CLAMP & HP News !!


CCS:

CCS has been added again to HEADLINE NEWS section since the 3rd season (episodes 47~70) will start to be re-broadcasted on February, 2006. It’ll be showed on Thursday, 19:30~19:55.
Kobato:

Still no sign of Kobato ;__; *still bets for Kobato’s return on December!*

Tsubasa:

Next chapters scheduled (red means new):
10/12 – Shonen Magazine #46 – Chapter 94 (on sale).
10/19 – Shonen Magazine #47 – No Tsubasa scheduled.
10/26 – Shonen Magazine #48 – Chapter 95.
11/02 – Shonen Magazine #49 – Chapter 96.
11/09 – Shonen Magazine #50 – Chapter 97.

No words for color pages yet… but is very likely that we’ll be having one either for chapter 96 or 97… there’s still time to change that.

Now is more than confirmed that Tsubasa Anime Season 2 will be broadcasted on April of 2006, same day and same time. It’s very weird because what we are seeing right now on the manga, we’ll be seeing animated in exactly one year (even less, actually).

Thank gosh there were no name changes this time.

Anyway, a new thing is that the TV has been decided and it’ll be Educational NHK, the same for Tsubasa.
Nothing about date or hour of broadcast yet.

Now, that worries me a bit… you all saw how they cut the drunk scenes from Tsubasa anime… As the name says, NHK Educacional is an educacional televison… with a very restrict content. I don’t know how far this may go with XXXHOLiC… but I’m scared of what they can do with Yuuko’s love for drink or her fancy cigarettes (air it after 2 AM if needed >.<).

ETC:

New Expo for American people !

Starting on October 26th and ending on May of 2006, the exposition called Power of Girl’s Comics: What Can Shoujo Manga Tell You? will be held in some US Universities. It’s an exposition about Shoujo Manga and of course, CLAMP’s works will be there.
NOT CLAMP themselves (nothing has been said about it). I also don’t know if the works are original ones (drawn by CLAMP), but provably yes or else it would be pointless.
This is the event official site, but is SO confusing… they don’t even mention CLAMP in there and there are no pics of any of their works at all (not that I found, at least).
So if you are american, take a look at it and maybe you’ll have the luck to see some CLAMP originals !!! (make sure to take some photos if they allow ^_~)

Harry Potter News:

YAY \o/\o/\o/ We’re are about a month for movie 4’s big opening >.< ! So a bunch of new pics has surfed the net… check them at Veritaserum’s gallerie (this is the last page, so go back through the pages until you reach the ones you already saw ! ^_~)

Also, there are also some new posters, but they are still very small and they have “Harry Potter” written in another language (I’m talking about the 6 last ones). But I just LOVED, LOVED, doubled LOVED Hermione’s one *–*

  1. Even if I’m not American (I’m Canadian) I’ll definitely go see the exposition either in Pennsylvania or at Chicago! (I’ll make sure to take pictures if it’s allowed)

    Now than Holic is confirmed for NHK, that will be three tv series by Clamp on the same canal … o.O

    I also share your aprehentions about Holic aired on NHK, I think Tsubasa Chronicle’s Yuuko lack the spicy side I so love in the comic. A full season with a fadish Yuuko doesn’t sound that appealing.

    And finally, about Kobato, I don’t like the lack of news, it’s remind me the end of serilisation of X almost three years ago. There’s still no mention of when the first Tankoubon will be released (well, it took five months for Magic Knight Rayearth, so I guess it is possible the first tankoubon from a new publisher might take longer to produce … though I not sure I conviced myself ¬_¬) I hope will get a new chapter for December as you said.

      About Kobato, it would be too much of a bad luck for this to happen… well, clearly the magazine is not the problem (I mean, it’s not like Amie who got cancelled). I think we’ll have to wait for December… maybe Kobato is an anual series?
      After December, or January, THEN we should get worried ._.

  2. I´ll still be happy for the news on holic anime but NHK makes me a little nervous too :/ Yuuko´s drinking is far more frequent than drinking in Tsubasa (which as you mentioned, they cut ¬¬). I hope for the best as always (until news become innevitable) and now let´s just hope for an announcement on the studio who will be animating it.

    Yey for the new season of Tsubasa Chronicles, but now i am worried about Holic anime…I wonder how the plot will be .__. …and my bet is 12 or 13 episodes…I know that is few but………I dont trust them!(NHK) XDDDDD.
    Ok, the only thing to do is wait so…we will be expecting ^^
    OMG! Have you seen Yuuko`s eyes, her look, in that pic, so beautiful!! X3

  6. First: I want Kobato! Maybe it will be in December…
    Second: I’m seeing chapter 99 coming up on Tsubasa and am fearing the Double Number Curse…T_T
    Third: xxxHolic seems to be immune from that curse as chapter 88 went just fine.
    Fourth: I find it immensely ammusing that cartoons with no educational value are being shown on an educational TV channel. Ah the marvels of logic…. I really hope they don’t destroy Yuuko’s drinking or smoking….
    Fifth: The Shoujo convention is in the Art Institute!! That’s right across the street from my college! Literally.

  7. Maybe they will keep it, since the audience is somehow different. Tsubasa has a much lighter tone than Xxxholic and somehow the gore is necessary to the plot, while in Tsubasa is just a scene.

    Kyou Kara Maou is also broadcasted in NHK, and they have kept some stuff I didn’t think they would allow.

    Be sure at least that they won’t say no to dismembered arms…
