Kobato. on Newtype’s cover

The February issue of Newtype magazine went on sale today in Japan, and apart from carrying a new chapter, Kobato. also features its cover:

LOL at Ioryogi eating snowflakes xD And isn’t Kobato just adorable? Makes me wanna pull her cheeks~~~

This is the first time Kobato. appears on Newtype’s front cover, let’s hope it’ll be the first of many others to come. This issue also contains a feature about CLAMP’s Heroines.

Also, slightly spoilery? I don’t know, read if you’d like to know what happens in the next chapter.

According to Ikuko Enomoto’s column of CLAMP-PLA.NET, we’ll be seeing Chiroru’s manager in this chapter! Great, I really like the mana–, who am I kidding, I really like Ueda!! And what’s more, apparently Kobato’s gonna try to heal him, humm.

Kanrinin-san, that’s Chitose!! Oh my god, now I’m even more curious to read this chapter!! ;_;

  3. By confirm, do you mean ‘translate’? If so:The Newtype going on sale on the 10th of January, edition #2, Kobata-chan will try her hardest do ‘heal.’ This time it’ll be kanrinin-san’s heart; will Kobato be able to heal it?(Wasn’t sure what the usual translations, in Kobato’s case, for “癒し” and “管理人さん,” so I left them as “heal” and “kanrinin-san,” respectively.

      So it’s actually Chitose? Oh my! That’s how they call her, kanrinin-san.

      I wonder what my beloved Chitose has that must be healed ;_;

          • As long as Icchan isn’t busy inventing crazy life-like dolls that will break their “mother’s” heart, I’m sure that he’s taking good care of her. However, knowing Icchan and his craziness…. 😛

              You know, I’ve wondered before if their marriage is a “sea of roses” (if you know what I mean ^_~) or not xD I guess we’ll find that out sooner or later.

              What if she can’t have kids in Kobato. as well and her twins are actually adopted?

              • It can be ‘chan,’ if you like. OR ‘SAMA.’ XD

                (Pssst, the expression is “bed of roses.”) I wonder about that too! I can’t help but think that seeing the dysfunctionality of their relationship would be more interesting than, say– the actual contents of Angelic Layer and Chobits. >_____>

            • That’s true, but it’s Kobato., she has to heal the biggest number of people as she could xD As much happy and perfect and they seem to be, they must have some kind of problem to fix too. Let’s just hope it’s not something as grave as in Chobits xD

      • Probably! “Kanrinin” is the title for the person in charge/responsible for an apartment complex. If you’ve ever read Maison Ikkoku (a series about a bunch of crazy people living in a small apartment complex), the female lead Kyoko was the building’s kanrinin.

        Since Chitose was in charge of the apartment in both Chobits and in Kobato, it’s not at all weird that she’s called by the same title in both series.

      That is right, she decided she would heal Sayaka. But that’s the thing, she must heal a lot of people, not just one ^^

    • I know he’s your man ! XDDD I really like him as well! But I was mistaken, the online translator said Kobato would heal the “manager” so I took it as Ueda =\ But it’s actually “kanrinin”, or Chitose, my woman XD

      Both are very nice, aren’t they? I guess we are just sick of the other one? XDDDD Let’s see if this will be vol. 2’s cover ^^

Hontou kawaii desu wa!!! >/////< My, after reading the translations… I'm very excited to know what's going to happen. But first, I need to catch up on the "drop" chapters… *sighs*
