Where can I watch Card Captor Sakura Clear Card TV Anime? – A useful guide
If you watch the anime via one of these channels, you’ll be supporting the creators and helping to make Card Captor Sakura even more popular worldwide.
In the manga, the way FLIGHT is secured is a big mess, specially in the magazine chapter. CLAMP fixed that a little for the tankoubon release and for the anime, they did justice to the card by proving a whole episode for it.
Sonomi!! ♡ She is as lovely and crazy as always. I am happy Ohkawa managed to fit her in even though she doesn’t appear in the manga at all in that chapter.
So Tomoyo asked her mother’s company to develop a recording drone. Of course. That is not in the manga, though, and I wonder why. It seems like the most logic thing and the script was written by Ohkawa after all. Maybe we will see it in the manga in the future? Either way, this will elevate Tomoyo’s recordings to another level, haha.
The part where Sakura lay all cards on the table so that Kero can take pictures and send them to Eriol was interesting. Yes, Kero, that is your role as guardian, take care of your master, do something useful for once! =P That is also not in the manga and at least it shows that they are still somewhat worried about the nature of those cards. Sometimes I feel like that issue is put aside in the manga. Also, Syaoran asks Kero if Spinel ever replies his messages was a bit shady xD
As I said above, it seems that Ohkawa redeemed herself by with how FLIGHT was secured. It was nice to see Sakura using all those different cards. Also, I am getting strong “The Jump” vibes from GRAVITATION. Is GRAVITATION the new “The Jump”?
What was the deal with Tomoyo all breathless and the two of them WORRIED about her? I guess it makes sense that she’s breathless considering she had to run all the way to Sakura. Syaoran is athletic so he didn’t feel as tired and Sakura had used GRAVITATION. I like those little details that make things more realistic. But on the other hand, Ohkawa should be just as careful with other vital plot elements, like the potential plot hole we will see in the next episode.
So, one of the things we were all curious about was whether Akiho’s house was going to be Eriol’s house in the anime as well. Judging from the preview of the next episode, Akiho is indeed living in Eriol’s former house. As we know, the house was demolished in The Sealed Card movie and an amusement park was built in its place. If she’s living there, that means the house was never demolished in the first place and we have a potential plot hole alert or The Sealed Card movie should no longer be considered as part of the anime storyline, which would be so weird, if you ask me. Let’s wait and see if this topic is going to be addressed any differently from the manga or if it’s going to be the same.
Lastly, I just want to point out that the animation throughout the entire episode was very on point. Even the faraway shots looked good.
Next episode shall begin in Tomoyo’s house still (judging from some leaked screen caps). I think it will be the part where she takes Syaoran’s body measures to make his costumes.
I
just
loved
the whole interactions with FLIGHT!!!
It was so adorable and showed right in the bat how friendly and crawling for love it is! If I recall well, it only showed more personality when Akiho went to Sakura’s home and once SNOOZE put her to sleep, FLIGHT was used and only by then showed its amusing nature. I remember to think all clear cards were hostile or neutral towards Sakura so it was nice to see one of them actually likes her! Not even many Clow Cards were that lively.
Also should I point how much I love its flying sound? It’s cute!
Of course Tomoyo’s mom, always a pleasure to see her.
So tomorrow the infamous butler is debuting. I’ll confess, I like the manga the best for it simplicity, art style and expressions but the anime has a charm of its own so honestly I think all fans should check out both and not just one of them.
For last, about that movie. I do remember it but movies usually aren’t canon right? I mean all of it doesn’t make any sense in the manga and the anime is sorta kicking it out too. Honestly I don’t see any issue about it about “potential plotholes”. I mean fans are not dumb, they know what’s official and what’s not.

I am not so sure about movie 2 not being canon. It used to be the official closure for the anime. Now with Clear Card, they need to adjust and adapt things over. Time will tell if movie 2 will remain as part of the anime timeline or just an alternative ending.

I believe we can just ignore movie_2 at this point. I guess the creators meant that when they threw back the teddy bear exchange and by the emotional Sakura x Syaoran reunion. It is still possible that they’ll fit it into the anime timeline somehow, but I reckon it’s highly unlikely.
In general, I think they’re doing a good job in the anime by expanding issues from the magazine-published chapters and mixing them with original animated stuff. I like how it’s turned out!
And,
Can Sakra and Syaoran be any slower?

