Several news…

Several news from the past days gathered in one post.

• Seems like the XXXHOLiC 2011 Desktop calendar will actually feature previously released illustrations, you can check the cover at Amazon.jp. There is also a Kobato. callendar coming out from the same company that is releasing the XXXHOLiC one.

• The latest issue of Bessatsu Shonen Magazine is announcing that XXXHOLiC will feature the cover of the magazine’s next issue. The same issue will also carry the application service for XXXHOLiC’s first Fukusei Genga (複製原画), a reproduction of an original art designed to look like one.

• According to Comic Natalie website, the next XXXHOLiC Rou OAD will come out with volume 19, to be released in March, 2011.

• CLAMP’s official website announced their first mobile event entitled CLAMP@MOBiLE Fes! 2011. The event will be restricted to CLAMP@MOBiLE members and details about dates and contents haven’t been given yet, or whether CLAMP members themselves will have some form or participation. I will post here in case this event turns out to be something worth-posting.

  1. Thanks for the news ^^

How did you end up learning the holic calendar would be featuring anime illustrations then? (I mean, the cover shows up a manga pic after all, so even though the company seems to specialize in anime calendars, it made me doubt…)

  2. If every monthly chapter is about 45 pages long… why the release of volume 19 will be on March? It means that there will be a break sometime, maybe on Christmas?? O_O
    I hope it isn’t so…

    • That’s what I thought too… unless these 4 color pages from the latest chapter doesn’t mean it’s the beginning of volume 19?

Either we’ll have more breaks, or it’s going to be like Tsubasa, where the magazine was always 1 volume ahead of the tankoubons.
