“CLAMP × Yamamoto Bag Shop” collaboration goods

Last week CLAMP showed via Twitcast the new set of leather goods they did in collaboration with Chikahito Yamamoto, illustrator and owner of chik@ bag shop. They now have posted better pictures of such goods.

The goods feature characters from Card Captor Sakura, Tsubasa and XXXHOLiC and will be sold exclusively at the CLAMP Art Exhibition in Kyomafu.

CLAMP Twitcast

Continuing from the twitcast they did last month, on today’s twitcast CLAMP talked more about XXXHOLiC Rei and Tsubasa – WoRLD CHRoNiCLE -. They also talked briefly about their exhibition in Kyoto’s International Anime and Manga Fair that will happen later this month.

The chibi characters designs you see on the video were used as patterns for the new set of leather merchandise they did in collaboration with illustrator Yamamoto Chikahito.

If anyone listened to the twitcast and would be willing to share translations and/or comments, please feel free to do so in the comments area.

They also posted sneak peeks from the second chapter of Tsubasa – WoRLD CHRoNiCLE -, which they are currently working on.

The series will be linked to the currently ongoing XXXHOLiC Rei series.

Special thanks to Newsmangajapon for letting me know!

I have mixed feelings about this. I am sure the community will be more than happy to see this news, but I wish CLAMP would just move on. The least I can do I hope we will now get all the answers that we didn’t get in the first place.

CLAMP aid for Fukushima, CCS movies BD release

The event Irashai Fukushima was held this weekend in Fukushima to raise funds for the city, affected by the nuclear incident caused by the March 11 earthquake and tsunami.

12 mangakas held a sign session and others contributed with sign boards for charity.

CLAMP made a signed board with a Syaoran illustration:

The event’s official website mentions that CLAMP contributed with a CLAMP Gakuen Tanteidan illustration, I wonder if it’s a mistake or there is a second illustration?

CLAMP members Nanase Ohkawa and Tsubaki Nekoi were seen at the event, although CLAMP did not perform a sign session.

Yay for CLAMP doing charity work \o/

On other news, Bandai Visual will release the two Card Captor Sakura movies in Blu-Ray format on August 26 for 6.300 yens each. The covers will feature new illustrations drawn by CLAMP (source).

Yay for new CCS illustrations \o/
