Volume 6 theme is purple!
Both regular and limited special edition will be released on April 3rd. The benefit of the special limited first edition will be a CD with the audio guide for the Card Captor Sakura Magical Art Museum exhibit and a booklet about it. The audio guide is voiced by the anime voice actors.
You can already pre-order the special edition on Amazon Japan.

Since it was taking its time to appear online, I thought we would have to wait until the release of the Nakayoshi magazine next week or something, but it suddenly appeared today hahaha ^__^
I pre-ordered it this morning from amazon as soon as I saw it XD
Not sure about what I feel about the content of the special edition, as Cinzia said, I might also would have liked an original Drama CD with a new script by Ohkawa…; but that said, it IS awesome for all the fans out there who didn’t have the opportunity to visit the exhibit, which is a lot of people really ^^; Now, we will have the written version in our all-in-one book, and the sound together with the special ed. ^^
We will have to wait and see how that booklet is too: will it be just a little flimsy thing or an actual decent book? The special edition costs 2916jpy, which is a lot of money after all (the regular edition costs only ~450jpy…), this is pretty much the price of an artbook, a good heavy one!, so I do expect a good little book with the volume!

I also just preordered mine via amazon japan as well.
I thought the special edition bonus was a little underwhelming as well. I guess we were spoiled with the mini-nendoroid. But I think it makes sense, in a way, given that the exhibit was so huge, they are trying to get the most out of it.
I just hope the booklet will have different contents from the All in One Book.

Me too, that all-in-one books cost me so much money, that I might have a mini crisis of frustration if the booklet is similar to it hahaha Well, no, it can’t be, really: I assume (?) said booklet would have the same size as the manga (?); the name in itself of ‘booklet’ indicate it will be a little thing, which is frustrating in its own, as I said in my previous post, 2900jpy is a lot of money, you can buy a big A4 artbook full of color artworks for that sum of money…
They really need to justify this price!

They are including a 40-minute long CD in the bundle, which probably accounts for most of the price increase. The All-in-One book is so comprehensive, I can’t really think of any content Kodansha could add to the booklet to set it apart.

I was expecting the bonus to be related to the exhibit, since it’s the only major CCS project going on right now (excepting the mobile game, but how would you work that into physical merchandise?). It’s nice that CLAMP and Kodansha have avoided offering the same thing twice for the special editions, isn’t it?
