YES! We have one more! XD I had lost my hopes that CLAMP-PLA.NET would make a report of this event, better late than never ^^
I also didn’t think we would have so many reports of this event, but the more the merrier! And this time we actually have pictures ^_~
In January 7th of 2007, the Talk Live CLAMP and the New Year’s Party ~Four Citizens’ Special New Year’s Food Fortress~ was held at the LOFT PLUS ONE hall in Shinjuku. Tickets for this popular event sold out completely only 5 minutes after they were put on sale. It was a Talk Live full of enthusiasm and packed of rumors about the works and private themes of the members of CLAMP. Big guests appearances, distribution of presents via lottery and the screening of a part of “CLAMP IN WONDERLAND 2 1995~2006” animation clip lifted the audience up to heaven. The CLAMP-PLA-NET staff has fully covered this 3-hours long event. Please enjoy the atmosphere of the event with this REPORT if you couldn’t get yourself a ticket.
Hall
The LOFT PLUS ONE hall of Shinjuku is a nightclub in which many events were held by various famous artists of different genres. In April of the last year, the event “TV Anime XXXHOLiC Start of Broadcast Commemoration Talk Live” was held here. The hall was at it’s full capacity as it was in the middle of 3 consecutive New Year’s holidays.
Original Drink
As an exclusive original menu for the event, 3 types of cocktails with the names of CLAMP’s works and the favorite cocktail for each member were prepared.
◎ (left picture, from the left) Vivid blue cocktail, “Ioryogi”, yogurt-based refreshing taste, “White Mokona”, mellow chocolate cocktail, “Black Mokona”.
◎ (right picture, from the left) Satsuki Igarashi’s favorite drink “Mimosa”, “SATSUKI”, Ageha Ohkawa’s “Gin Back”, “AGEHA”, Tsubaki Nekoi’s “Cuba Libre”, “TSUBAKI”, and Mokona’s “Salty Dog”, “MOKONA”.
Original Food
Along with the cocktails, 4 types of original food and desert were served and highly approved!
◎ “CLAMP Piling/Pile” – A pile of very hot potatoes. People could choose their favorite kind of sauce: cheese, anchovy or tomato.
◎ (second picture, from above) Meat-soup Xiaolongbao, “Syaoran-Pou”, and a juicy chicken wing, “Tsubasa”, were considerably popular in the menu.
◎ Desert that images Mokona, “Black and White Mokona”. “White Mokona” is a vanilla ice cream with a lovely soft marshmallow above it. While “Black Mokona” is a chocolate ice cream with a truffe chocolate attached to it.
CLAMP Appearance
In the midst of high expectations from the audience, the CLAMP members finally appeared! Ageha Ohkawa, Tsubaki Nekoi, Mokona and Satsuki Igarashi came to the stage in that order, while the hall burst into a wave of applauses. Firstly, each of them ordered their respective favorite cocktails, and the event started toasting the arrival of the New Year.
CLAMP Mokona Okimono Kimono
After talking about how they spent the end of the past year and how it’s going to be the beginning of the new one, there was a notification concerning the release of “CLAMP Mokona Okimono Kimono”, by Kawaide Shobo Publisher, due to February 14th. By the way, on this day Mokona was wearing a charming kimono with a New Year’s day theme (based on the Lion Dance chinese festival). A shout of joy arose from the audience when she stood up.
Code Geass – Lelouch of the Rebellion
Topic concerning the TV animation “Code Geass – Lelouch of the Rebellion”, for which CLAMP took charge of the original character design concept. The Series Compositor and Script-writer, Ichiro Okouchi-san (right side of the picture), and Producer Yoshitaka Kawaguchi-san participated as guests. They discussed the origins of the request to CLAMP to do the character design for the series, and jokes concerning the work also appeared that seemed to raise surprising voices from each seat.
“Lelouch” Characters
While screening the 6th episode of “Code Geass – Lelouch of the Rebellion”, a talk about each character was bloomed. During the talk, Ageha Ohkawa asked “Is the hair of the Emperor a wig?”, for which the producer Kawaguchi answered “That hair, to tell you the truth, becomes a weapon… perhaps (laughs)”. The audience burst into laughing.
Seiyuu – Inada Tetsu Appearence
The topic moved to TV Anime “Tsubasa Chronicle”. And then, here we have another very special guest participation! Kurogane’s seiyuu, Inada Tetsu-san, appeared on stage. The audience was very noisy due to the exciting surprise.
“Tsubasa” Important Remark!?
Changing from Inada-san, the promotion-clip of “Tsubasa Chronicle” 2nd Series was screened. Even though the anime series has ended, Inada-san is still reading the original work, which is currently being published in “Shonen Magazine”, he used it for practicing his lines. Also, concerning the end of the original work, Ageha Ohkawa said “With the exception of one person, it’ll be a happy ending”, it was an important remark.
2nd Session Starts
The 2nd Session started with the screening of the promotion-clip of “XXXHOLiC”. The hair of the characters was a greatly discussed issue, “In the manga, Doumeki’s hair is shorter”, “How big it must be the hair-roller used by Himawari-chan?”. Also, it was discovered the surprising (?) fact that Doumeki was was very popular among the girls who came to the event.
Question Corner
Some questions were collected in advance through CLAMP@MOBiLE, and in the hall on that day, the members of CLAMP answered those questions. One of them concerned the likes and dislikes of Natto, which brought controversies among the members. By the way, in the past everybody but Mokona seemed to have hated Natto.
