Fresh news from the CLAMP Talk Show that was held in Tokyo yesterday, at the CLAMP in CARDLAND 2nd Official Event.
When asked about Kobato. anime, Ohkawa said that she “can’t tell yet” any information about it.

Hobby Channel released their version of the XXXHOLiC Shunmuki press conference and while the content is very similar to Presepe’s one (the one I posted a while back), there is one new and very interesting information in Hobby Channel’s.
According to them, Nanase Ohkawa is in charge of writing the lyrics of XXXHOLiC Shunmuki’s theme song!

According to CLAMP’s Ohkawa-sensei, preparations for the script have started, the theme song is being prepared as well.
That’s amazing news! The last song she wrote for a CLAMP anime was Ningyo Hime, Chobits’ 2nd ending theme, in 2002.
Now, I wonder if Suga Shikao will perform any songs for this OAD. He recently released a new album, could he really release a new single by February? Also, Suga Shikao is known for writing, composing and producing his own songs, could he sing a song whose lyrics were written by someone else?
Unless, by “theme song”, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’ll be the opening theme. Saigo no Kajitsu is considered the main theme of Tokyo Revelations and yet, it plays in the ending.
Great news! I’ll be looking forward to it, whatever it is!

Also, today Nanase Ohkawa made a post in her Private Board where she briefly mentions the Tsubasa and XXXHOLiC OADs and the Holitsuba Drama CD.
This month’s issue of graphic design magazine DTPWORLD has a feature about manga design, and CLAMP’s XXXHOLiC is listed in it. undini has kindly scanned it for us (thank you so much!). It’s very small, unfortunately, but I was very curious to check it ^^

Since I haven’t had much time to turn the TV on,
I’ve been listening to those while reading books and magazines.
Even though I liked them from a very long time, recently I’m even more fond of them.
Along with food,
my music taste also changes every year.

テレビをつける時間が格段に減ったので、

Lisa Ono is a bossa nova singer who was born in São Paulo, Brazil. She moved to Tokyo at the age of 10 and began her career singing in her father’s pub. Her first professional album was released on 1989 and is called Catupiry (that title amused me till no end xD) and since then she became a very popular MPB (Brazilian Popular Music) singer in Japan.
Her repertory includes both original and covers of the most famous bossa nova songs. Watch her performing Ela é Carioca on YouTube.
The other guy, Jake Shimabukuro, is an ukelele monster! He was born in Hawaii and that is reflected in his songs. He doesn’t seem to sing (at least I couldn’t find any videos of him singing), he “only” plays instruments (but he does it really, really well). Watch him playing Crazy G on YouTube.
Ohkawa listening to bossa nova? I didn’t know she liked it, and she said she liked it from a very long time. I feel suddenly very patriotic xD
And this lady, Lisa Ono, I didn’t know her, actually I might know her (I think Yoshiyuki-kun might have told me something about her) and she’s really good! I love bossa nova, it’s so relaxing!
Ohkawa’s music taste really amazes me for its diversity, but she has my thumbs up for this one *thumbs up*

Let’s start with today’s birthday, a very important one, because today is the birthday of CLAMP’s leader, Nanase Ohkawa! She’s turning 41 today (although I feel like I shouldn’t give out a woman’s age XP). Congratulations Ohkawa-sensei!
It is no secret that she is my favorite CLAMP member (XD), I can only wish to this brilliant woman, to whom I hold huge admiration, a lot of happiness, achievements, success in her career, and that she keeps twisting our minds with her very rich stories for many years to come (bless her mind!).
I’m looking forward to your next deeds. I always will.
