I couldn’t get anything at all of Yuuko’s explanation about the prices Syaoran once paid, “Freedom” and “Time”. I seriously need translation for that @_@
I just wish they could have shown a better image of Clow so that it would prove for once if he’s CCS!Syaoran or not >.<

So Fei Wang didn't like at all of what Xing Huo did (to send Syaoran to Yuuko), of course, we all predicted his reaction, and just I thought, he totally killed her off, striking his sword right at her chest ;_; and I was starting to like her… However, I might be wrong but I don't think she'll simply vanish from the series because of that. What she did will unfold so many events and change the course of everything. And I hope we'll learn more about her as well.
I just thought the way they drew the transition of pages was rather abrupt O.o One frame she's intact and the other she has an enormous sword already pierced at her chest.

So, the soul of real!Syaoran was, partially or entirely (I don't know) sealed inside Syaoran's left eye… and now since the seal is broken, the soul ought to get out of it. But apparently, Fye seems to have already figured it out all of this and is going try to fix it now, by making the soul remain at Syaoran's body (the Ying Yang thing).
(This is still all speculation basing on the pictures)

*in the meantime, the real!Syaoran is coming to this dimension*

Syaoran, however, got the little Ying Yang thing, which is representing the soul of the real!Syaoran, and threw it away o.o And Fye managed to got it before falling in the bottom of the reservatory. I so wonder what consequences this might have…his hand remained closed for the rest of the chapter.

Syaoran asks Fye if that's the only feather of this world, and for the first time in Tsubasa, I wish it isn't XD

Fye casting his magic, however, made Syaoran realize the source of his magic. His eye. I think it's the left one, not the right as usual. And Syaoran says he'll need the eye (the power) in order to gather all feathers back o.o"

Sakura's body finally joins with her soul again and she's ready to wake up. But is a little weird, wasn't her soul supposed to get back to her body, and not the other way around? XDDD
Either way, I'm curious to see how things will look like after she wakes up.

Finally, the very last page: The gore !

Syaoran is the new Ashura ! XD No, really, one can certainly relate this incident with Ryu-ou's death in RG Veda. But of course, Ryu-ou's death was WAY more tragical and horrible, and yet beautiful, than this particular scene (it was a DEATH, after all, not just an eye).

I'm not gonna lie to you all, I really don't understand all the shocked people since this is so completely normal in a CLAMP work, is what I, at least, have been expecting ever since well, always XD I was shocked, of course, but just a little.
Anybody who have read RG Veda, specially, until the end, knows that this is scene is completely "soft" compared to RG Veda's scenes.

Apart from that, I don't know about you lot, but that's one of the million reasons of why I love CLAMP: The Gore. So this chapter just made me feel so happy, to know that CLAMP "didn't lose the edge", quoting my friend Tomoe-san ^^

Tsubasa was supposed to be like that, they are travelling to all kind of places and dealing with all kind of people, not everything is shining and precious in life. Yuuko said it was going to be a dangerous adventure and CLAMP proved she was right.

If things are going to be like this from now on, awesome ! I seriously needed some gruesome after 3 years following Tsubasa weekly, and finally things are cacthing on fire, for me at least.

And even if it's with Fye that they are doing it, my very favorite Tsubasa character, it doesn't make it less cool. In fact, I think that's what makes the whole thing look cool ^_~

I find Syaoran swallowing the eye very amusing and very Spider Lady-like, of XXXHOLiC. We need this kind of stuff in mangas because it's completly fiction and it's never going to happen in real life, the whole symbolism behind it is incredible. However, if Syaoran swallowed it, I wonder if Fye will have to wear a patch or something O.o Spider Lady didn’t physically swallow Watanuki’s eye, but Syaoran did, I think…

Anyway, the conclusion is:

The gore-r, the better.

That’s my final statement.