Cheerish Image of Lovely Cats
The image of CLAMP’s lovely cats – Kakyou (picture on the left) & Kogane – is projected! Being introduced with Tsubaki Nekoi’s comment “I apologize for such a stupid cat (laughs)”, as the forms of Kakyou and Kogane appeared on the screen. Due to the prettiness, shouts of “How cute~!” could be heard from the seats.
Kogane
When Kogane appeared, Satsuki Igarashi commented “It looks like a tissue will come out of it’s back”. Certainly, it is white and it’s round silhouette reminds it of a tissue case!?
CLAMP Cult Quiz
Participants were the 3 editors who know best about CLAMP. (picture, top right) Tsubasa’s editor, Sugawara-san, XXXHOLiC’s editor, Tsunakawa-san, and Kobato.’s editor, Enomoto-san, bet magnificent items and their own chief-editor faces, unfolding a hot battle.
Everybody Making Mistakes Successively
It started with the problem “What’s the name of the movie being screened in the audio-visual room in the 3rd chapter of ‘Gakuen Tokkei Duklyon’ Vol. 2?”, and the problem “When Ohkawa-sensei was a child, she wanted to be a zabuton, for what reason that might be?” raised some questions too. Everybody was making mistakes successfully, there was one scene where the audience helped the editors who were in trouble.
Magnificent Items for the General Winner
“I had studied in advance”, said Tsunakawa-san full of self-confidence as he won! As a prize, “the right to increase the number of color pages by 1 in this year”, was achieved. By the way, as requested from the audience, the drawing of the color image will feature “Doumeki Shizuka and Haruka”. Don’t miss the combination of Doumeki’s dream (?) color illustration, make sure to check the future issues of “Young Magazine”!!
New Year’s Present Big Lottery Service
Tickets for the lottery service were distributed for those who ordered the drinks and foods, and basing on the admission tickets, the New Year’s Present Big Lottery Service was held. Luxurious prizes such as posters, figurines, various CLAMP-related DVDs and goods, as well as last year Korea’s “SICAF2006” and America’s “Anime expo” limited signed colored papers were given to a lot of people.
Super-rare Present
As for the first prize, “The right to get CLAMP’s autograph”. The winner person got the sign of all members in the bag that was brought, gorgeous. Furthermore, Tsubaki Nekoi made a drawing of Mokona. What kind of New Year’s Present could bring more happiness?
“CLAMP IN WONDERLAND2 1995~2006”
On March 18th the event “CLAMP in 3-D LAND DEBUT!” it’s going to happen, celebrating the sales of the trading figurines, “CLAMP in 3-D LAND”, at the TOKYO FM HALL. A part of the early screening of “CLAMP IN WONDERLAND2 1995~2006” that is scheduled for that event was shown. The members of CLAMP reported that “A lot of characters after ‘CLAMP IN WONDERLAND’ are going to appear, too”. The audience cheered.
Guest Appearance Participation
Continuing the release of 1994’s “CLAMP IN WONDERLAND”, MADHOUSE’s Maruyama Masao-san (right side of the picture), who is also in charge of the production of “CLAMP IN WONDERLAND2 1995~2006”, made an appearance. According to Maruyama-san, “We had a really hard time because there are a lot of characters”. In addition, Shiro Sasaki-san of Victor Entertainment, the music producer in charge of “2”, appeared on stage too.
Present from CLAMP-PLA.NET
This time, CLAMP-PLA.NET prepared presents for the audience. Only for those who attended to “CLAMP and New Year’s Party ~Four Citizens of Special New Year’s Food Fortress~”, a set with “Original Menu Illustration” (top picture) and “Ioryogi Memo Holder” was presented to 5 lottery winners. If you are interested in these items, please apply for them on CLAMP@MOBiLE’s TOP page. The deadline is Monday, February 21st.
My Comments:
– First of all, I translated this by myself (because nobody else would have done it anyway xD) with the help of yoshiyukikun for some particular bits. Since I’m not a pro, I’m sorry for any weird sentence or possible mistakes, but I spent nearly 3 days doing it so, I really did my best! XD
– The Ioryogi drink looks tasty.
– The FOOD looks tasty *-*
– Ohkawa loves hat hence why she makes Kobato wear them too
– I don’t know what illustration Satsuki is showing in the Okimono Topic. Is it an illustration that will be on the book? Or a real-model photograph?
– Ohkawa asked if the Emperor’s hair of Code Geass is actually a wig, LOL! XD
– Surprising fact that Doumeki is popular among the girls? Surprising? There’s a huge ironic tone in that “(?)”.
– It’s amazing how much random things they talk in those events…
– So, what IS the title of the movie of Duklyon Vol. 2 Chapter 3? xD
– Ohkawa wanted to be a zabuton? 
WTH? XD
– So Tsunakawa-san won (not Sugawara as I had assumed in the other event report). And how nice of him, he asked the audience what kind of illustration they would like to see ! Doumeki + Haruka it is, of course!
– FIRST PIC OF CLAMP IN WONDERLAND 2!!! XDDDDDDD Big deal, that’s almost nothing XD All I can see is, what seems to be, a Mokona jumping at the top of the screen xD It does have a “powerful” look, though o.o
– Maruyama Masao was there !!! For those who don’t know, he is simply the founder of MADHOUSE ! XD He participated in the production of the first CLAMP IN WONDERLAND, and he’s also involved in the production of the 2nd one, yay! ^^
– One more name added to the staff of CiW2, Shiro Sasaki, in charge of the Music Production. He produced the music for both CCS movies and for the X OVA, and he’s also the co-producer of Wish’s video-clip. He should take good care of it *so excited for CiW2!*

