The fourteenth volume of Card Captor Sakura ~Clear Card arc~ debuted at the 5th position in Oricon’s weekly ranking, with an estimate of 40,892 copies sold in its first week of sales for the regular edition. The Special Edition (Acrylic Charms) did not appear on the weekly top 30.

This is the second lowest sales for a first week, only behind the first week sales of volume 12 (49,816 copies).

However, it is worth mentioning two points: 1) volume 14 was released on March 31st and the ranking is up until April 2nd, meaning that volume 14 had only 3 days of actual sales out of a full week. Taking that into consideration, it had a decent run. Still, previous volumes of Clear Card went through a similar scenario and still had a better sales performance in their first week; and 2) The first 4 titles are not published by Kodansha, meaning Card Captor Sakura ~Clear Card arc~ volume 14 was this week’s most sold title published by Kodansha.

Finally, it is always worth mentioning that Oricon only takes into account a certain number of shops and preorders are likely not taken into account. These numbers are only an estimate and it’s possible that the real figures are higher than these.
