designed a new doll in collaboration with Blythe that will be released later this year. A first look of that doll can be seen at the “Blythe 10 Happy Memories” exhibit.

The doll is called B2・HOLiC and was designed after Yuuko, from XXXHOLiC.

It will be displayed at the “Blythe 10 Happy Memories” exhibit from July 23 until 25. The exposition is currently being held at the PARCO FACTORY gallery in Shibuya, Tokyo.

The doll shown at the exhibition is told to be slightly different from the final version that will be put on sale later this year.

This huge music and visual festival will take place on September 24 at the Ajinomoto Stadium in Tokyo. It will gather singers, seiyuus and other artists related to the CLAMP works performing in a concert, talk shows, skits and short plays.

There will be two presentations on the same day.

The line up for the festival so far is:

Nana Mizuki (BLOOD-C)
Naomi Tamura (Magic Knight Rayearth)
Yui Makino (Tsubasa)
Megumi Nakajima (Kobato.)
Rie Tanaka (Chobits)
Mika Kikuchi (Tsubasa/XXXHOLiC)
Jun Fukuyama (XXXHOLiC/Code Geass)
Sakura Tange (Card Captor Sakura)
Junko Iwao (Card Captor Sakura)
Sayaka Ohara (Tsubasa/XXXHOLiC)
Kinya Kotani (Tsubasa)
Kamiya Hiroshi (Kobato.)

The audio and visuals for the festival will be in charge of Yoshihiro Ike, one of the biggest names in Japanese music industry.

Original goods will be sold exclusively at the event. Tickets go on sale August 27 (CLAMP@MOBiLE members have early purchase on July 22). An original comic will be given to those attending.

Check out the official website for the event:
A twitter account for the festival was launched, too:

If you look at the website, there is a LIVE VIEWING section (still unavailable). Hopefully the festival will be broadcast online (hopefully they won’t limit it for Japan residents only).

Also hopefully this festival will be later be released on home video (DVD & Blu-Ray), because this looks very huge. The last time we had a concert featuring several artists was in 2005 with the CLAMP Su event. But this festival is much bigger than that, the Ajinomoto Stadium supports 50.000 people (it IS a stadium after all!).

Wonder if the CLAMP members themselves will make an appearance (or are they too shy for that? =)

This looks very huge! I’m excited for what else they have planned for this!