So cute, the splash page ! The Rabbit reminded you of CLOVER, didn’t it? It sure did to me ^^ Weird thing is that the teddy bears have their shadows projected on the wall behind, but Kohane doesn’t O_o

I know I said it a billion times but, Neko Musume’s cat movements are really the cutest thing ever >.< I want one xDDDD In the 05 page you can see a tail ! XDDD And there's a CHAIN attached to it ! XD

She really should appear more often, she totally joins Maru and Moro and they are never too much ^____^

So Yuuko abuses of Watanuki by asking him to fill another 2 bottles of the same water from the same well, this time Doumeki will come along, of course. If he needs to be there, do I sense trouble? Probably…

I was expecting we would see the woman's face completly this time, too bad we didn't. What's wrong with her eyes, after all? O.o Doumeki seems to see her so she's not a spirit.

    • Hummmm… I also thought about Kurogane giving half of his eye to Fye, since we saw something similar in XXXHOLiC.
      But like I said, Fye physically lost his eye, I think, while Watanuki had only lost his vision, so I’m not sure if the same rule applies here. It would be something nice for the fangirls, though ^^

      My immediate thought was Ashura-ou as well. Fye casted a very powerful magic (he was trembling), and I wonder if Ashura-ou will be able to trace him down because of that.

        waaaaaa, it was not as I hadn’t expected it, but it was still shocking to see what happened. Of course, with CLAMP, this was bound to happen, but still ;____; My poor poor Fay~

        And I didn’t know you loved CLAMP for the gore~ ;P hahah, actually, if it hadn’t been Fay it wouldn’t have affected me at all.

  11. o_O I’m so confused… (hopefully less when the translation comes up). Poor Xing Huo… (never did get to know her well and now we know you really don’t want betray Fei Wong)

    Fai used his magic again (we know this isn’t going to be resolved that easily if he’s that serious O_o)!… And I seriously hope that what we saw at the end of the chapter wasn’t a fulfillment of Yuuko’s “and one of them will probably die” remark.

      • ~heh heh~ I just read your comments, and had to giggle. You’re right. I’s such a shock the first time you see it, but when it comes down to it, CLAMP is just being CLAMP after all. ^^ And I am still waiting for one of their previously ‘good’ characters to be ‘bad.’ After all, Tomoyo wasn’t ‘bad’ in the end, and I’m not so sure about Kamui now. I was like ‘Yes! We’re gonna see some evilness from a ‘good’ character!’ and then everything else happened. >_> **sigh** Still waiting, still waiting.

  19. then I practically died after reading it, no seriously, XD I even left tears out of my eyes but not like “OMG ;___;” nahhh, just one or two, it happens to me when I get really really shocked…and I am really really shocked………..two deads in one chapter?, clamp you rocks. well fai may really not be dead, but poor xin huo…

    OMG!!! It’s me or Fay tried to hide the Ying Yang’s symbol in his left eye but Syaoran practically pulled up it and ate it. Or Fay wanted to help Syaoran and he offered his eye O_o

    Waaaa I need the translation. I’m going crazy! O_o

    Aren’t CLAMP the best mangakas in the world! I think I can’t stop reading Tsubasa right now! but there isn’t Tsubasa next week, I’m going to die O_o

    • I think he tried to hide it, yes, but I don’t think he put it in his eye. Syaoran needed to eat Fye’s eye to get stronger (because that’s the source of Fye’s power).

      As for the Ying Yang, my own opinion is that that is real!Syaoran’s soul, the one who’s coming to the world, and Syaoran clearly threw it away, therefore, he doesn’t want it for him.

        “Never become fond with a character, because he/she can die in an unexpected way”

        -The gore-r, the better- I think in the same way, that’s why I said “Aren’t CLAMP the best mangakas in the world!”, I really like this kind of histories from CLAMP but I didn’t say it because many people will say that I’m a little crazy XD

        Finally, I can’t wait to see what is going to do real Syaoran (if he arrives on time) because CLAMP can make us suffer with chapters and chapters without his arrival XD or maybe another explanation or action to chance the subject O_o (I admit it, both are nice XD)

    Ok so if I understood well…

    1. While Fay and Kamui were watching him, Syaoran (or his eye) use his power to create a portal (Yuuko’s style) in the bottom of the “water tank” to drain the water away (to where? who knows!).

