The official site is open! Kind of, only XXXHOLiC’s one is actually open and there’s only the staff info and a pic. The pic is really good indeed, Yuuko looks absolutely amazing! She has the perfect blank/purple-esque skin tone and her hair is excellent! I hope she stays like this in the movie as well.
The Staff for XXXHOLiC is announced but since most of it is in jpg form, is rather hard to tell who will do what (please, if someone manage do get the names, I’d be happy to know ^_^).
Keiki Sakurai and Jun’ichi Fujisaki will be responsible for XXXHOLiC’s script (No Ohkawa *cries a river… a big river… cries an “Ohkawa” T-T*). They both are kind of beginners, specially Keiki Sakurai. Jun’ichi Fujisaki did the script for Stand Alone Complex. (Ah, don’t worry hiragizawa, the music won’t be the same one as Tsubasa XD).
The name will be “XXXHOLiC The Movie – A Dream in a Middle’s Summer Night”, or something like that, (Interesting o.o), and it’ll cross itself with Tsubasa’s movie.
As for Tsubasa, the script will be written by Midori Gotou and Jun’ichi Fujisaki. (No Ohkawa again T_T *cries a sea*) At least they’ve kept Jun’ichi Fujisaki in both movies, we can expect good crossovers ^^ Itsurou Kawasaki will direct the movie.
The name will be “Tsubasa Chronicle The Movie – The Princess of the Country of Birdcages”, or something like that.
The story resumes in: They land in another country, in this country there are humans and birds. They meet a Princess that has ran away from the King, who must be is a bad person, and Syaoran and co. decides to protect the princess and the citizens.
Both movies will are scheduled to open in August (which is way more soon then I had expected!), no specific date yet.
My opinion:
What made me saddest is the fact that Ohkawa is not doing the scripts. I’d be happy to know they’ve made some decisions but is not the same thing as writing the script -__- At least I hope the new charas and the clothes are designed by them *sigh*. I won’t say that I won’t like the movie, but not having Ohkawa on an ORIGINAL Story is half-way for my dislike. Oh well, let’s see. I know they are busy and everything but this is a far away decided project, it’s not like they decided it last week, so, they could make it quite well. It could also be Production IG’s fault since it’s their decision to call the original authors or not.
The story of Tsubasa looks a bit too Pokemon-esque, IMO. Although XXXHOLiC’s title looks intriguing. I hope they make good crossovers. I’m just a bit scared of the beginners script writers >.<

Just when I was asking for someone to translate the XXXHOLiC page at XD And I was already comparing kanjis, so I knew it wasn’t going to be the same crappy people.
At least the Stand Alone Complex guy is a relief, since even though I don’t dig cyberpunk, that OVA is supposed to be really good. After all, GitS is a cult series and stuff. Thank God one is good, let’s hope the other guy won’t screw things up.
I still think the TC movie IS going to suck, and that princess is a tomoyoesque Mary Sue. I’m completely scared, because that one is going to get more money than the HOLiC one -___-U But still! Maybe because of the crossovers, someone will secretly tape both! *hopes*

Nah, it won’t… surely the people who see Tsubasa will want to see XXXHOLiC. They may even make some tricky things like “To understand Tsubasa you have to see holic” and the other way around.
I’m sure Tsubasa won’t be stealing anything from XXXHOLiC. The XXXHOLiC movie will earn what it should earn even if there’s no Tsubasa.

It’ll be interesting to see the connotations that’ll have on the movie. ‘Cause I don’t think they picked up that title out of nowhere without a reason and pretend it’s an original one, ne? XP
And I agree, Yuuko looks gorgeous on that picture, not like that scary woman on drugs we see on TC ^^;; As for the TC movie, it’s too soon to say something, I’ll wait for more info before stating my opinions. For now, I’ll say its existence is… well, surprising XD

Based on the scan, I thought the animation colors look more vibrant – not like Bee Train’s pastel-style in the current TV series. Production I.G. does beautiful animation, such as Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex, so I have high hopes for the movies animation-wise. Story-wise, I won’t judge until I hear more information and actually see some footage of the movie.

I’m really excited about these two movies! ^_^ Even though the bad filler alert is big, I’m looking forward to the Tsubasa movie. Some original stuff could be interesting. [It could be bad, too *sigh*]
Yuuko looked absolutely gorgeous on the official site. I wish she’ll be like that in the movie *drool* The TRC movie pic was cool, too, I really liked their clothes. ^_^ I hope the original script won’t suck.
I’m kind of afraid that the TRC anime will turn out like Gankutsuou *knocks wood*: first episode quite okay, this’ll be fun, then some weird things that one considers not-so-bad changes to the storyline, then it starts going worse and worse until one falls off the chair screaming “NOOOO, THIS IS SO WRONG!!” Well, Gankutsuou as an anime was okay, as an adaptation from my favourite book – not so. I certainly hope that TRC will be good. *fingers crossed*

I think they are trying to get younger people interested that’s why the pokemon script but really we can’t udge unless we see!But no Ohkawa in the script is a bad sign

I just started to hate (i mean *really* hate) tsubasa anime style after i have seeing the ad from the movie, i mean i don´t belive this movie would be better than the main plot of the anime, but the character design is much better…*sigh* i really love it, fye is really fye, and the same goes for Yuko… i really hope this movie wasn´t to be so awful
