The second volume of what would become CLAMP’s most popular series during their doujinshi days, Shoten 2, was released on Christmas day in 1988.
CLAMP raised and bent the bar of doujinshi book design with this in their glossiest release yet at the time.
The February 2020 issue of with magazine (Kodansha) will come with a Magic Knight Rayearth & Card Captor Sakura sticker in celebration of CLAMP’s 30th Anniversary.
It is unclear whether this will be a new illustration or not, but I would guess so.
The magazine will be released on December 26 and it’s available for pre-order on Amazon Japan.
I wonder if it’s going to be a crossover illustration? I hope so!
Update: the magazine cover can be seen below. You can see a glimpse of the Rayearth and CCS sticker and unlike what I expected, it is not a new illustration. Too bad.
