On its first week of release, Tsubasa – WoRLD CHRoNiCLE – Nirai Kanai hen #3 debuted at the 11th position in Oricon’s weekly comic ranking, with 73.836 copies sold.

These numbers are slighly better than the numbers for volume 2 (55.809) on its first week, but we have to take into consideration the fact that the numbers for volume 2 stand for only 3 days of sales whereas volume 3 stand for 5 days.

Also, these numbers are only for the regular edition. Numbers for the PLAYBUTTON limited edition are unknown, however, they must be lower than 32.600 copies since it didn’t appear in the top 30 ranking.

For comparison’s sake, volume 1 sold 127.643 copies after 6 days of sales and volume 2 sold 55.809 after 3 days.

In case Tsubasa shows up again next week in Oricon’s ranking, I’ll post here about its performance.

“Tsubasa” Special Chapter to be published in Weekly Shonen Magazine (Updated)

To celebrate the release of volume 3 of Tsubasa – WoRLD CHRoNiCLE –, there will be a special chapter of Tsubasa in the upcoming double issue 37 & 38 of Weekly Shonen Magazine, out on August 10.

In a similar fashion, a special chapter was published in Weekly Shonen Magazine to promote the release of volume 1. That special chapter would be later adapted into the PLAYBUTTON audio drama that comes with the limited edition of volume 3.

Update: According to CLAMP-NET.COM, the special chapter will be entitled Tsubasa – WoRLD CHRoNiCLE – Kinugawa Onsen Hen, which means it will be based on a recent trip CLAMP did to Kinugawa Onsen. This contradicts what they said on their radio show when asked if the Tsubasa gang would be landing in a Kinugawa Onsen-like world and they replied that the trip was not for Tsubasa, but for a different work. Unless that question gave them an extra idea?

On another note, according to AnimeNewsNetwork, the magazine where Tsubasa – WoRLD CHRoNiCLE – ran in, Shonen Magazine SPECIAL, is ceasing publication in January 2017. This means that whenever Tsubasa – WoRLD CHRoNiCLE – returns, it will most likely run in a different magazine. Kodansha has another monthly shonen magazine, Monthly Shonen Magazine, where it could be serialized in.

The cover of “Tsubasa – WoRLD CHRoNiCLE – Nirai Kanai-hen vol. 3 is here!

The strange thing is that it hasn’t been announced a special cover for the PLAYBUTTON limited edition, not even at Kodansha’s site. So either there won’t be a special case drawn by CLAMP to hold the PLAYBUTTON (like they did with XXXHOLiC Rei #3), or it’ll be later announced. But CLAMP-NET.COM didn’t announce anything about it so it looks like we won’t have one.

Tsubasa – WoRLD CHRoNiCLE – Nirai Kanai-hen vol. 3 will be released on August 17! (although Kodansha lists it for August 12…)

I was expecting Sakura to be on the final cover… I guess CLAMP are really trying to say that Syaoran and Sakura are apart.

CLAMP no Kyoto Agaru Sagaru #31 – 2016/04/28 (Season 1 Final)

Episode 31, the last one for this first season, is up for download at CLAMP no Kyoto Agaru Sagaru‘s official website.

This episode’s guest is Kotani Kinya, who sang the theme songs for the Tsubasa TV anime and movie adaptations.

As expected, they basically spent the entire episode interviewing him. I am not a big fan of his music, personally, but he speaks very respectfully about CLAMP, he seems genuinely to be a fan. He said he knew Tsubasa before he was chosen to sing the theme song, and that’s nice.

As mentioned previously, this the last episode of Season 1. At the end of the episode each member delivered a message thanking all listeners. It was a cute moment.

Apparently there will be a Season 2 at some point, but no date has been given yet. Probably in October again? I really don’t know. But I really hope it’ll be back, because I really love this show and we always got little news out of it.

In the end, they all said “Until next time!”

Episode 26 is up for download at CLAMP no Kyoto Agaru Sagaru‘s official website.

This episode was pretty much entirely centered in Tsubasa and XXXHOLiC, because the last chapter of Nirai Kanai hen was published this month.