Anime movie are usually written by someone from the animation studio, not the original author of a series. You can think of it as a big budget fan fiction. In Card Captor Sakura thought, Ohkawa was the screenwriter of both movie and the three seasons, so she could had made sure the movie and the new series were working together. We’ll see next episode if Clow’s mansion was rebuilt/amusement park was an illusion/other explanation or if the movie 2 never happened in the Clear Card universe.

What I heard from this ,is that the anime was suppose to start off after the manga ending. So it would make sense that Eriol’s house is still there. Also the fact that Sharon had the Sakura bear, because remember in the anime Sakura didn’t make a bear for Sharon, she just kept the one Sharon made for her. So I guess we’ll see how they explain it in the next episode.

OMG!!! syaorans moment of summoning his sword is AWESOME!
i like how kero is subtly pushing eriol for answers as well. like you say chibiyuuto, this is what he should be doing! yue seems to be keeping an eye on touya and i do think if sakura let him, yue would have this all figured out in like 3 chapters / episodes.
i really think kero and yue need to teach sakura some major history of magic so she’s not so naive next time. either that or sakura needs to spend her gap year in Hong Kong with syaoran and his family purely for learning everything syaoran was taught on magic since he could crawl.
sonomi!!!! she is literally a buzz of crazy energy and lovely-ness. love this character. i so wish CLAMP would include her more. i do wonder if she knows about the magic stuff though. nadeshiko had powers right? so im thinking that she knew about this and tagged along in the past kind of like how tomoyo does with sakura. i’d also like to know where nadeshiko got her powers from. i mean like are sakura, touya, and nashiko etc descendants from a magical family like the li family? but who knows if CLAMP will indulge us with this background info. im still holding out for syaorans year away in Hong Kong. 😀

Definitely what I’d call a “redemption” episode! XD
Yes, this Card’s capture in the manga was a total mess and we had to find out how she secured it through the tankobon, which came out only months later. I bet people who only read the scans online and didn’t buy the japanese tankobon were still wondering how the heck did she secure Flight, since we were only shown the Record’s capture. But now with the anime, they know! A very wise idea to separate the capture of those two cards.
Animation-wise, as you said, we’re back at a very good level! I could take tons of pretty screenshots and the animation in general flowed really well. I WAS AMAZED by the specific scene in which Sakura runs away (after throwing herself in front of Syaoran’s sword FOR THE LOVE OF GOD THAT PART FREAKED ME OUT, TRC FLASHBACKS) and gets into Tomoyo’s garden labyrinth. You can literally see the framing shaking each time Sakura’s feet hit the ground, as if there was really a camera on the ground filming her!!! I LOVE those little details, really really love them. Like I loved the animation of Sakura taking off her earphones, it had something that captivated me.
Good to see Gravitation put at work so soon, even if now that she’s got a mean to fly, she’ll probably use it less!
Loved Sonomi’s appearance! I did a post on tumblr and twitter, regarding the happiness Sakura felt when Sonomi told her she looks more and more like her mother. Is this going to be the first concrete hint that Nadeshiko will come up later in the story? A character bringing them up is usually a way to do so, see Meiling for example.
I laughed like a fool each time that heck of a drone passed on the screen X,D I remember Asaka boasting in interviews about Tomoyo’s photographic gear to be super technological, but I still managed to be surprised, I didn’t think about a drone at all XD Next what? A GoPro?
OOOH YES, Kero taking initiative!! He’s not only there to eat sweets, he can also be helpful!! I wonder why he’s not like this in the manga. Syaoran asking Kero if Suppy replied to him made me CRACK! That was so shady, boy!!! X,D
Lastly, the issue that is nagging me ever since the anime started. Ever since they showed those flashbacks -that didn’t exist-, in episode 1. Will The Sealed Card be written out of canon? The anime staff is currently telling us “yes” and “no” at the same time, with their behavior. Telling us “yes” with how they portray things in the anime and “no” with what they say in the interviews of the anime magazines.
I really hope we’ll get an answer by next episode, but I have the feeling we’ll have to loose our minds over this stupid issue until the very end.
Ja ne!

I did notice that both times that I was watching the episode, and I also liked it a lot! I was planning to write about it in my post but I ended up not doing it. It’s a tiny detail but it really enhances the viewing experience.
I didn’t think about a drone at all XD
Me neither, as obvious as that sounds. I wonder how much of that was Asaka’s imput, and then Ohkawa later added to the script. Perhaps not even CLAMP themselves had thought about it at the time they were doing the manga.

Me too. I smell retcon. It pisses me off that such details were not thought through.
