XXXHOLiC & Tsubasa Anime News

The news just keep coming !


Tsubasa:
Upcoming Episodes:

7 – Ashura’s Legend
Sharano country, it’ll end before they travel to Shurano.

8 – Endless War
Shurano country

9 – Two Memories
Shurano country.

10 – Feelings that Cross Time
Back to Sharano.

11 – おえかきモコナ (?)
Original Episode. Seems like they land in some sort of “picture book”, in which is drawn by Emeraud Princess. Apparently, the “pen” used to draw the pictures is Sakura’s feather.

I think they can handle Sharano and Shurano in 4 episodes (it could well be 5, though), but I’m not liking all these original episodes… they are 4 so far and we’re not even in the middle of the season.

Tsubasa anime radio show, Puri Sute, will be back starting on June 23rd. The new season is now called “Puri Sute Return” and has the 5 main actors leading the show. I just hope that CLAMP will make another appearance like in the previous season.

XXXHOLiC:
Upcoming episodes:

11 – Confession (コクハク)
Zashiki Warashi arc (Yay!), as some of you probably have seen it by the preview of this week’s episode.

12 – Summer Shadow (ナツカゲ)
Original episode. It’s probably the one we see at the OP with the moving shadows.
VERY brief summary: Everybody goes to the beach, Watanuki hears some scratching sound from his room.
This episode will be written by Ageha Ohkawa *swoons*

13 – Transfiguration (ヘンボウ)
This seems to be another original episode.
VERY brief summary: Something around a girl from Watanuki’s class who seems to be very nice gentle. However, not all the time… (I’m not 100% sure about it)

14 – Seal (フウイン)
Twin sisters arc.

You can check an image of how the Box to hold DVDs 1~4 will look like at here. It’s still very tiny but I’m feeling it must be very pretty.

PS: Just notice that I used the online translators to get episode titles, summaries, etc. So, it might not be exactly like I said, even though I’m quite sure it is.

    And I just hope Tsubasa and xxxHOLiC original episodes will be good XD

  2. The DVD box looks sexy in all its tiny-ness. Heh, I can spot Mokona :3

    I’m glad Ohkawa will write one of the fillers, and the beach one! The other one sounds odd to me, but I’ll try not to judge. I hope “nice” classmate’s case is not as lame as the cheating-on-boyfriends girl one.

    The TC fillers, though… man, now they’re Sue-ing screwing Emerauld up, too? Ugh ugh ugh.

      WORD WORD WORD ! I’m so happy she’s gonna take care of one of the originals because it’ll feel just like another manga arc.

      I -think- the girl will be somehow similar to Himawari. VERY nice like TOO MUCH nice, and when you turn your back, she’s stabbing you from behind XDDD Maybe the staff is trying to show some similarities between the two girls.

      1 – Show X’s world in THIS season or
      2 – Show a LOT of original episodes.

    • I thought about it as well… but the summary I’ve seen doesn’t look like it. Wasn’t the winged girl ALWAYS in a bad mood? The girl of this episode is apparently as nice as Himawari. Unless I’m completely wrong.

      But you know why I DON’T think it’s the Winged girl? Because right after that arc, comes the arc where Watanuki goes inside the Jug, with Kuda Kitsune. So, it would be more likely that these two arcs would come together in the anime as well, one after another. But here we see that episode 14 is with the Twin Girls. You see my point?

      • Wasn’t the winged girl ALWAYS in a bad mood?

        But the point of the wings were to take away a person’s restraint. Himawari said that the girl was usually so nice (although that happened off screen) so it wouldn’t be a stretch to simply show that she was nice and then follow the shift in personality as the wings took over her soul.

        As for the Jug being after the wing arc – tell me, when has Holic anime followed manga timeline?

    I haven’t been watching xxxHOLiC (I refuse to watch it in 4:3) so eh, but I might just have to watch episode 12 since it’s original and Ohkawa wrote it.

      By the way things are going, they’ll either:

      2 – Show a LOT of original episodes.

  6. Yummy-Yuuuuuuuuto-san!!!!!

    I´m looking forward to Zashiki Warashi´s episode!! And I´m also very interested on the one written by Ohkawa-sensei. The last episode that was original was not written by her and the script writers took their time to mess up with the characters´ personalities (I´ll give more details when you post the review for episode 9). I hope Ohkawa-sensei writes all the upcoming original episodes too.

