      • *nods* I think, more than anything, the problem is the main characters for me. There’s nothing fresh about them. I feel like I’ve seen them all so many times before, nothing they do or say seems that interesting.
A couple of the supporting characters have promise, but so far there aren’t really any characters that I like that much and no pairings I ship.

        • I’m surprised that GATE 7 is doing so well. This story isn’t very good, and unfortunately neither is Drug and Drop.

A couple interesting things about volume three are that CLAMP added a few new pages to one of the chapters and combined three chapters into one, so now the monthly serial numbering doesn’t match the book numbering.

          • I think the story is slowing getting good. I think it has the potential of being really tragic 😉

Really? Man, I hate when they do that >.

            • Yeah, I hate when they combine stories, mostly because it means that some of the serialized pages are missing. So the exact changes in Book three are:

              1) From what I can tell from scanlations (since I can’t find the raws and I don’t buy SQ Jump), four new pages were added to chapter 8 (Yukimura’s Power). Some of the original serialized artwork was used but split among different pages.

              2) The color tobira-e (splashpage) for chapter 9 (Chikahito and Iemitsu) has been replaced with the tobira-e for chapter 12 (Kurikara).

              3) Chapters 11-13 are now one chapter under the title “Masamune and Garasha”. Originally they were “Masamune and Garasha,” “Kurikara,” and “Hana’s Promise.”

              4) The tobira-e for Chapter 13 (Hana’s Promise) is not printed in the book.

              5) Chapter 14 is now Chapter 12, but the title still remains the same.

CLAMP did do some touch-ups to certain pages, but that seems to be common ever since they started publishing.
