Time to check the performance of XXXHOLiC’s final volume in its first week of sales.

• Taiyosha Weekly Ranking:

03/07~03/13

1st – Kimi ni Todoke
2nd – XXXHOLiC #19
3rd – Bakuman #12

• Tohan Weekly Ranking:

03/09~03/16

1st – Kimi ni Todoke
2nd – XXXHOLiC #19
3rd – Bakuman #12

• Oricon Weekly Ranking:

03/07~03/14

1st – Kimi ni Todoke
2nd – XXXHOLiC #19
3rd – Bakuman #12

According to Oricon, XXXHOLiC #19 sold 181.590 copies in its first week, which corresponds to a 7,5% rise in comparison to the first week sales of volume 18 (168.625 copies). It had also the highest first week sales of a XXXHOLiC volume since volume 16.

It’s worth mentioning these numbers represent sales of the regular version only, Oricon numbers don’t take into account the pre-orders of the OAD limited edition made via Kodansha’s website.

Very good numbers, specially if we consider that it was released on the week of Japan’s largest natural disaster in decades #prayforjapan

Due to the earthquake that hit Japan on March 11, the May issue of Jump SQ magazine, that would originally be released on April 4, will now be merged to the magazine’s June issue that will be released on April 21. In other words:

04/21 – JUMP SQ #5 & #6 – GATE 7 Chapter 3
06/04 – JUMP SQ #7 – GATE 7 Chapter 4

  1. Thank you!

Chibiyuuto, thank you for all that you do for us. 😀 I feel that you don’t hear that often enough even though you deserve the sun, moon, and stars for providing us with CLAMP information.
