I haven’t seen any decently ripped version of the audio drama yet, only a low quality recording of it, and since my copy arrived, I thought I’d give a shot at ripping and sharing it. I’ve never ripped a PLAYBUTTON before (I’ve never owned one before!) so I hope the quality is good enough.

The audio drama actually begins shortly before the ending of volume 3, during Watanuki and Syaoran’s conversation, then it segues into the extra story in the candy world from the booklet. There is actually some more extra dialogs in the audio drama that can’t be found in neither the manga or the booklet, so I was a bit disappointed that a script didn’t come along in the package.

CLAMP no Kyoto Agaru Sagaru #31 – 2016/04/28 (Season 1 Final)

Episode 31, the last one for this first season, is up for download at CLAMP no Kyoto Agaru Sagaru‘s official website.

This episode’s guest is Kotani Kinya, who sang the theme songs for the Tsubasa TV anime and movie adaptations.

As expected, they basically spent the entire episode interviewing him. I am not a big fan of his music, personally, but he speaks very respectfully about CLAMP, he seems genuinely to be a fan. He said he knew Tsubasa before he was chosen to sing the theme song, and that’s nice.

As mentioned previously, this the last episode of Season 1. At the end of the episode each member delivered a message thanking all listeners. It was a cute moment.

Apparently there will be a Season 2 at some point, but no date has been given yet. Probably in October again? I really don’t know. But I really hope it’ll be back, because I really love this show and we always got little news out of it.

In the end, they all said “Until next time!”

This episode’s guest is Mori Seigen, who seems to be a Kyoto ambassador (?) and an acquaintance of CLAMP. They drew this weeding illustration for him back in 2014:

The episode was pretty much all centered on Mori Seigen and very little on CLAMP, so it wasn’t that interesting in my opinion.

Next week will be the final episode and will have Kotani Kinya (the singer of Tsubasa Chronicle OPs) as a guest. Ohkawa hinted that this is only the end of “season 1” of the show, which could mean that there will be a season 2 after a period of break. I really hope so because I love this show.

In this episode, they talked about:

  • Gyoza straps and charms (what?)
  • Card Captor Sakura x Animate Cafe
  • Milky drinks
  • Melon bread
  • Manga recommendations — Mokona recommends Konta Shou no Gouhou Recipe, by Isuke Mada. It’s a new series that is being published in Shonen Magazine R. Although Mokona was the one who recommended this one, I’m pretty sure Ohkawa and Nekoi are crazy about it too since they both have been exchanging tweets with the mangaka; Satsuki recommended Nomijyoshi, an ongoing series by Ukatsu with 2 volumes published; Nekoi recommends After 5 no Joou-tachi, by Ryou Rokutan; Ohkawa recommends Ansatsu Kyoushitsu (Assassination Classroom), by Yuusei Matsui. Jun Fukuyama (Watanuki’s seiyuu) is in the cast of the anime adaptation.
  • The final message was narrated by KBS Kyoto’s soccer narrator xD he even says “GOAAAAAAL” at the end. It’s cute how they keep changing the way the final message comes across.

They started the episode reading a message from a long-time fan (they follow CLAMP since RG Veda was being serialized). The person wrote that right now they like Tsubasa and Kurogane, that they were very sad that Nirai Kanai hen was over and they are looking forward to the next story. Ohkawa then mentioned the tankoubon release coming in July and the Playbutton which she’s going to write the script for. She told the listener to look forward to hearing Kurogane in that audio drama. Ohkawa didn’t mention anything about Tsubasa‘s next story.

Next, another message from a different listener, this one wrote about the April Fool’s prank they did in their twitter account — they transformed their twitter account in a fictitious Detective Agency ran by Watanuki. It seems like they planned everything only a day before, on the night of 03/31.

They spent the rest of the episode talking about how fun and hard it was for them to do this prank and all sort of background information about it. They mention something about giving up days off in order to execute the prank (they drew a special illustration for the occasion and password protected it so that you had to solve a puzzle in order to access it)

At the end of the episode, a surprise! The ending narration requesting questions, which is usually narrated in Japanese, was also narrated in English this time! So cool =) Does this mean is OK for them to receive messages in English? Start sending your messages in English, everyone!

Unlike the previous episode, this one they barely talked about their works.

They started the episode reading a message from a listener who asked if CLAMP had any mascots (Yuru Kyara/ゆるキャラ) that they liked, so each of them picked their favorite non-CLAMP mascots.

Next, another message from a different listener, this time asking for CLAMP’s recommendations on where to eat delicious sweets in Kyoto. They spent a few minutes talking about it.

Then, they moved the topic to Mahjong and mangas/animes/games about it. They basically spent the rest of the episode talking about Mahjong and other games/sports. This part was really hard to follow since I know nothing about Mahjong ^^”

At the end of the episode, they congratulated Iwao Junko for having her own radio show in KBS Radio, which will debut on April 3.

HAPPY CLAMP DAY EVERYONE!

The ladies of CLAMP have been fooling around over at their twitter account. It says they are on holidays and they’ll open again on April 3rd, hummmm… what are they up to?

Their twitter account now mimics a detective agency and Ohkawa’s account became the agency director’s account (who is called Watanuki Kimihiro).

