The public screening of XXXHOLiC Shunmuki Part 1 was held yesterday in Tokyo, and here are a few highlights about both the OAD and the event itself:
Slight spoilers, maybe? Don’t read if you want total surprise.
– The animation quality is better than the TV anime and closer to the movie;
– There is a connection with Tsubasa;
– There is the appearance of unexpected character(s);
– A package sample was shown. This time it’ll be different than Tsubasa Tokyo Revelations. It’ll be similar to Tsubasa Deluxe editions (comic + DVD case inside a hard case). Tsubasa Shunraiki will be the same.
– A 40-seconds preview of Tsubasa Shunraiki was shown. It’ll be up at the official website soon.
XXXHOLiC Shunmuki will be released on February 17.

I won’t get my hopes too high about the ‘unexpected character(s)’, it might just end up being crossovers from others manga series and not what everyone think (=CCS|SxS…)
I simple think that the chances they would spoil CCS|SxS appearances in the anime, February 17th, before we’ve even seen them in the manga is quite low except, of course, if we see them in the next upcoming chapters before the first OAD is released?
I’m also really looking forward to the packaging!!!! 😀

You could be very right, but my bet is all on CCS Sakura and Syaoran, specially seeing how TTR ended.

That said, I thought back at the Nihon arc and just don’t know how CCS|SxS can fit in there ^^;; But it still could be possible with OAD original material I guess 😀
It’s not that far away anymore, only a couple of weeks of waiting and we will be able to see it with our own eyes! ^^

I’m glad they changed packaging, I don’t like the TTR DVD with 3 discs at all >_< (at least it was better than European xbox360 games xD)
I WANT TO WATCH THE OAD AND THAT TRAILER *__* thought best TRC and holic OAD would be the second ones *_*

The plot is based on volume 14. But I’m sure there will be a few original development mixed too.

Yes, from someone who was there, but they won’t reveal (otherwise I would have posted ^^). Japanese people are very careful when it comes to spoilers…

For some reason, as soon as I read unexpected characters I thought of Kobato-chan.
I can’t wait for the holic OADs… really anticipating now XDD and I told myself not to care too much, *starts a countdown*
