This chapter actually came out a week later than originally announced in Young Magazine.

It seems like the plot is slowly moving…

12 pages for this chapter — 110 pages so far for volume 4. Next chapter will be out on December 7.

  1. “slowly” is an understatement…it really feels like we got nothing in this chapter, though I can understand this is inevitable: we have to consider the people who actually only read xxxholic and are not interested in TRC…Holic’s plot has to work ‘solo’ too.

    • At least it looks like the “real” Yuuko has made contact with Watanuki for the first time since she disappeared (I’m not sure, I don’t remember if it’s the first time…)

  2. has chapter 47 come out yet? or is it on a break again to tie in with the events of twc? it seemed like watanuki was as affected by the situation as the two syaorans are…looks like he’s in the dream world with yuko (yay for yuko!!). i wonder if he’ll cross over to where twc troupe are? lol yes, its definitely tied in with twc, both are very slow yet still likeable. and the manga is restricted since watanuki is stuck in one place. but i still love his character development.

  3. oh no! that doesn’t sound too good… although saying that, watanuki seems to be their favourite. he pops up everywhere. urgh! clamp do have a habit of doing this, along with the dreaded hiatus status. so many unfinished mangas that were left on a break. i was so excited when they completed trc. even if it became crazy weird in the final arc, it was still a completed story. xxxholic was time skipped leaving it open to fill the gaps along the way. and i hope they will. i really feel like going to japan, becoming their manager or whatever and making sure that they finish every single manga past and present before moving on with a new story! and somehow help them to get over their stop- start habit. they seem to get bored after 2- 3 years. its certainly possible to overcome! i had a similar habit in art uni and managed to counter it.
