The Official Sites for both XXXHOLiC and Tsubasa movies are now formally open, nothing like a good flash version.
Both have more information and some bigger versions of old pics. I’m looking forward to that “???” section on XXXHOLiC’s one.
The only thing that I did not like was the “simply” fact that XXXHOLiC’s movie will be 60 minutes long !!!! The hell, what kind of “movie” has 60 minutes?? Gosh, Japan and that stupid “90 minutes” thing (60 for holic + 30 for tsubasa).

And then they wonder why I was so pissed when I first heard about the Tsubasa movie. I KNEW nothing good was going to come out of it, and boy I was right.

Well, apart of that, I love that pic of Kobato-chan!!! I want one notebook like that! … just to know how my university teachers will react XD …Maybe thay would see me and scream “A CLAMP Goodie!!! KYaa!” XDDDD

Yea, as much as I love Tsubasa, I think xxxHOLIC should take this one. The Tsubasa movie doesn’t sound promising anyways. And what kind of movie lasts 30 minutes long?! I’d rather have xxxHOLIC take 90 minutes long and BeeTrain just focus on improving Tsuabasa’s anime to perfection. 😀

Me too… I mean, can’t japanese jerks people stand a 2 hour movie? Gosh… why every anime movie has to be exactly 90? So predictable ¬¬
This is going beyond wrong… everything was fine, with a XXXHOLiC and Tsubasa movie, but the thing started to smell bad when we found out that it was going to be a simultaneous screening (both at the same session)… and now it got worse.
What CAN they do with 60 minutes? T_T

Tsubasa and xxHoLIC Movie
CLAMP has arrived very low with this. 60 minutes of [ xxxHOLIC ] and 30 minutes of [T s u b a s a], is incredible. It will be necessary to have patience, and to wait for as it is the final result of the films.

These short movie double feature things are done all the time. Still, it’s unfortunate. I always felt the CCS movies ran a bit long. Be glad that XXXHolic is getting anything at all. I mean, all Clover and Wish got were music videos, blargh.

It’s not the first time there’s an anime movie 30 minutes long… One of Ranma movies, the one about Kuno’s “phoenix”, it’s als a half an hour movie, and some people mistake it with an OVA. But hey, movie animation quality! ^^ And the story is from a manga chapter, so I liked it a lot.
Did people expect to compress XXXholic in a half an hour movie? OMG. Since it is, as we all know, an exclusive anime story (take it as a manga story) alone, one hour is a good amount of time to tell a story. They will do they best bringing us a good animation with a story planned to fit the time limit. Sure we want more XXXholic (since it’s one of the most decent things CLAMP have done recently) and Tsubasa, but let’s see what comes out of this 😉 BTW, nice designs in the web! Domyouji is great xD I hope there’s Himawari too!
Nevertheless, I’m starting to dislike current times CLAMP fandom… people’s sure way too exigent with little things or with adaptations. I’ll watch the movies somehow, tell if I liked them or not, and why. NEVER before I see anything.

If Himawari was in the movie, she would be listed in the credits, and she’s not…
But I think most of the dissatisfaction comes from the Tsubasa plot. It seems like an overglorified filler episode, complete with everyone’s favorite character that should not appear again, Tomoyo.
Just about the only thing that the Tsubasa movie has for me is the character designs. Aaaah.

Oh, hey, the xxxHOLiC site just updated! Mokona is now on the front page saying… Er… Something… And the secret page is still labeled as “coming soon,” but it’s called コレクターの部屋, or Collector’s Room.
Not only that, but the original soundtrack will be released by Pony Canyon and the theme song is サナギ～theme from HOLiC the movie～ (Sanagi), performed by Suga Shikao (probably best known… Or not… For Aozora from Dark Water).
There’s just new stuff all around the site (including new production stills I hadn’t seen before). Go check it out!

Oh, man, I should explore the entirety of a site before posting.
The Tsubasa movie will have a new OP performed by Kinya, “aerial,” and the ED is アムリタ (Amurita) by Makino Yui.
