Kobato Chapter 3 is out on the next 19th and is scheduled to feature 2 color pages!
Tsubasa has been postponed (again) due to the fact that one of CLAMP members (probably Mokona) got her hand injured during their moving, and now it’s taking some rest (Their doctor said to not overload).
Even Shonen Magazine’s official site said Tsubasa would come back this week, but now that the content of this week’s magazine has been announced, we can clearly see that tsubasa is not there.
Anyway, it will definitely come back next week (February 9th, and that’s for sure!) and is scheduled to appear on Shonen Magazine for more 2 weeks straight, having the last one a color page scheduled (which means big chapter!).
Also, more information about the staff on Tsubasa anime has been announced, I’ll post it on the next update.
As I said on my previous posts, XXXHOLiC will come back on the 14th and is scheduled to appear on YOUNG MAGAZINE for more 2 weeks straight.
CLAMP-NET also confirmed Tsutomu Mizushima been the director for XXXHOLiC’s movie.
Sweet Valerian manga (not by CLAMP) goes on on Nakayoshi! A new chapter is scheduled to appear on Nakayoshi’s April edition, out on March 1st. How much longer this will take? XD
Also a set of DVDs with the animated episodes is planned to be released! The VOL. 1 is scheduled to be released on May 25th (on a total of 4 VOLs).
Chibi Yuuto: 4? I mean, “4”? Don’t you think it’s way too much for 19 episodes with 4 minutes long each? o.O CLAMP sure wants to take money from children. But I will forgive them if the DVD feature lots of bonus extras.

wait, so what animation is this? I thought you were talking about animation of “Sweet Valerian” – something I’ve never heard of…

It’s a mini-series animated by CLAMP: 4-minute long episodes of surrealistic humor involving fashion girls who morph into anti-stress bunnies ^^U
Curious thing.

Don’t you know what Sweet Valerian is? The 3 bunny girls similarly to PPGirls? So, there will be DVDs with the episodes ^__^ got it now?

gah I feel so ashamed…
No I don’t think I’ve heard of them…do you know where there are any pictures? Maybe I’ve seen them but didn’t know what they were…

There’s the official site: http://www.sweetvalerian.com ^__^
You can also make a search on Google. You may not find good stuff since the mini-series is not so well-known (due to the fact that is mainly aimed to children at the age of 4), but you’ll surely find some pictures ^___^

ah yes I have seen a picture or two of these. I didn’t know what they were though…
So, just so I know I’ve got this straight…they’re not a manga series that clamp does (although I guess someone else will be doing one now?)
They’re just a little animated series with character designs by clamp? Kind of like Di Gi Charat and Koge Donbo?

exactly… those three bunnies were CLAMP-NET’s mascots from long ago… so, the original concept of the Character Design is by CLAMP.
The manga, however, is not done by CLAMP, but by other artist (which I can’t remember the name right now)

Yes, there’s lots of possibilities:
1. The manga does end at the end of the 26 episodes, usually a couple of months after, which leads to about 14 volumes or so.
2. The manga does end at the end of the anime series with more than 26 episodes, leading to an unknow number of volumes (about 20?)
3. The manga goes on and on and on even after the end of the series (very unlikely, but it could happen)

It’s also usual to do what they did in Inu Yasha or Get Backers: The anime caught up with the manga, and they stopped the anime, but will probably continue after there’s more manga to animate. However, the “anime ends, manga goes on” isn’t unlikely, in fact, is very probable (see X TV and lots of anime). It’s also usual to release some OAVs with the continuation of the manga if this happens.
However, I think CLAMP really WANT all Tsubasa to be animated: Tsubasa is their money-making series (it’s easy to realize that), and a successful anime version means lots of merchandise, plus the benefits of the manga, plus DVDs of the anime, plus audience, plus license-selling to other countries… They sure want Tsubasa anime to last for more that 26 episodes.

It’s unlikely for CLAMP… they are so programmed… I mean, they know when their series will come to an end, they have everything planned already and so I think X was the only exception. There’s also CCD whose anime came waay after the manga’s end.
With the exception of these, all the others works ended a couple of months after the end of the anime (MKR, CCS, AL, Chobits)

as designers, they are only paid once I think , like a big pay check at the beginning and nothing else. So dvd sells won’t change their income

I was just kidding ^^”””” But I think even so CLAMP will gain a little money, because the copyrights are still theirs.
