After a good first episode, comes a rather disappointing second episode u.u And again this one wasn’t written by Ohkawa-sensei, it was written by Sakurai Yoshiki, instead, who also was one of the 2 script-writers for the XXXHOLiC movie.
Staff for episode 3 – “Angel”:
Storyboard & Episode Director: Junichiro Taniguchi. He was also in charge of Key Animation for the movie.
Animation Director: Tarou Iwasaki.
This episode will really be the one of the Angel Game, in the school with the girls. I’m really glad they kept the Chii ears (at least one crossover ¬¬ I hope it’s not because Chobits also aired on TBS) but I have a bad feeling that we won’t be seeing Yuuko getting Fye’s staff as a payment since Mokona didn’t eat any spirit ball on episodes 1 nor in 2. So yeah, it’ll probably be cut, again, or maybe be placed later on the series.

They are a new group, and I’m still downloading my file, so I can’t tell you how is their job. But it’s something for the people who waited for a subbed version.
Also on XXXHOLiC, it seems that Tsubasa isn’t the only one getting new Drama CDs. People who got their copy of this week’s YM in advance told that they announced Drama CD(s) for XXXHOLiC! I just hope Ohkawa-sensei gets to write it/them.
No subbed version yet, but Shinsen has confirmed already that they’ll be doing it so maybe tomorrow or the day after we’ll have it done. I’ll do a review as well once I get the subbed version.
For now, I’ll feed you with some news:
The TV series barely started and they are already talking about DVDs releases.
The Volume 1 will come out on July 26th. A box illustrated by CLAMP and a “Start Book” will be given for the limited first print. The box can keep 4 DVDs cases and they say it’s gonna be a total of 8 DVDs, so we can expect a second box to be done as well. Too bad CLAMP won’t draw each DVD cover (like Chobits, CCS and AL), but at least we’ll have a box (hopefully 2), and boxes are always nice.
Each DVD will contain 3 episodes. The funny thing is that they also say that it’ll be a total of 24 episodes (3 episodes per DVD + 8 DVDs = 24, of course) INCLUDING 2 episodes that won’t be broadcasted. So that means the series is gonna be 22-episodes long? O.o Are those 2 episodes like those “all-in-one” ones of Chobits?
The staff of the 2nd episode has been announced:
Animation Director: Kaoru Agatsuma.
Episode Director: Makoto Baba.
Storyboard: Kaoru Agatsuma.
Sorry, Anime News Network has no profiles added for those guys, they must be pretty unknown.
The staff is different of the 1st episode, let’s see how those guys can handle it.
Btw, for those who haven’t seen the Raw of episode 1 yet, episode 2 named “Falsehood” is indeed about the lady who has the bad habit of lying, and the summary seems pretty faithful to the manga as well.

April has come and here are this month’s news.
Less than a week for the opening and new information is starting to pop up.
The official site has been updated with information for the 1st episode.
Title: Hitsuzen
Director and Producer: Tsutomu Mizushima.
Supervisor: Izumi Hiroyo (was in charge of Key Animation on XXXHOLiC’s Movie).
Unfortunately, no words regarding who’s gonna write the script u.u
The summary of the episode seems quite faithful to the first chapters of the manga.
Also, Anime News Network has the name of 3 more episodes:
02 – Falsehood (Kyogen).
03 – Angel.
04 – Divination (Uranai).
Do you guys have any idea of what each of those episodes might deal with? O.o My bets are the most obvious ones xDDD “Falsehood” being for the lying girl arc and “Divination” for the fortunetelling arc. Can “Angel” deal with the computerholic woman? O.o
