Like I said last week, it seems like very occasionally CLAMP will treat us with some nice, non-chibi drawing:

Another set of 8 pages for this chapter — 26 pages so far for volume 1. Next week there will be no chapter, so that the next chapter will be on the following Shonen Magazine issue.

  1. That dude always looked so cool in CLAMP’s fanart sketches. I love how the “normal” scenes in HiGH&LOW echo Gate 7, but have a look all their own. (CLAMP has gotten so much better at drawing different face shapes and body types for men than back when they were running the original CCS!)

Do you think this is going to be a one-volume series?

    • I know! I love the GATE 7 echo too! It is true that they have taken their physiognomy skills to another level in the last few years. They really capture each one’s individuality and their characters have always something that make them unique.

It’s hard to say how long this will last, but definitely not much. For all we know, it could go on for as long as the HiGH&LOW franchise is happening, but I think it will be between 1 and 3 volumes.

    • I hope so! Maybe if the readers give very positive feedback about the non-chibi, we will see them more often.
