CLAMP in Paris: more media appearances

I honestly don’t know when I’ll stop talking about CLAMP in Paris xD Probably when the news stop coming ^^;

First let’s start with a new article published in ParisMatch.com featuring a very nice new picture of the CLAMP members. The interview was conceived just before going to the opening party of the CLAMP exposition in Paris.

The article reveals that more than 110 million copies of CLAMP mangas have been sold worldwide so far. Also, Ohkawa tells ParisMatch that CLAMP works 12 hours per day and 25 days per month.

Thanks for the tip!

Next, this video provided by HachetteVideos in shows some footage of CLAMP in Japan Expo from July 4.

The video is available in HD quality and I have ripped and uploaded the HD version (72 MB) in MegaUpload for anyone interested in keeping the video.

Lastly, gettyimages has 3 videos from the interview that CLAMP gave to the AFP press agency on July 3. This is the raw version of the interview, all in japanese, no french translation. There are other 2 videos (a raw version and an english version) about shoujo manga with some new CLAMP footage as well.

To download the videos, click on the Download 4:3 preview clip link at the sidebar. Since they are preview clips, all videos are watermarked.

I love when Ohkawa says “It wasn’t as if we decided that we didn’t want men, but it just ended up that we were all women” xD

    I wonder if they will put mild yaoi implication if there’s a guy in the team… ^^;;
    And gosh… CLAMP are indeed hard workers… 12 hours per day… *bow gratefully*

    • I’m just happy it ended up this way. It would be so weird to have a guy among them xDDD

      I was also impressed by their work schedule. They are such workaholics I love it =)

    is it a typical workload for a Japanese?? *wonder* In my eyes, they are workaholic and very serious when it comes to working =o=

    >>>a guy in Clamp? can’t imagine that XDXD

    • I know japanese people work a lot. They are workaholics by nature, but I have the impression that not all mangakas have similar work schedule, I mean, CLAMP works in 3 series simultaneously, and they have no assistants, so ^^

  3. oh no late comment, sorry! ^^;

    i’m actually surprised that CHILDREN even liked CLAMP-sama’s works! not only that they’re so young, but also a half world apart! so, i’m happy that CLAMP-sama’s fans are in different sizes, shapes, and colors. XD
    btw, i can’t help but thinking, when i saw the C!SyaoranCosplayer in the video, that “C!Syaoran’s speaking French!” hahaha!!

    • Lol, I’m not really. I started liking Clamp’s art ever since I was 6. 😛 I remember when I was learning how to read, my first manga was CCS. Then unknowingly, I read Wish, Clamp school detectives and other CLAMP series without knowing it was by the same authors. Only realized it when I was 10. xD

      Thanks so much for posting these videos and pictures. ^.^ I love the cosplays. But, was it a Japan manga expo or only an expo showcasing CLAMP’s works? Because I see other characters from other mangas and etc.