Awww, right now I don’t! There were Polish scanlations of Duklyon but they dropped the project before they got to that chapter.
If nobody else can get you a scanned page, I’ll scan some pages during this week. But my finals are on Tuesday, so I shouldn’t be touching my scanner today D:

Yeah XDDDDD Personally, I think originally the CLAMP Campus wasn’t TB/X-verse, and then they forgot/didn’t care and put Nokoru and the school without realizing it’s a huge plothole.
…That, or the screenwriter of that movie was a dreamgazer, or paid Hinoto/Kanoe/Kakyou for a plot.

I still find funny the fact that CLAMP are kind of obssesed with Code Geass, even if it was them the ones who made the character designs… I don’t know if they’re doing it because they’re told to in order to make the series even more popular (which would be a shame), so I prefer to think it’s more of their “fangirl side” + Gundam fanatism XD

I would like the ED to be on the same motif as of the first one, with the CLAMP members in SD. I would love to see their new, much-less-fat SD versions animated ^0^

Though, “It looks like a tissue will come out of it’s back” is my absolute favorite part of this (for whatever reason)! hahaha! Kogane does look like a wonderful cat to cuddle with though… I wish I had a fluffy cat like that too.. *sigh*

i’d say it’s probably a pun, you know there’s a kind of dimsum called “xiao long bao”(小籠包, literally “small basket buns”) and is pronounced “Shao Lung Bao”… XD (see here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xiao_long_bao)
the words pronounced quite similarly, the looks are similar, with reference to Syaoran Li as a Chinese and all, so….XDDDD
