CLAMP doing Original Character Design for anime series

CLAMP will be doing the Original Character Design for a new anime series entitled Code Gears – Rebellion of Lelouch, which is set to start on October (in BLOOD+’s place).

More info at AnimeOnDVD.

Maybe this is what that feature in Gundam’s magazine I previously posted is all about O.o Because the anime is about robots.

Anyway, it looks very interesting ! I always wanted to see CLAMP doing the character design for a non-CLAMP anime or even for video-games, they have talent for that, of course. We’ve seen CLAMP doing mechas before in Rayearth and we all know they kick ass. I’ll be certainly watching at least the 1st episode ^^

Thank you muchly tricianna-san because I took that news from her LJ ^^

EDIT: Tricianna just let me know that there are pics available here (the very last post of the thread). One of the guys looks like a mix of Kamui and Kobato’s Debt Collector xD Both look very nice, actually.

EDIT 2: And here (original sketches ! THEY LOOK SO OMG !!! *-*) I’m SO watching this series if the design follows CLAMP’s lines.

  1. All the characters look like re-hashes of others. OTL

I wish they’d have used their old style for this anime.

    • Yeah, a bit, you can spot a thing or two that you’ve seen before in other charas… but that’s the way things go, right? ^^
I’m sure in about time we’ll see their real nature and personality,

    • Indeed they don’t appeal that much to me as well… but I shall give it a try ^^ I thought there was only the 3 charas but there’s a LOT of them and they all look so pretty *-*

  2. The mecha looks a LOT like Rayeart– even the color code is the same!

    And is that a *belt* to keep that girl’s legs closed together? o.o;;

    • They do ! It’s told that they are not original of CLAMP’s but, they do look a lot like Rayearth.

And yeah, I think a belt is keeping that girl’s legs closed together xD

I bet the Victorians wish they’d thought of that. XD

  3. Oh wow… Cool. The girl with green hair reminds me intenstly of the lighthalzen girl from Ragnarok Online. It’s the green hair and the expression. XD

  4. meu deuuuus!! *-* desse jeito eu vou ter mais series pra acompanhar @__@ as imagens estão lindas!! como sempre, CLAMP é CLAMP ne XDD
    flw, yuuto-san o/

  5. OH COOL! mechas aren’t my thing but if it’s by clamp. 0.o …. well gundam seed was nice though, cuz I mainly ignore the fights and Kira was intresting…

ps. I luv “kamui”! I hope he dosen’t get screwed up

  6. Que legal né? Eu tb não gosto de mechas mas vou tentar acompanhar, como eu A-M-O CLAMP né XD Pior que nem estou dando conta dos três que estou assistindo… >.<
Muitos mangakas fazem original character design mas CLAMP nunca fez, que eu me lembre, salvo Sweet Valerian (me corrija se estiver errada) Ainda bem que começaram a fazer isso ^^
Eu achei a cara do Kamui e o outro, a cara do Syaoran ^^'

Ah!

      >Eu achei a cara do Kamui e o outro, a cara do Syaoran ^^’
Hahaha eu tb ! Mas eu achei todo mundo muito bonito *-*

Quanto a sua lista, serio? Q bacana ! Se vc achar essa revista, e puder scaniar pra mim, eu agradeço ^^”
Com certeza akela lista tava furada, mas eu to super curioso pra saber um ranking de X, eu nunca vi !

      Bjs ! ^__^
