April has come and here are this month’s news.

– Next chapters scheduled (red means new):

04/12 – Shonen Magazine #19 – Chapter 112.
04/19 – Shonen Magazine #20 – Chapter 113 – Tsubasa will feature the front cover.
04/26 – Shonen Magazine #21 & 22 – Chapter 114.
Yay for the cover, it was about time !
– The covers of vol 14 have been announced:
Since we had Syaoran and Kurogane on the previous one, now we have Syaoran and Fye. Nice cover. Fye using gun is always a pleasure to see, and I loved the texture of their clothes too. Do I spot some bats in the background?
Now, RYU-OU on the cover of the deluxe edition was so unexpected ! Maybe it’s because we had Souma on the previous one.
– The cover of that BEST SELECTION book is here.
– New anime season, not-so-new staff.
The director, Koichi Mashimo, will remain in this charge, but will be sharing it with Hiroshi Morioka (two directors, yeah). He’s not that new, he was already the director’s assistant and he did the storyboard for episodes 1, 10 and 12 and directed numbers 1, 6 and 12. Episode 12 is totally his episode then, it was the one of the country with the big lake.
The other staff members are the same from season 1.
A BUNCH of animate goods is going to be on sale soon, it’s all old pics, but they’re all neat and text-less. So I highly hope we can see those scanned soon.

I was practially foaming at the mouth with excitement when I stumbled across your journal and saw you host a site with Tsubasa & xxxHOLiC raws and that there are translations available and spent the entire day afterwards catching up, because I didn’t have to wait for scanlations (which I truly appreciate but they take a while to get them up!). I very nearly cried because all the X characters were there (except Subaru, but KAMUI! FUUMA! Everyone!) So yeah. That was me being a little overzealous in my joy :> So a billion thanks again.
Hm. Well, as long as they stay true to the spirit of the story, I’ll be extremely happy either way (and has a great soundtrack!)

Happy birthday to Clamp! I don’t know if this counts, but today is also Seishirou’s “birthday”. Well, not really. In TB, he uses Apr 1st as his birthday in a fortune compatibility test with Subaru… of course, later Seishirou reveals it isn’t his real birthday and repriminds an unconscious Subaru for being smart enough to not use the his real place of birth, yet naive enough to use his real birthday…
I guess Subaru didn’t listen to Yuuko back in the day.
Speaking of Yuuko, that xxxHOLIC preview is awesome. Watanuki makes me laugh every time.

For me, new director for Tsubasa Crapnicle = double the mess. Nice to know you, Tsubasa. It’s been great seeing shirtless!King Touya fanservice; the rest, no so much.
Anime looks quite nice, although Yuuko still doesn’t look pretty, the recycling of kimono disturbs me, and I’m getting the feeling black Mokona will permanently be OOC. The opening sounds good, although I wanted something with a bit more beat. It’s a tad slow for an opening.

Details like this preview, still of making me happy like the rest of my fandom, is turning me against Production I.G by playing with canon chronology too damn much.

Totally agree on Yuuko, she’s still not -there-. As for the recycling Kimono, it’s right to re-use it since it was in the manga. The movie is the problem, we should have had a different one for the movie.

Yeah, though I’m reading RG Veda at the moment (1 volume to go) and the Tsubasa AshuraxYahah-ou arc is starting to disturb me… seriously they were like father and son. ;_; I miss young Ashura. I Also just realised that Fai’s Ashura is the fater and Yasha’s is the son O.o I never though about that :D.
Quite random of them to bring back the characters and put them on the tsubasa covers. After this its the X people O.o.
Kendappa makes for a prettier, CLAMPier cover than Ashura-ou.

Yeah, I never liked Ashura/Yasha (any of them) for the same reason. It is creepy. Not the creepiest pairing of the lot -I don’t know if you’ve seen the Ashura-oh backstory yet, or if it comes in the last volume, but that’s even creepier than Yasha-oh’s pedophilia).
I’m afraid you’re not going to dig the ending. I had some serious headwalls when I first read it. You’ll see.

Well, the RGV ending could be interpreted in a platonic way, but after CLAMP made them a canon couple in TRC… *cringes*
Without spoiling the ending to any who read Yuuto-kun’s journal… I’m a Kujaku fangirl, so it made the ending worse for me ;______; You. Idiot. Kujaku!

In the Spanish translations, they had Ashura as a guy. Which is odd, considering the same editorial did RG Veda, and they had Ashura as a GIRL there. Oh well.

Any of the ones with the little semi-holes in the upper right hand corner are clear files (basically two large sheets of plastic that fit together, but they’re like a file folder – you can fit a few sheets of paper inside.) I have 2 for TRC and 1 for xxxHolic, very high quality. I’ll definitely have to snag some of these.
