Tsubasa 100 & XXXHOLiC 93

The Room of Requirement

Big bows to ladydarkmoon-san ^___^

Ow, she also has the Tsubasa and XXXHOLiC 2006 calendar, for those interested ^_~


Tsubasa:

CLAMP has this thing which is: color pages = Fei Wan’s surroundings… they always make the color pages regarding the other Syaoran o.O

Fei Wan’s assistance is saying that what he’s trying to do is impossible… And so thinks Yuuko, because “Clow is proofing so”… but Fei Wan is clearly determined to make his “dream” come true and by that he needs the power underneath the ruins.

My friend Sakura-chan and I were making theories about it… and she came up with a really good one. She thinks Fei Wan is trying to revive someone, because according to her, Eriol said that reviving someone is “impossible” in CCS (Clow didn’t revive himself, he divided himself in 2 bodies, we all know that). And Yuuko said that he’s actually “proofing” it… while a very dead-like CCS!Clow appears in the background. She could be meaning that not even he could revive… he had to reborn in someone else’s body.

Sounds really good, what do you think?

So they found the feather already? Good. It’s inside a very Clow-like book. In fact, the memory book that Syaoran opened was a copy of the book with the feather, that’s why it’s behavior is to show the memories of someone else.

But it’ll be hard for them to get into it since there are those beasts protecting it… ah .__. They really look like Kero-chan so I won’t be surprised to see him later.

I was a bit disappointed to have only 22 pages for such special chapter…

XXXHOLiC:

So a new arc starts, more love for Yuuko for being so deliciously evil by making Watanuki carry her fridges ! xDDD

I thought it was a funny chapter because I’m JUST like Watanuki, because me too, I always get the one that has SOMETHING wrong with ¬¬

I don’t think Doumeki will have to wear glasses, though… because Watanuki is claiming from seeing TOO much from a 1.0 sight… and that’s what Doumeki has now o.O But I do think his archery abilities may be affected… I wonder if that may change things later o.O

And let’s just wait to see what’s inside Ohkawa’s mind and that little mascot thingie o.O

  2. Hum, Fai on a pic with a gun again while the other boys have swords (well, it’s a gun and a riffle this time, but still), is this forshadowing?

    Faiwang remind me Taishakuten in some ways, I can’t get exactly why (maybe it’s just because they are both Clamp’s vilains … ¬_¬)

    So the book wasn’t the original, o.O what a powerful copy, I wonder what the original can do deside holding Sakura’s power and memories (maybe nothing at all except look like a book).

    I wonder why Yuko from Holic doesn’t look like Yuuko from Tsubasa this week. Even what she said seem unrelated from one magazine to the other … but her dress sure look like it come from Tsubasa actual country. ^_^

      I know what you mean… they are both very ambitious and they’ll both do what they have to do no matter what. Specially because I think Fei Wan is doing all this for a “good” (if we can call it like that) reason.

        I suppose so, or maybe it’s just the mystery around his goal, the way he never talk of it in a strait foward way (not that we want to).

  6. muuuuu~ thankyou again for the zips, and to too! (>u<) Gosh, the splash page this time was really pretty (*u*) I really like it! *especially Sakura’s outfit* X333 Because it’s so elaborate?

    Anywho… somehow when I first saw the book, it reminded me of the ‘Create’ card in CCS XD;; Altho I don’t think it’s the same design on the cover… *shrugs* And yes! Those 2 lions reminded me of Kero-chan the moment I saw them too! XDDD

    I must say, you and Sakura-chan’s theory is pretty good! It explains a lot of fits the pieces together quite nicely! *thumbs up for the both of ya*

    i want to learn japanese now that people can’t fansub TRC because of that funimation…i am gonna be so behind…:'( tell me is it a hard language to learn?

    • Beside having to think backward, learn two sylable symbol systems plus at least 500 kanji, learn words that have no commun roots with English and get use to a language that works on sylable instead of tonic accent, Japanese is not that bad (unless strongly motivated, I don’t recomand it as a second language).

      • thinking backward? as the english variant of passive talk (which i use all the time in reality XDDD) two syllable symbol systems…that’s fine…the kanji i don’t like but usually aren’t there those little letters next to the kanji to translate it to…normal kana? no roots with english…..well a lot of words are rooted from english, just not all (like kohi = coffee! yay!) . syllable instead of tonic? thats way easier then mispronouncing something wrong when there is a fixed pronounciation system..

        the only thing i don’t like is the longevity of this whole process…to learn and stuff. i live in canada and i know like half-french and they start teaching it at the schools when you were a kid….

        well i can give it a shot and /try/ to learn the language :Pi already know some words from anime and j-pop XP

        • Not thinking backward as passive talk, thinking backward as Yoda’s talk, here’s two exemples:

          Watashi wa sono eiga wo minai tsumori desu.
          I, that movie, see not, plan to. (I plan not to seing that movie)

          Itou-san wa kotoshi sotsugyou suru gakusei desu.
          Itou, this year, to graduate, student, to be. (Itou will be a graduated student this year)

          In a comic shounen magazine yes, but almost no where else

          That’s less than 1% of the words, not enough to be useful

          But you are already use to French so you should be fine with the syllable instead of tonic and you already know how to think differently while using another language. So it won’t be an easy road, but if you are ready to put the efforts, you should be fine.

              that’s not entirely true– japanese does have tones (high and normal), but textbooks tend to gloss them over entirely. i can assure you, tones *do* exist in japanese. and japanese and french are nothing alike (i’m canadian too), so that’s kind of stupid reasoning. why are so many bilingual/trilingual students in my class failing out? because it’s an insanely difficult language that too many people don’t take seriously enough. >_

  9. so here my theory (as we already talk a bit on msn)

    I don’t think tatoo!ChibiShaolan is dead. I think Fei Wan tried to do the same thing than Clow (get ride of to much power) except Clow couldn’t really do without dying and Fei Wan didn’t want tatoo!ChibiShaolan to die (maybe the chibi is his grand son or son)

    So in my theory, Fei wan wants everything, he wants to lift ChibiShaolan’s burden, he wants him to live and he certainly don’t want to plot a thousand years scheme to free ChibiShaolan.
    He learned that Sakura’s power could do the trick and tried to steal it.

    In that scenario Shaolan and ChibiShaolan would be like Fujitaka and Eriol (the one without power vs the one who stay a child)

    IMHO, it’s coherent and a full circle scenario case the only problem it’s that it could be repetitive for old clamp readers.