    2.By doing so, his part of CCS!Syaoran’s soul get exposed over his head.

    3. Talking about him, Fay said “Mou, hitori no Syaoran ga kuru”, so “That person’s Syaoran is already comming” o.0 Who’s Syaoran ? Sakura’s ? Feiwang Reed’s ? Yuuko’s ? I should put some real effort to learn japanese -_- .

    4. Fay try to stop/sceal Syaoran’s magic/CCS!Syaoran’s soul. Syaoran resist. They begin a will fight. Fay finaly succed to scale down syaoran power to the inner part of his taoist compass, the ying yang sign.

    5. Having no use for the powerless closed soul, Syaoran drop it on the ground. It “rolls” to Fay’s feet who picks it up.

    6. Syaoran is now soulless, and is the killing feather gathering machine Feiwang want him to be. Seeing how powerful Fay is, he decide to stop him before he can steal HIS feather. Fay’s eye being the source of his power, he just tear it off.

    7. At the same time, Sakura’s body disapears, probably to reappear were her soul is, so Kurogane and Mokona arrived just in time to see Soulless!Syaoran absorbing Fay’s eye, thus his powers, while the poor one-eyed magician is laying on the ground.

    Am I missing something, did anyone of you understood the chapter differently ? And when will the translation we be done T_T .

    By the way, let me introduce myself. I am Tomoe’s sister, I have been lurking in this live journal for ages, so it’s about time to say : “Thank you Chibiyuuto and lady Darkmoon for giving us every week our Tsubasa and xxxHolic chapters”.

    I understood it differently, as you can see… some points, the same.
    1)Yuuko’s crest appeared because the syaoran that was sealed was comming to that world;
    2)Fye was trying to avoid the part of syaoran’s soul (that was put in the fake syaoran’s eye) from disapearing. So the Syaoran attacking Fye later was soulless (as I think you’ve said), as it was intended to be according to Feiwan’s wish.
    I hope the original Syaoran will save the day! >.<
    And I too want to thank chibiyuuto and lady Darkmoon for making me happy once a week! Doumo Arigatou Gozaimashita!

Ok ummm umm aah WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED IN TSUBASA!Ok slow down first Syaoran gets ass kicked by Kamui,then Kamui vampire brother of Subaru gets his arm pulled ou by Syaoran but it’s ok he gets better in seconds,then we learn dark Syaoran is the original Syaoran and Syoran’s a clone,and they now share the body then Xing Huo gets impaled by Fey Wong Reed and then Fye gets floor wiped by Syaoran!Forgot to mention Sakura’s comma X world and Yuuko!BREATHER BREATHER!I’m having multiple strokes!Long but a summary was needed

But I also love the GORE in Clamp’s works, is the thing I loved the most from X, the bloody surprises 😀 But this time it got me ‘distracted’, I was not expecting this by any reason, never imagined TRC could be as ‘good’ as X, and is that what has hooked me, totally 😀 And Subaru still has to wake up 😛

      • because those people didn’t know they were reading a Clamp manga where nothing is what seems to be and you must always expect the unexpected XDDDDDD But even me got surprised, TRC initially looked more like a ‘normal’ manga and has turned to be a ‘real’ Clamp manga ^_________^
        I imagine that Chobits and CCS readers must be the most surprised ones….. and I am very pleased wih this 😉

  35. I read this chapter and couldn’t help but… grin… I’m sorry, I read RG Veda and X along with other non Clamp gories and this chapter fed to that completely. I loved it, bring it on Clamp, this is why I love you and why I’ve put up with this series cutsie scenes!