Although I’m not secure enough to assume things, it looks like there was a lot of interesting tidbits mentioned by Ohkawa, specially. They also talked about the drawing differences between Watanuki in XXXHOLiC Rei and in Tsubasa (his robe has screentone in Tsubasa) and the difference between Syaoran’s “aa” and “un” answers.

It would be really nice if someone could make a quick summary of what was said, specially during the first 15 minutes.

Tsubasa – WoRLD CHRoNiCLE – Nirai Kanai hen #3 news

As previously announced by the CLAMP members themselves on their radio show, the third and final volume of Tsubasa – WoRLD CHRoNiCLE – Nirai Kanai hen will have a special limited edition with an audio drama.

According to leaked scans of Chapter 19:

  1. The story of the audio drama is going to be from the special chapter published in Weekly Shonen Magazine in February 2015.
  2. The 16-pages special chapter will come as a booklet so one can follow it as they listen to the audio drama.
  3. The audio drama will come in a “Playbutton” (like the one that came with XXXHOLiC Rei #3).
  4. The cast will be the same as the TV Anime and OADs.

***SPOILER ALERT***

Tsubasa – WoRLD CHRoNiCLE – Nirai Kanai hen #3 will be released on July 15.

I am surprised that it’s going to be released only in July… will they wait for XXXHOLiC Rei #4 to make a joint release? Or is there another reason behind it? CLAMP said on their radio show that there will be announcements in volume 3 so I wonder if that has anything to do with this…

It seems like they heard my complains of last week’s episode. This episode had a lot of interesting and foreshadowing info.

For the opening talk, they read a message from a listener who wrote saying that their favorite work was Tsubasa and GATE 7 (I think?), or maybe they liked seeing GATE 7‘s characters in Tsubasa. They asked CLAMP a question and each member replied and I believe it had something to do with people with important historic roles because Nekoi mentioned Iemitsu and Ohkawa mentioned Marie Antoinette — I’m actually curious to find out what she said about her.

Next, Mokona read a message from a listener who had bought this month’s Shonen Magazine SPECIAL and they wrote about the Nirai Kanai hen reaching its end, so they asked CLAMP about what would come next and suggested that it could well be a “Kinugawa Onsen hen” — this is because CLAMP went there in the beginning of this year to do some location hunt.

After that, the CLAMP members went crazy wondering about the funny things it could happen with the Tsubasa characters in the hot springs of Kinugawa Onsen (the place is famous for its hot springs).

Then, around 8:00 minutes I *think* Ohkawa says that their trip to Kinugawa Onsen was not for the sake of Tsubasa but for the sake of (another) work. But I’m not 100% sure about this. They add that they really enjoyed going there.

I’ve seen people tweeting about the final Nirai Kanai hen volume having a few announcements but again, I’m not 100% sure about this.

After that, they talked about X for a few minutes! Of course, nothing that we *really* want to hear, but they talked about their characters for a but.

Ohkawa joked that Watanuki had been dreaming for 2 months — because that’s how long the manga was on hiatus before the last chapter came out.

Then, Ohkawa asked each member to talk something about Tsubasa, something that they missed or they will miss. Mokona said something about action scenes.

Ohkawa later asked the other members what other world they would like to see the gang go to next. Mokona said something about angelic world? Not sure here, but after that they all starting playing with the idea of the gang landing in Rayearth‘s world, the real one and not an alternate version of it. They played with the idea of Mokona meeting the real creator Mokona from Rayearth.

Mokona said (I think) she would like the gang to land on the otherworld where Ioryogi lives. Ohkawa then says that they already visited the Kobato. world in the TV Anime series (she wrote the script for that episode).

Ohkawa said something about CLOVER‘s world (YES!) and then GATE 7‘s world, like, the real one in Kyoto. But that would be our very own Japan and our very own Earth, right…? She said something about all the lamens they would get so she was probably just joking…

They went back to the supposed “Kinugawa Onsen hen” talk and Ohkawa then said “If Kodansha is OK with it, let’s do it”.

By the way, their radio show was originally scheduled up to March, but according to CLAMP-NET.COM’s calendar, it’s been renewed for one more month (for now). So it’ll run at least until the end of April (yay!). After that, we’ll see.

I’m very proud of my summary this time! Yay me xD
