XXXHOLiC Single Covers

The Official Site put up the covers for the singles of XXXHOLiC here.

The OP Theme Single, “19 Sai”, is scheduled to be released on April 26th. There’s going to be a special edition with cover by Production IG, among the extras in that edition are an exclusive computer wallpaper and a promotional footage of the anime (around 1 minute).

Yuuko is nice on P IG’s cover, but the design of Shikao’s cover is just oh-so-very-nice *-*

Among the 3 tracks of that single is a remix of Sanagi.

As for the ED Single, “Reason”, is scheduled to be released on May 31st, pretty far. The 1st edition will include a cover by P IG too.

  2. is it just me, or is the way they are coloring the promo images for HOLiC kinda….weird? I can’t put my finger on it, but they just seem to lack the luster that images from past anime have (take other CLAMP related anime, for example…). Like, the way they colored the first promo images for Tsubasa were kinda off too (like the image on its main page)….I mean, I’m still excited for the anime and I can’t wait to hear the songs…but I dunno, Yuuko just kinda looks weird in all the pictures I’ve seen her in ^_^; (and I don’t think it’s the boobs! hehe)

    • I think the animes are becoming more and more computer-ized and this is BAD BAD. I like more the old painted cells. But everything seems to be painted with computer today.
      But I’m pretty happy with Yuuko, aren’t you? She looks far better than in the movie, IMO o.o

  4. Yeah! Totally! Shikao`s cover rules!!!! ….i am sooo stealing that idea for future graphics *lol* xDDDDD
    ok, catched my atention that the Kanji used for “19 Sai” it isn´t actually the age one (btw How old is Wata-chan? o.o)… this one means ability/gift/talent(as far as I know)… now I am curious for the lyric (is there anywhere btw?)
    Anyways each one your entries give me more and more hope (good thoughts and good expectations) about the Holic series as I read… thanks for cheering me up! ^___^

      Are you sure? Even my translator told me it was for age, but I don’t know anymore O.o

      • As far as I know, the kanji age-related is this one: 歳
        And the used on the webpage for the name is this one: 才
        This is the thing, both have Onyoumi reading “Sai”, and you are right, one of the meanings of the second one IS age-related, but it is not so common used like that… actually is pretty weird for me, and I have never saw it used at sentences like “I am XX years old” (just in comparing numbers of years sentences like “less than XX years”), but it is posibble though *I must ask my Sensei to be sure* ^^U
        Anyways, 19 years old makes a lot more sense than 19 abilities to me at least! XD, we´ll know when the lyric come out I think ^^
        AND OMFG! A WEEEEEEEKKK! I haven´t realized that!!!! *feels so happy*
