Copy pasta my loose summary from the clamp_now entry. Don’t hold me to it, my chinese is very rusty.

It’s starts off with the guy saying stuff about Kyoto and how he’s wanted to see it irl, he’s excited, etc. Then he sees three people in the tree (lol) and doesn’t understand why they’re in there. The darker haired guy says something like “oh a normal person is here, someone didn’t set up the protection (perimeter??) properly” and the other guy says he checked it, it’s not his fault.
Then Hana jumps into action and starts cutting those things down. Clueless dude starts to faint as he says “this isn’t the Kyoto I wanted to see”. When he wakes up, the darker haired of the duo calls him by his full name and he freaks out asking how they know it. They tell him that they went through all his belongings. He starts questioning what on earth happened with the swords and stuff. Hana tugs at him to eat quickly (or else the food will get soft?)
After finishing the meal, the darker haired of the duo stops the glasses guy and rattles off information about him (real name, school, class, living with his mother, 3 room apartment?, where he sits in class, best subj is history?, worst is english, not in any clubs, works in a coffee shop, no girlfriend) which is all correct haha. The two of them can’t discern the glasses guy to have any power. They then try to erase his memory but it doesn’t work, which surprises the duo. Then Hana grabs him and drags him outside and kisses him.

Did Hana sound weird in her speeches? Like… someone not very human? Like an animal maybe? XD

Yeah she definitely seems more supernatural than human. I’m hesitant to state anything 100% since everything’s kind of ambiguous at the moment but..
Whilst the glasses guy is awakening from his faint, he feels something on his chest and guesses it may be a cat or a dog then bursts out that he doesn’t want either and wakes up to see Hana on him. Then it seems like she jumps over him to the table when called and gets a pat on the head. The few sentences she does say are kind of stilted? Over simplified and not very natural. On the 2nd last page where he’s blushing and fainting, in the square box I think he says something about how Hana speaks like a child (and then something about only really understanding 3 months after??? or after 3 months? not sure)
Not sure if I would be so bold as to say she’s an animal haha but yeah it could be a possibility. Way back then, I thought Hana was supposed to have an animal to travel to another dimension or something? Maybe they scraped that and made Hana the ‘animal’, or the story has evolved into a whole other new direction, we’ll have to just wait and see I guess 🙂

We get the glasses guy’s name on pg 24. Takamoto(?) something kun haha I wouldn’t know how to translate that into romanji sorry 😛 I didn’t catch if the other two names were mentioned.
Oh I looked at it again and when the dark haired guy says “why is it noodles again”, the lighter haired guy replies “because Hana worked very hard today” and the darker haired guy then pats Hana on the head and says “then eat this noodles well”. They do kind of treat her like an animal… for example when Hana runs out with the glasses guy and they chase after her I got the impression they thought she might just run off willy-nilly and they were calling her to “stay” like a cat/dog. And Hana does reply “Hana is here” rather obediently..?
Pg 23 when glasses guy is looking at Hana he muses in the square box that Hana really seems like a cat then “wrong…. even more…” Not sure if he didn’t get to finish his thought or he really thinks Hana can be more than a cat haha.

Translation!!!
I tried translating the oneshot. It’s not good, grammatically. And I think I got the names of the people correct. The main character is Takamoto. The girl is Hana. The guy with long hair is Sakura and the black hair guy is Tachibana.

Ahhh I can’t help it! The characters all look so /cool/ and their designs’re so unique for CLAMP, and the artwork overall is beautiful and I love that Hana can fight and at the same time be this adorable tiny sleepy thing. I can’t help but love it DX ♥

It’s so pretty! I like the art style – it looks like it’s closest to Kobato’s art style, rather than Tsubasa or xxxHOLIC (I guess when CLAMP picks up X again, it’ll look more like Kobato, then?)

Now, about the one-shot… OH MY GOD I’M SO IN LOVE WITH THE ART!! it looks like a mix of X and Kobato. I have to wait for a translation but I’m so intrigued already! Hana seems lovely, and very cat-ish (can I say it like that?).

THANKS A LOOOT! I’m already in love with this manga! I like the style a lot, but I think it doesn’t look like Kobato style. It’s like Kobato without the cuteness atmosphere… more serious. And even though there is a lot of scenary, the first time I saw it, it gave me the impression of less detailled… Maybe I am crazy hahaha

INSTANT FAN!!! I think it’s so daring for them compared to xxxHolic and Tsubasa which I loved but they seemed safe compared to series like X, whereas this seems like a return to a more interesting CLAMP. I hope this series is long and not just 1 or 2 volumes, I would be so disappointed if it’s short because of the Mangettes releasing strategy.