    Thinking girly was dead through the whole chapter, we just couldn’t see the sword in the first shot of her – kina glad she’s dead, shows Fei Wang is not gonna take any sh*t from any body and is a danger to our guys – not someone who just sits on his arse all day.

    Now move your arse Kuro and lets have a Shaoran-Kuro fight XD

  37. Yay! More CLAMP gore! I’m not as shocked as I was with Kamui’s arm ‘coz the eye poking is not new and more like a fetish already.XD Besides, I was kinda expecting it. Anyways, I think Xing Huo was dead throughout the whole chapter(her eyes looked dead to me). We just didn’t notice it ‘coz only her face was shown at first.
    About “Freedom” and “Time”, maybe it’s the notclone!Syaoran who paid for it. I mean he did stay in that tube(whatever it’s called) for several years without growing up. His time stopped and he had no freedom there.(It’s just my guess though)^-^

    Moving on, NekoMusume is soo cuuute!!!XD Luv her! Is it just me or is Watanuki getting cuter every chapter?XD I also loved the splash page. Kohane-chaaan!^-^ I wonder what’s wrong with that woman by the window. Blind? Third eye? Cyclops? Cross-eyed? heheXD

    What if clone!Shaolan became the big baddie of the story, Fye was turned a vampire to be saved, and if the new Tsubasa team was made of Real!Shaolan, Kurogane, Sakura and Ashura-Ô-coming-to-the-rescue-cause-he-can’t-want-something-so-bad-happening-to-Fye?

  44. Totaly with you on the violence thing…I mean in the last chapter of RG Veda Ashura totaly wiped out the bulk of the characters!

    And yet another eye bites the dust…somehow I had a feeling this would happen!

    Toataly need the translations though if only so that I can know what’s happening past the gore!

  45. Well I didn’t think Syaoran was gonna turn into some kind of Dark!Ashura u__u’… That’s why I was so damn shocked! O_O! But you’re right, I should’ve seen it coming XD. And I wasn’t this shocked when I read Ryou-ou’s death in RG Veda, because I thought that something like *that* was gonna happen since Ashura was already kinda crazy and… Damn I totally should’ve seen it coming in Tsubasa! XP it’s the same damn pattern!! I wonder what will happen now… O.o’ After months of barely having any answers and going slooooowly, suddenly they give us this!

    And a lot of people is so angry with Syaoran ;O;… Maybe this is all a plan of CLAMP to get the fans to hate him so they can give him a bad ending and no one will be mad at them xD lol… Ok, no XD. And Fai’s scared face is just… damn my not-so-inner yaoi fangirl was screaming in happiness at those Syaoran!Fuma-likeSeme and Fai!TotallyHelpless panels ^o^’.

    But you’re right, this chapter was really good :D, it brought new ‘magic’ to the series. And yeah, TEH gore here it’s nothing compared to what it was in RG Veda :P. But still… shouldn’t they evolve or something? I mean their mangas are amazing and I love them… But having the same resources and stories and characters being recycled all over and over again… *sigh* u_u’

    • I don’t see it as a “bad” thing, the fact that they use the same pattern. It’s a common thing an author using similar elements of past works.
      To me, even if they have the same pattern (a friend suddenly turns EVIL and kills/hurts his other friend), each series has it’s own reasons for that to happen.
      For example, in Ashura’s case, he was bound to wake up in his true and evil form because he’s the son of Ashura, the god of war, who had been cursed and you know the rest XD
      As for Syaoran, he was a copy designed to gather the feathers and destroy everything who gets in his way. He ate Fye’s eye because that would help him to reach his goal.
      So, you see, they both have the same essence, but every case has it’s own details and reasons and that’s what matters to me ^^
      Not to mention it facinates me, this duality of good and evil.

  47. This time, I DID read the translation of this chapter…
    Well!!! There’re still a lot of unanswered questions but things are evolving, right?

