About CLOVER’s Music Video

First of all, I want to thank ALL and each of you for the amazing (and somehow expected) feedback I had due to CLOVER’s Music Video. For your gratitude, I mean. I got over 100 comments and I wish I could welcome each of you in particular but that would turn half of the comments in “You’re welcome ^__^”s. Also, I got around 10 people who friended me in one day, which is great, so Thank you all very much indeed *bows*.

Second, and as important as first, I would like to make a correction regarding CLOVER’s original source. I originally posted that atzur-san’s friend was the one who recorded it on the theaters of Japan. And apparently that’s not really the case.

He did get it from his friend and he did let me know about it (and I’ll be eternal grateful for that), the only difference is that his friend didn’t actually record it, s/he got it from a site. But that’s not saying that Atzur-san lied, it’s more like he must have misunderstood the situation. There’s no need to enter in bigger details because that’s not the point of this post.

As I said in my previous post, the people who somehow managed to get this ULTIMATE CLAMP rarity deserves full credit, and we must knowledge the amazing work they did by bringing this video to “life”.

That said, please be aware that the original video of CLOVER came from Catsuka.com.

They were kind enough to let me keep the video in my server, so it’s staying there ^^.

I would also like to special thank the people who somehow managed to “defend” me and my actions on the little conflict that happened in the end of the comments from my previous post. Thank you muchly for the support !

  2. Sorry about averything, >___>. But, as you say, the importat thing is now everyone has been able to watch the video ^^. About the fansubbing, it’s only encoding left (and we weren’t able to find the “strange languages” lyric part, but well, if someday a lyric is released, we’ll complete it ^^U), and we will give credit, of course ^^. And because of that, thanks to everyone for helping us, trying to “know” the complete lyric.

  4. I downloaded the video, and I’m bowing down in worship. 🙂 My computer’s so old, that’s probably why I can’t view it yet but I’ll figure out a way to see it now that I have the file.

    Achei que ele pegou pesado, poderia ser mais gentil…
    O estranho é que conheci um cara, no Anime Friends, que (pelo menos, ele dizia.. ele era de um fansub) tinha esse vídeo. Isso foi em julho…
    Tentei de várias formas entrar em contato mas ele nunca respondeu os meus emails e me ignorava no msn. Pode?! Fiquei furiosa com tudo aquilo…
    Se ele tinha, existia uma cópia já… Estranho ¬¬
    Mas o importante é que o vídeo apareceu finalmente. Só senti falta da Oruha…

    I gave a quick look yesterday in my Clover program, looking for the language is which the foreign words are written, too quick it seems, I totally missed the sentence’s point, just grabbing the French, Greek and Portuguese’s part. A closer study, well a complete decyphering, revealed the words were made up.

    Here’s the exact words of the music composer about the lyrics:

    詞は、原作の言葉をピックアップして、それにプラス、マイナスして作りました。それ以外の言葉は何語とは言えない造語です。イメージとしてはフランス語・ギリシャ語・ポルトガル語の雰囲気がミックスされた感じでしょうか。私にとってこの種の言葉を使うことは、はっきり意味のある言葉を使うよりも、潜在的な気分をより強く表現できるように思えるんです。

    About the lyrics, I picked up the words from the original work, then add and substract stuff while working on it. These foreign words aren’t any spoken language, they are made up. The result may feel like a mix of French, Greek and Portuguese. I do think the utilisation of this kind of words rather than ones having clear meaning gives a stronger impression of the latent mood.

  9. SORRY SORRY SORRY!!! Because I went to the other post to read what you were talking about and I’ve seen was me who gave him one more reason for his demands… was me who posted the van_duran link ;_;

    Was not my intention, I never wanted to cause you troubles!! I didn’t pay attention to where the link was actually from… from that catsuka site *sobs* and that ‘person’ was TOO rude, the same thing could have been said in a more polite way, he deserves the credit but not too much respect…

    • Oh no, omg, no way any of you have fault. No one has it ! It helped to uncover the truth and give credits for the proper people. Don’t worry about it at all, really ^__^

      Atzur-san also didn’t notice it was from Catsuka… or else I’m sure he would have told me ^^

    • One more time, I’m sorry, I have been too rude indeed.
      I admit that I jumped a level.
      I thought to ask simply credits corrections, then I thought (according to this “screener” false story) that I will discuss with people who will said that I’m a liar, so I directly prepared all the proof (links, video in high quality), and I was very annoyed doing that, it made me even more harsh …

      I know that, on internet, some people respect credits, and other people don’t care credits, don’t respect fan efforts to share … moreover, some people wants to appropriate some sharings.
      Honestly, I thought that this copy of my Catsuka file and this false screener credits was invented and provided by such bad guys … I could naturally think that there was a liar in the process, because it’s not a screener … it’s a vhs-rip, from a profesionnal VHS, and a profesional source, who has made the rip only for me.
      My goal was not recognition, but mainly to struggle with this kind of people, I thought I was in that case …
      Unfortuately, and finally, my target was wrong, i’m sorry … chibiyuuto ans atzul never wanted to steal me.
      It was just a not lucky situation …

      I’m sorry … I make a lot of efforts on Catsuka, a lot of efforts in order to permit fans to discover unreleased contents, so I’m very (too) sensitive to credits lacks, and principally, doubtful credits.

        You are right to seek for credits, especially when you have such an amazing site like yours. But I’d advice you to put the credits on the video itself. You did find my LJ (how, btw?) but who knows how many other sites out there are not taking your material without proper credits?

        Also, please let me know (my e-mail is at my profile) in case you can share your higher quality version of the video ^__^
