I didn’t understand why the version of clone that was brought back was the one without magic powers. Maybe there is a meaning behind this? This certainly puts Syaoran in advantage.
So the battle goes on and it will be until either one of them die — despite Syaoran’s desire to fight (I still can’t believe CLAMP are doing this to him, such twists minds!)
What just happened at the end, there? Was that Sakura and Hana’s doing? They are doing something, somewhere, and I think they shall play an important part in all this.
28 pages this month! 102 pages for volume 3 so far. Volume 3 will be released in the Japanese Spring and it looks like it will be the last one for the Nirai Kanai arc. Will Tsubasa be put into a rest after this? We shall see (I certainly hope so).

Gorgeous chapter, both for the art and the story: I believe this is one of the most emotional and intense fighting scene we’ve seen so far in the entire series, and the worst both Syaoran(s) has ever been, whether deadly hurt or crying desperately…

I both love and hate Clamp at times like these…hours after I was thinking that this new arc had nothing in it, they go and release a chapter I like… I am so weak…
*bang head on wall and curse myself for being manipulated so easily*
I don’t know in which direction this is going though: are we going to get 3 stellar chapters to make us miss the series like Hell and cry for more? Or do they just want to make an impacting ending, in order to leave us with a good memory of this arc?

hahaha~ It’s fine, I won’t hate you 😉 My opinion is biased because I like Syaoran character, I can’t help myself. But I’m still objective enough to realize this arc was definitely lacking as a whole.
There have been no new series since March 2011 (when the serialization of Gate7 started), it will soon be 5 years, and in spite of getting new Tsubasa, new Holic and Drug&Drop, I wouldn’t say no to something completely new if possible.

I didn’t get that last part at first, either, but from the end note that translated in Chinese, I think it was the power of Syaoran being the God berserk because he was crying from the voice not letting the battle end… or because the voice is taking initiative to punish Syaoran for the feeling of wanting to let the opponent (the clone) alive.

It could well be coming from Syaoran. I just guessed it would be Sakura and Hana because they are doing something somewhere I think that will play an important role.

wow this chapter was stunning! their expressions were so powerful. the art has defiantly improved. no more noodle people. and i’ve noticed the hands are better drawn too. wish this kind of impact had happened sooner!!
omg i know! i have the exact same hopeful theories about cardcaptors and tsubasa. the amount of art that’s been released with ccs , xxx and twc characters together makes me think they’re preparing us! now that would be decent development since sakura kinomoto gave her star wand to c!sakura for syaorans sake…
to be honest, when i started reading this hen arc, i found it hard to understand since it had almost nothing to do with tsubasa at all apart from the fact that they are travelling, talking with watanuki more, and are waiting for kuragane arm, and syaoran has a hidden god like power. but when i read gate 7, i understood the story way more. so i started to look at this arc from more of gate 7 pov instead of a tsubasa continuation. it develops gate 7 story more than tsubasa. the tsubasa crew are literally solving a problem thats happening in gate 7. this arc has a similar painfully slow pace with beautiful art to gate 7 too. i do think if they had continued this under gate 7 and had the tsubasa characters show up there it would be stronger. and then continue the tsubasa story from there. but… hey ho! i still enjoyed seeing the tsubasa characters. i love the tight knit family like dynamic between them now.