    1-Sakura body and soul are one again;
    2-Kurogane is finally back in the story;
    3-we know the origin of Fye’s magic at least (I always wondered about it since the chapter -don’t remember which- where Yuuko said that neither his staff nor the tatoo he had on his back were the source of his magic…-but God! the eyes…again!!!??-);
    4-and…ah!yes! seems like Yuuko has very high hopes in the “real” Syaoran since she said herself she was waiting for his awakening, I mean, would she have been waiting for him if he was bad news?…neh…? *sweating* *I’m not sure of anything anymore to be honest*
    5-Seems like the “real” Syaoran is *finally* coming to this world (we’ve been waiting for him for ages…)

    My very owns conclusions and guessings from what I read and saw in the last chapters :
    –> in the next chapters, the “real” Syaoran will obviously appears (since he “started” appearing in chapter120); Sakura will obviously wake up in a moment or another and do…something!! (or else what was the point to make her soul leaves her body, have her talking with Subaru, makes her body and soul back together blablabla…); and…mmhh…apart from that, nothing is “obvious” anymore ^^;;
    But that is a theory of mine : there’s a very little probability for the “real” Syaoran to be a bad guy from what I saw, so he will certainly do something about this *very* bloody situation and please note that, so far, Tsubasa was more or less …a “positive” story, so I don’t really think that Clamp will go around and kill main characters likes they did over and over again in X : in TRC, clamp will hurt them, give them bloody and painful past, turns them to clones, take their precious things and trade them for a wish,turn them blind and leave them half dead bathing in their own blood…but they wont kill them (:P)so… the “fake” Syaoran might disapear I think, and be replaced by the “real” one who will have his memories and feelings when he will take his half-soul (or half-heart?) back. So in the end, it will still be “Syaoran”; after all, a body doesn’t define a person in Tsubasa, but better their feelings and memories.

    Anyway! all this made me wonder about the very first pages of volume 1 of TRC : which Syaoran was it that was banging on the glass desesperately calling out for Sakura?…

    OF COURSE!!! XD That is actually what makes, at least myself, LOVE Clamp that much! And RGVeda was not a comercial series as it is TRC today, so this events are kinda important… imagine the people who joined Clamp fandom with Tsubasa… They are already buying all others Clamp mangas like nutts to see more and more!!! XD It is rather difficult to not get addicted to Clamp 😉

    And Xing Huo is soooo going to appear again, as a ghost or a memory or something! But she HAS TO!!! X3 …you would think I would be more calm than in the previous comment…you are wrong XD *still in shock*
    I do expect to see how Bee Train is going to manga this stuff…Poor guys! Can you imagine?! Their hair is gonna fell off trying to figure out how to include this events in the animation XDDD
    OK to many things on one single chapter…don´t you think? Oh, maybe Shaoran is going to drop the group? …Can´t wait!

    And as for Holic: Neko Musume is now my absolute favourite character now!!! I just can´t stop loving her X3 I desperately need a pvc figure of her with Maru to Moro!!! XDDD seriously people! Holic anime figures!! C´mon!!! XD

Now, lol, it’s just now when I remind those people (somes that I once read on deviantart) saying that Kurogane was the only cool character cuz he was rude and that tsubasa story was pretty much happy for their liking…now I ask those people “OMG, Who is the rude character!??? and which is the *so* happy story!?”…suddenly tsubasa turned more bloodish X3 but that indeed is something I like, *love*, and something that makes it be really clampish XDDDDDDDDDDDD, @_@ dumby people.     Real!Syaoran’s gate is the SLOWEST ever. I mean, Yuuko’s circle was there for half chapter, and he didn’t appear XD

    And poor Tokyo people, Sakura’s feather is no more to protect them from the acid rain, and now all their water is gone.

