Even though the official release is only tomorrow, the first OAD of XXXHOLiC Shunmuki appeared earlier today on the japanese video streaming website NicoNico Douga. I have ripped the video file (.mp4) and uploaded it to Media Fire.
I liked the OP a lot, and the animation quality is very high, indeed more than the TV anime but a bit less than the movie. I was actually surprised to see a manga arc I wasn’t expecting to see.
Looking forward to the subbed version to notice bigger differences between the manga and the OAD.
EDIT: The official website of the OADs added a report from the early screening of XXXHOLiC Shunmuki that happened at the end of January.

I downloaded the FLVs and uploaded them to YouTube myself, how come I didn’t think of that sooner? LOL! For anyone interested, XXXHOLiC Shunmuki PV and Tsubasa Shunraiki PV on YouTube.
XXXHOLiC’s one looks much better than Tsubasa’s, in my opinion, whose animation quality looks lower than Tokyo Revelations.
A week ago I made a post supposedly revealing which member of CLAMP was sick. By then we thought it was Tsubaki Nekoi but a reader has approached me to inform that there was a mistake in the translation.
I asked the original translator to take a look at the translation and indeed there was a mistake.
Around the same time, Nanase Ohkawa made a post in her Private Board clearly revealing that she was the one who got sick.

The public screening of XXXHOLiC Shunmuki Part 1 was held yesterday in Tokyo, and here are a few highlights about both the OAD and the event itself:
Slight spoilers, maybe? Don’t read if you want total surprise.
– The animation quality is better than the TV anime and closer to the movie;
– There is a connection with Tsubasa;
– There is the appearance of unexpected character(s);
– A package sample was shown. This time it’ll be different than Tsubasa Tokyo Revelations. It’ll be similar to Tsubasa Deluxe editions (comic + DVD case inside a hard case). Tsubasa Shunraiki will be the same.
– A 40-seconds preview of Tsubasa Shunraiki was shown. It’ll be up at the official website soon.
XXXHOLiC Shunmuki will be released on February 17.
Presepe, Famitsu, MyCom and GA Graphic have reports from the finished after-recording sessions of XXXHOLiC Shunmuki. There’s no new information about the OADs in the articles (that have basically the same contents for all four), but they do have the first screencaps of it, so make sure to check them out!

The official website of the Tsubasa and XXXHOLiC OADs announced the guest list to appear in the first screening of XXXHOLiC Shunmuki Part 1.
The guests are:
Tsutomu Mizushima (director);
Sayaka Ohara (Yuuko’s seiyuu);
Mika Kikuchi (Mokona’s seiyuu).
CLAMP will not be attending the event.
The screening will happen on the next 25th, in Cinema Ikspiari as part of PRODUCTION I.G Theater Festival.

There are no new information about the anime. Cast is still undecided. There are, however, the names of the producer and producer assistant, but I can’t understand the kanjis =_= Producer is Yuuji Shibata and Assistant Producer is Yuuko Sugie (couldn’t find any info on her).
I think we can expect a new article each month in Newtype from now on, I guess that’s what happens when the manga is being serialized in Newtype itself xD Good for us!
I love the image, by the way. Madhouse will not disappoint us =D

The release dates of Tsubasa #27 and XXXHOLiC #15, thus Tsubasa Shunraiki Part 2 and XXXHOLiC Shunmuki Part 2, have been postoned by a month.
The new release dates are:
Tsubasa #27 – Tsubasa Shunraiki Part 2: May 15;
XXXHOLiC #15 – XXXHOLiC Shunmuki Part 2: June 23.
The release dates of Part 1 for both Tsubasa and XXXHOLiC remain unchanged, the same applies for the reservation deadlines for all 4 volumes.
The information comes from the official website of the Tsubasa and XXXHOLiC OADs. According to them, the change was due to “various circunstances”.

Takuya Matsushita, who works at the rights departments at Kodansha and is directly responsible for the Tsubasa & XXXHOLiC OADs project, has updated his column and he reveals that the after-recording (dubbing) sessions of XXXHOLiC Shunmuki #1 has been completed. The first public screening will happen on January 25 at Tokyo Disney’s Cinema Ikspiari.
Also, several online stores are stating that the release date of CLAMP IN AMERICA guidebook has been pushed to October 20.
Quite bad, we’ll have to wait a bit more to read it, but that’s okay if that means time for improvements.
