As part of the celebrations of the 60th Anniversary of Nakayoshi, Kodansha’s magazine in which Card Captor Sakura was published from 1996 to 2000, a special edition of the manga has been announced.
Instead of the usual 12 volumes, this commemorative version was reorganized to fit in 9 volumes. All covers will have new illustrations drawn by CLAMP.
Volumes 1 and 2 will have a simultaneous release on March 27.
This commemorative version will also have 3 exclusive benefits:
1) Digital version for those who purchase the printed version.
2) Latest and unreleased illustrations featured on the Card Captor Sakura Art Exhibition, available on the digital version.
3) Illustration card featuring the most popular designs used for telephone cards in the past. Each volume will come with a different illustration card.
Nice to know that the unreleased illustrations will get a proper release, even if it’s only a digital release. And that cover illustration is beyond gorgeous! If the others will follow the same style, I am already looking forward to see the other 8 illustrations.
Does anybody know how to download the digital version of the manga? I have the codes but I don’t know how to do it. Please help me! Thanks.
You have to make an account first, here: https://codigi.jp/service/nc/0000000s/000001
Just put your e-mail address (twice), a password (twice as well) and a 12-digits codigi code from one of your CCS books.
It’s all in Japanese so you might wanna use an online translator to help you through the process 😉 good luck!
I got the books yesterday and they were also sealed with plastik but somehow my codes don’t work (it says: Problem with the code). Does anyone know why? Or how to do it properly 😦 ?
I had this same problem and was stuck for a long time! Then I realized that the first letter, C, was actually capitalized. It is a little hard to tell from the font they used for the code, so I hope this could help you out.
Are the 60th anniversary CCS volumes in english or japanese?
They are all in Japanese.
Do you know if they are making an english version?
Not as far as I know.