  54. Well… My friend did say that if she were the one writing Tsubasa she would make Fay die in the end to add drama. I’m not so sure if he’s really dead, though, like I’m not sure that Xing Huo will disappear. She’ll at least appear as a spirit or something, I’m sure of it. I hope we get some Kurogane-action in next chapter. I really hope he’s not just going to stand there shocked or something.

    They’re SO going to f*** this up in the anime -_-

    Tsubasa :
    I read the Tsubasa chap 120 translation. OMG! OMFG!! WTH CLAMP doing? I knew it gonna be tragic from the start, but I didn’t expect the first one would be Fye. My MOST BELOVED character TT__TT CLAMP!!! Why you hix hix!! Although I love blood so much, I can’t help to shock for this chapter. Never thought the one who will hurt Fye is Syaoran (the worst!!!) I can’t get what’s CLAMP thinking? CLAMP had our beloved characters killed our another beloved characters mercilessly. More than that, Fye’s eye, his beautiful blue eye, what did you do with it??
    Mourning is not enough but I can’t anymore…
    In short, there are total three Syaoran :
    1. Syaoran – Clow Reed’s descendant(may be CCS!Syaoran!?)
    2. Syaoran from the start-Fujimoto’s adopted son
    3. Syaoran’s Fei Wang (definitely bad!!)
    So I get the story about him like that :
    Fei Wang got Syaoran1 and made Syaoran3 but Syaoran1 sealed Syaoran3 by putting his left eye into Syaoran3’s right eye. On the other hand, Syaoran2 was born and Syaoran3 was sealed into the right eye. Then Syaoran1 was imprisoned in the tube and Syaoran2 was sent to Clow Country. At first, Fei Wang sent him gather the feathers but Yuuko interfered (we still didn’t know WTH Yuuko did)
    In latest chapters :
    Syaoran1 woke up and he was sent to Yuuko then went ‘to the person who this right eye came from'(Syaoran2)At the same time the seal in Syaoran2’s right eye was broken. It means Syaoran3 returned and the soul (heart) of Syaoran2 became the yin-yang (now it’s in Fye’s hand).
    That’s my head’s work after that shock.
    Questions for next chapter :
    – Fye’s eye ‘ll blind??? (No TToTT I REALLY don’t want that)
    – Fye’ll die??? (No TToTT we haven’t known his past and his relationship with Ashura-ou yet)
    – Syaoran2 will disapear?? (his soul became a yin-yang and Syaoran1 are going to retrieve it – since it’s was his magic)
    – Where is Syaoran1?? We saw Yuuko’s magic circle but haven’t seen Syaoran1 yet. What will he do after the gore Syaoran3 made? He needs to retrieve his eyes first, right?
    – What will Kurogane do after seeing that his son kills his wife??
    – What will Sakura do when she wake up?
    – What will Kamui do? For a moment, I become to hate Kamui since he didn’t do anything to save Fye. (for god’s sake, why did I hope Kamui will save Fye TT__TT?) If he didn’t move after the gore like that, he’s really a cold-blooded vampire. And I hate that. At least Kamui in X is a human-being
    – And the last where’s Subaru???

      I kinda agree with you in your 3 Syaoran theories…

      To me, there’s the real!Syaoran (IMO, CCS!Syaoran), the TRC!Syaoran (real!Syaoran’s soul partially or entirely on his right eye) and the copy!Syaoran, which is this killing machine.