This episode was pretty much entirely centered in Tsubasa and XXXHOLiC, because the last chapter of Nirai Kanai hen was published this month.

Although I’m not secure enough to assume things, it looks like there was a lot of interesting tidbits mentioned by Ohkawa, specially. They also talked about the drawing differences between Watanuki in XXXHOLiC Rei and in Tsubasa (his robe has screentone in Tsubasa) and the difference between Syaoran’s “aa” and “un” answers.

It would be really nice if someone could make a quick summary of what was said, specially during the first 15 minutes.

This episode’s guest was Mika Kikuchi (Mokona’s seiyuu), so they basically spent the entire episode interviewing her.

At one point, around halfway through, Mika Kikuchi interviewed CLAMP a little bit, too.

I apologize for not having anything else to add about this episode, I just find it more interesting when it’s just the 4 of them.

They opened the show talking about their mascots since that was the subject of a message from a listener that Nekoi read.

They talked some interesting trivia like the size of their mascots: Mokona is the size of a hand palm (around 20cm), Kero is the size of a 3-months old cat (around 24-25 cm).

Next, they read a message from a listener about their characters wearing kimonos in their works, Mokona talked mostly here. I think she talked about the things she consider when drawing a kimono for certain characters (wrinkles, belt width, character’s body type etc).

After that, they moved the topic to a more nostalgic one and discussed about their early events such as CLAMP IN WONDERLAND 1 and 2 (not the video, there was a CLAMP IN WONDERLAND 2 event in the 90s). They went very nostalgic here talking about details around these events, like the doujinshi they did featuring characters from JoJo Bizarre’s Adventure, Sonic and their own characters.

They also talked about more recent events, such as the CLAMP FESTIVAL and their attendance in the Nagoya edition in 2012.

I think Ohkawa asks each of them their favorite thing about events. I think Nekoi replied for her it’s all the interesting food and Mokona said she likes the Art Exhibitions.

Although it’s not really an event, they talked about the Animate x Card Captor Sakura cafe that is going to be held throughout 2016.

Lastly, they talked about a “mystery tour” that they would like to do? I’m not sure what this is but I think it’s a Japanese term. Is it like a clue game? Ohkawa then mentions something about wanting to do something in the summer? More events? Or is it this mystery tour thing? I couldn’t understand this part and it’d be great if anyone could confirm this to us.

Next week will have Mika Kikuchi (Mokona’s seiyuu) as guest.

It seems like they heard my complains of last week’s episode. This episode had a lot of interesting and foreshadowing info.

For the opening talk, they read a message from a listener who wrote saying that their favorite work was Tsubasa and GATE 7 (I think?), or maybe they liked seeing GATE 7‘s characters in Tsubasa. They asked CLAMP a question and each member replied and I believe it had something to do with people with important historic roles because Nekoi mentioned Iemitsu and Ohkawa mentioned Marie Antoinette — I’m actually curious to find out what she said about her.

Next, Mokona read a message from a listener who had bought this month’s Shonen Magazine SPECIAL and they wrote about the Nirai Kanai hen reaching its end, so they asked CLAMP about what would come next and suggested that it could well be a “Kinugawa Onsen hen” — this is because CLAMP went there in the beginning of this year to do some location hunt.

After that, the CLAMP members went crazy wondering about the funny things it could happen with the Tsubasa characters in the hot springs of Kinugawa Onsen (the place is famous for its hot springs).

Then, around 8:00 minutes I *think* Ohkawa says that their trip to Kinugawa Onsen was not for the sake of Tsubasa but for the sake of (another) work. But I’m not 100% sure about this. They add that they really enjoyed going there.

I’ve seen people tweeting about the final Nirai Kanai hen volume having a few announcements but again, I’m not 100% sure about this.

After that, they talked about X for a few minutes! Of course, nothing that we *really* want to hear, but they talked about their characters for a but.

Ohkawa joked that Watanuki had been dreaming for 2 months — because that’s how long the manga was on hiatus before the last chapter came out.

Then, Ohkawa asked each member to talk something about Tsubasa, something that they missed or they will miss. Mokona said something about action scenes.

Ohkawa later asked the other members what other world they would like to see the gang go to next. Mokona said something about angelic world? Not sure here, but after that they all starting playing with the idea of the gang landing in Rayearth‘s world, the real one and not an alternate version of it. They played with the idea of Mokona meeting the real creator Mokona from Rayearth.

Mokona said (I think) she would like the gang to land on the otherworld where Ioryogi lives. Ohkawa then says that they already visited the Kobato. world in the TV Anime series (she wrote the script for that episode).

Ohkawa said something about CLOVER‘s world (YES!) and then GATE 7‘s world, like, the real one in Kyoto. But that would be our very own Japan and our very own Earth, right…? She said something about all the lamens they would get so she was probably just joking…

They went back to the supposed “Kinugawa Onsen hen” talk and Ohkawa then said “If Kodansha is OK with it, let’s do it”.

By the way, their radio show was originally scheduled up to March, but according to CLAMP-NET.COM’s calendar, it’s been renewed for one more month (for now). So it’ll run at least until the end of April (yay!). After that, we’ll see.

I’m very proud of my summary this time! Yay me xD