  8. UGH NO MORE TSUBASA FILLERS D: They all end up sucking SO MUCH. And Shara/Shura in 4 episodes? I smell destruction on the Piffle level. I guess we can only hope it isn’t complete crap…

    But I am so excited for the Ageha Ohkawa written original episode :’)

    • No more fillers, yes… FOR NOW XDDD

      I personally think they can handle Sha/Shurano in 4 episodes. The arc takes around 2 volumes of the manga… and each volume corresponds, USUALLY, to 2 anime episodes… so 4 episodes is a fair number for me. The drunk scenes are BOUND to be cut because of NHK, unfortunately.

  11. Fillers, huh. I don’t mind to much (I mean… they *have* to fill 26 episodes after all XD), but they COULD try to make the manga based ones last longer…

    Zashiki Warashi *-* I’m really looking forward for this one! *is a rabid WatanukixZashiki fanboy*
    Looking forward for the original episode written by Ohkawa too!

      My thoughts exactly… Piffle last lame 3 episodes… when it should be 4, and it could well be 5, if you stretch a little.
      I know every anime has their original episodes, but I think I prefer the ones -inside- the manga arc than the ones with a completely original World and everything.

  14. Yay! Ashura!!XD Boo for the fillers!=( They should have just cancelled the fillers and made the Shurano arc longer. I hope it won’t appear rushed.-_-

    Moving on to Holic, I’m really excited for the original episode written by Ohkawa.^-^ Maybe Transfiguration is about the girl with the wings and they just decided to make some minor changes? If it’s a filler, then I hope it won’t give any plotholes and stuff. At least Holic’s fillers are better than Tsubasa’s.=D

    • About the winged girl, I’m gonna re-post here the same confusing thought I commented to Rubyd-san:

  15. hi there chibi yuuto-sama! I see you have been posting many news lately!! x3 woah! XD much work for you xP, o_o woah…well all news have been exciting…but I really don’t know what to think about the tsubasa anime news XD, well I do not really mind the fillers, I can deal with them, but why they don’t use then that world that even was like a filler XD but not a filler in the manga that could be used in the anime (since it was in the manga, god ;__;)…the world with the bunny-like things XDDDDDDD that had the feather, oh god, I wuv ’em, and I luved that world. Even if I don’t mind filles I *so* do prefer seeing bunny-like things instead of fillers T-T…and yeah they could make longer the worlds…like piffle should have been longer, I mean Outo was like really well adapted, I even thought it was too long XDDDDD in the anime but oh well….T-T I hope they don’t mess up the things with Sharano/Shurano cuz it’s an *awsome* world…and that the animation don’t be good in an episode giving me high hopes and end up like crap in the next one XDDDDD *prays for that to not happen*. But, woah, xxxholic is way great news, specially ohkawa writing the filler episode! *___* wahhh I *so* have to watch it XDDD lol.       I also missed the Country of Idols (that’s how it’s called ^^) I don’t know why they havent put it either o.o Maybe they’ll do it later…

    About the winged girl: (I read this chap earlier today O.o) Himawari mentions that she was quite surprised at the girls behaviour (tearing up a book and storming off) because she’d always been a rather quiet girl.
    KudaKitsune turned big protecting Watanuki from the wings so they had to go in the jug to turn him back.
    So I wouldnt be surpirsed if it was that arc but you never know what the producers are thinking.

  18. I haven’t commented in awhile…@.@ Sorry! Had no internet access.. >_>; ANYWAY, we finally get to see the Shurano and Sharano arc! I hope they don’t make the animation as bad as they did in episode 33 (season 2, ep 7) raw. That was weird.

    Whoo! XXXholic!! *squee* Puri Sute?! Finally! News on that. I’ve been bugging people on what happened to it since I’ve been gone for like 4 months and when I return its no longer up. o_O;

  20. Oh my, I always watch/read you but never comment XD I’ll change that now.
    I agree with you about the original episodes in TRC, sometimes is good to help the studio but I dunno, I’m scared with this:

    1 – Show X’s world in THIS season or
    2 – Show a LOT of original episodes.

    Exactly, EXACTLY!! Isn’t new that X’s world make more… mmm.. interesting the story now, maybe they needed for ratings? That’s worse :/

    I’ll keep an eye for the original episodes on xxxHolic, hehehe!

  21. The thing about the original episodes on TC won´t be that bad if Clamp prepared something for the animation team, but that is so alike I guess…U.U
    X´s world in this season…well forgive me here but…I will probably go insane if i see Bee train “touching” “my” Ekkusu!……XDDDD Just kidding! but it is kinda scaring right? RIGHT?! xD