      The only question is, did the real!Syaoran feel anything that TRC!Syaoran also felt? Did he presence it all? Since it was his soul in the right eye all the time O.o

  56. This as been a very important chapter for Tsubasa! (there are a lot of comments on LJ and forums XD)
    sigh.. I fell sorry for Fay losing a eye.. poor him..
    How many other character will lose an eye in your works, clamp? (I think a lot.. >>)
    I feel sorry for Xing Hou, too.. I pretty liked her.. damn Fei Wang >.<
    About the thing of the "failed creation" I think that she was a clone made by Fei Wang (we all know his mean hobby..)
    Maybe the clone of Sakura. I know that they're completely different and there is the question "by which Sakura have Fei Wang cloned her?" XD but.. this would be a explication of the cover of chapter 107 (that with Sakura and Xing Hou back to back).
    I hope CLAMP start to explain this confused thing XD

    For holic: I liiiike really much Neko Musume! She's so cat-like XDD (and I love cats)

    É, pra isso é bem mágico, levando em conta que eu sigo seu LJ pra poder ler Tsubasa *o*
    hem hem… enfim, voltando ao fio da meada…
    O Fye é meu personagem favorito, acho que eu nunca gostei tanto de personagens da CLAMP como eu gosto do Fye e da Yuuko. Logo que eu vi o capítulo eu fiquei meio chocada (não li RG Veda T____T), fiquei mesmo deprimida, mas o Fye não morrendo tá ótimo. Poxa, meu choque todo foi porque eu quero saber qualé a do Ashura, saber o passado dele e tra lá lá, e não teria a menor graça ficar sem o Fye agora. Ele é o toque de humor de Tsubasa, poxa ._. (mas imagino que ainda teremos todo o drama CLAMP like ainda).

    E geennnnte *-* adorei a transição de cena da Xing Huo, e a expressão facial do Kurogane… e enfim…o capítulo tá ótimo. *-* ainda tô deprimida.. mas o Fye vai continuar sendo meu caolho favorito *-*

Aside from the shock factor (it’s not every chapter you get a murder AND a maiming…even in Clamp…well, okay, maybe not X so much…but still), right, aside from that, my first thought was that I think this may spell the end of the anime. If BeeTrain wasn’t comfortable with drunkenness I doubt they’re going to want to stick around for maimings and gore.

    Am I crazy in hoping that, since fake Syaoran isn’t human, Fai’s eye is still recoverable? Fake Syaoran is just too freaky…it was cute how Fai tried to keep him human, and not like the Terminator the way he is now that he doesn’t have real Syaoran’s heart, but it’s kind of ironic that when Fai finally showed he cared he got his eye put out. Hopefully real Syaoran will be able to fix everything…and hopefully when he gets his heart back, the clone’s memories will be in there too. And hopefully Kurogane and Sakura won’t die of heart attacks.

  60. mmhh…I couldn’t help but keep on wondering about the “real” Syaoran’s identity and, in the process of thinking, I actually surprised myself turning over the question : we mostly think “he can’t be CCS|Syaoran because…”, but I actually thought :”if he is not CCS|Syaoran, then who is he?”. I mean : there’re already 2 Clow Reeds : one is a magician in CCS and the other is Sakura’s father in TRC. The “real” Syaoran is definitely not related with the TRC one, so if we discard the “real” Syaoran as being the Clow’s CCS one too, there’s nothing left, or that would mean there would be a Clow Reed nº3…?
    What do you guys think about it?

    • I think there’s only one Clow Reed, since you don’t really see TRC!Sakura’s father and so it is possible that it is the same Clow Reed. (everyone are descendants of Clow anyways -_=)
      After all he is The most powerful magician before CCS!Sakura got all the power (but that’s besides the point). Since he is the most powerful (sorta like Yuuko?) then there shouldn’t be any copies of him in other worlds. Syaoran/Sakura /Tomoyo/Sorata/Ryu-ou and all the people we’ve seen duplicates of all aren’t powerful magicians like Clow Reed (Sakura doesn’t count *heh*).

      The “real” Syaoran probably is a different Syaoran and he has similar powers to CCS!Syaoran because they’re still Syaoran but on different worlds.

      And I think I just successfully confused myself with all the Syaorans and Sakuras and Clows @_@ … hopefully you got what I was trying to say?

      • I always thought there were 2 different Clows… CCS!Clow (the one Fei Wang is related and the one Yuuko created the Mokonas with), and the Clow of Clow Country.

