Card Captor Sakura – Clear Card arc – to end on volume 14

The belt (obi) that will come with Card Captor Sakura – Clear Card arc – vol. 13 (on sale October 13) is revealing that volume 14 (to be released in 2023) will be the series’ last volume:

This is in alignment with a number of indications that the series was coming to its end:

  • CLAMP revealing in a twitter space in the beginning of the year that the story was heading towards its climax stage;
  • XXXHOLiC Rei serialization to be resumed in early 2023;
  • CLAMP revealing in a twitter space in the middle of the year that after this last 2-months break (August-September), they would no more be taking breaks until the end of the story;
  • The overall current development of the story.

So this is it! Buckle up, we’re finally reaching the end. Exciting!!!

  1. This is sooner than I thought! The magician association seems so deep and big that they can draw a whole new arc about it!! Maybe another new card arc will come?! I mean, Sailor Moon has 5 arcs and Sakura chan has a high school, and university to develop with!!

    • I definitely think that not everything about the Association will be explained. They are part of the CLAMP universe now and we might learn more about them through other works or even through new CCS arcs.

      But I don’t think we will be getting a new arc for CCS straight away. I think the senseis will want some rest from CCS for now. But they can always come back to it later, of course.
