One more thing, the splash page from chapter 6 wasn’t scanned. Instead, the person who scanned the chapter (drawcomic’s friend) got a wallpaper made with the same splash page from Clamp Kingdom website. As I’m aware that the webmistress does not wish to distribute her materials in any other website without her knowledge, I removed it from the zip file. So if you want to see it, go to the site’s wallpaper section.
I still have to read the translations (if someone does them) but I loved them !
The cigarette seems to have bugged Kobato-chan so the cool guy put it away… and ow, he walked away too o.o
The chapters were all precious because of all the cute kids helping out at the bazaar, Kobato’s effort to make it happen (she went to the streets to gather people ^0^).
All the Fujimoto+Kobato interaction was niiiice. He surely changed his mind towards her after seeing how much of herself she was putting into the bazaar, which in the end turned out to be very successful.
My favorite part, of course, has got to be Chitose and her daughters’s appearance *———* Isn’t she the coolest mother of all ? >..< I hope someone can translate these chapters for us too.
I think this is the perfect moment to talk about Kobato's whereabouts. This is something I discovered some days ago and I think you all who read Kobato might be interested to know why the series is on hiatus.
Before I start, I should tell you to not worry, everything is fine, it's not like X, CLOVER or GD, Kobato will return still this year. Now let me explain why I think that:
You can see on the last page of chapter 7 that the "Part 1" has ended. Since this is the chinese scans, there's nothing more written on the page. I haven't seen the original japanese pages from Sunday GX, but I know people said there was a CLAMP comment telling us to wait. But how long? The answer is 12 months.
How do I know that? It happens that I’ve searched on a japanese Kobato fansite in which the owner of the site always posts summaries and personal comments for the chapters. On the 7th one, she mentioned that the series was heading to a 12-months break, since it’s a “serialization in series”. A what? XD I’ll explain.
On Sunday GX’s site there’s a page dedicated to all the mangakas that have or once had series published on the magazine. On CLAMP’s page, there’s a list of their Sunday GX works: a short comic published on 2004 and Kobato, of course.
This is what is written on Kobato’s status:
2005年1月号～シリーズ連載『こばと（仮）』
It says when it started (January/2005 edition) and the current status (under serialization).
But if you check the other mangakas, it’ll show a different status. Let’s take for example the manga of “REC”:
2002年12月号～連載中『REC』
Did you notice the difference? While Kobato’s status is said to be “シリーズ連載”, REC’s one is under “連載中”.
連載中 means “under serialization”, or something close to that meaning, while シリーズ連載 can be read by “series in serialization”. This is how you can read at first glance, but you can also read as “serialization IN series”, like the serialization is taken in parts/seasons, “in series”
This is what’s happening to Kobato, basically. You can see on many of the splash pages, it’s always written “シリーズ連載” someplace. That said, this was all planned beforehand by CLAMP and Sunday GX, and maybe that’s one of the meanings of the “Temporary” on the title.
The 1-year break I know all because the girl from the site said so. She said it so. It’s probably written on the last page of the original japanese scans, but since we don’t have them we can’t see it ourselves. But I trust this girl… I think everything suits so I’ll believe in that theory.
That being said, the last chapter of Kobato was published in August, 2005. This means that a new chapter will not be published before August of 2006.
As for the tank, I don’t know why it hasn’t been released yet. Maybe they’ll do it when the serialization returns.
At least we have a date for the continuation ! I hope you all could understand my crazy explanations @_@ any doubts ask me away !

I’m going to point out a grammar mistake real quick: above when the debt guy’s cigarette bothered Kobato, he put it away, not putted it away. Sorry.
But I believe you have explained well what it is that’s happening with Kobato. Then again, it might just be that we discussed this too and I read that page as well.
Either way, I’m really hoping that you’re right with the assessment. I miss Kobato so much. I want her to come back! I guess we’ll find out soon enough.

It sounds like the mini-series/limited series style that a lot of American comics opt for these days. To be honest, I wouldn’t complain if that was the case (except during the long periods of drought in between series 😉 as long as I knew that there would be more later :3
And I think I’m falling in love with Fujimoto ^.^ Especially during that scene on the stairs! And of course, during the bazarre the look on his face when she shouts at him so he let’s go of her hand is priceless!

A whole year does seem too much, but hopefully it wont be a full 12 months between each ‘series’. Do you know if it was published in early or late August? My birthday is around then, and I’m wondering if it’ll be out in time for that ^.^

aew yuuto-san!! eu tenho uma teoria sobre kobato o/ na tradução do cap. 1 pelo Manka, esta dizendo, na pag. dupla colorida se nao me engando “mais uma serie de primavera”… entao, provavelmente, kobato eh uma serie q soh vai sair na primavera XD

^_^ Kobato is so sweet… I’m glad Kiyokazu’s opinion is changing. Sayaka and Chitose moments were gold… the funniest bit I can read has Chitose remarking that “Kobato is a truly good child…” and then when Kiyokazu mutters something (I can’t read it… my Chinese is too crummy), she says to Sayaka, “Kiyokazu is also a very good child…”
Does that old lady look like a taller version of Yuuko’s fortune teller from xxxHOLIC volume 2?

Quanto tempo nao posto por aqui!^ ^ Bem, Kobato nao era uma serie planejada pelo CLAMP, e agora com a Ohkawa Ageha participando do staff de xxxholic anime, acho que mesmo que tenha sido anunciado a volta da serie em 1 ano, pode ser que elas cancelem… afinal, eram 3 estorias sendo lancadas ao mesmo tempo: tsubasa reservoir chronicle semanalmente; xxxholic e kobato mensalmente. Nao sei ate quando vao durar as series de anime de xxxholic e tsubasa, mas eh muito dificil kobato voltar. Mas como fa do CLAMP estou torcendo pra que seja verdade, nao vejo a hora de ver o volume 1 de kobato nas livrarias!! ^___^~