        In volume 2, Yuuko was explaining to Watanuki that the Sakura and Syaoran who were in her yard (TRC!Syaoran and TRC!Sakura) were NOT from the same blood-line of Clow, but yet they had the same “soul”, only living in a different world. And she was meaning the CCS!Clow because Maru was holding Sakura’s staff.
        So, I think there’re 2 Clows… because TRC!Sakura is NOT directly related to CCS!Clow (Since Yuuko said it), and since she’s the daughter of the Clow of Clow Country.

    The development of things in the last 3 chapters has just been WOW!…..Poor Fye! Soulless clone Syaoran is one mean mofo… but I don’t think Fye is dead. Sakura’s soul and body has recombined and am sure Fye is still holding that ying yang thing with Syaoran soul so there’s bound to be some redemption on his part! They won’t take the Syaoran we’ve come to love away from us!!

    Ahhhh~! What a cliffhanger!! I don’t believe am gonna have to wait 2 whole weeks to find out what happens next! What will I….We… DOOOOO!!!! >.

    I’m also a long-time lurker, but I already went here to comment (remember, it was for the first picture of Kamui !!), and I think I once more can not remain silent, or my little sister will hace to stand still while I explain as peacefully as possible why all that is happening here is completely hallucinating !

    Then… Ok, CCS was cool, funny, a little tragic… Ok, Chobits had a bit of mistery… Ok, Angelic layer was cute…

    Oh my God, these are the best pages Clamp ever drawn for the past few years !

    Long-time awaited Fye-using-magic ! Is Ashura-ô going to wake up and come after him ?

    This situation is so tragic, like you said it feels (almost) like the end of RG-Veda (ok, the one who got stabbed is this time not a main character, but yet, so much surprising ! Although my biggest surprise was when the identity of the fourth general was revealed… ) !

      Yuuko sent CCS!Syaoran a few weeks ago to the Tokyo-koku, so he’s coming. Will he be in time to save the day ? Stay tuned… (Oh and I would translate “tourbillon” by “Whirlpool” and my French-English dictionnairy agrees ^_^ ) .

      And I must admit that the identity of the fourth general was a big surprise to me too and uttermost the decision taken by that person. I mean Ryuu-Oh had a bad day, but nothing compare to poor Soma -_- .

        You knew who was the 4th general ?? Too bad ! Were you spoiled, or did you find it by yourself ? IMO, this revelation was one of the most dramatic in all Clamp’s works. Who knows, maybe TRC will bring some more astonishing news !

        I’ve come to an idea : could Xin Huo be the clone of Yuuko and Clow’s daughter ? The age could fit, and the magic circle too… I don’t agree with the sakura-clone, since Syaoran’s clone looks like Syaoran. Ohkawa, what’s in your head ??

    If they have to draw gore, they draw so. And if they have to kill people or make people lose eyes (I have a theory: CLAMP have secret deals, and the Japanese oftalmologist pay them each month for promoting their work ^^U), they do so.

    Newcomers in CLAMP fandom, as Chibi-Yuuto says, don’t be scared or surprised, this was SO light xD

    I read most of the comments to your entry here. If I’m following you all correctly, does this mean that CCS!Syaoran was kidnapped shortly after the end of CCS (based upon age by appearance) and has spent years inside the test tube thing? Poor CCS!Sakura!

    *angsts* I really loved CCS and its “together forever” ending.

    • well…I’m one of the people who thinks that the identity of the “real” Syaoran is in fact CCS|Syaoran. But in the end, it’s just us, fans, guessing : we don’t know for sure if it’s really the case, we have to wait for Clamp to give us more hints ^^;; But if it happened to be just yet another Syaoran from another dimension, I think I will be a little disapointed…furthermore, now that he woke up, what stop him form going back to his Sakura? No matter if in the end it’s CCS|Syaoran or not, I think the “together forever” ending is always possible ^_^
