Even though the official release is only tomorrow, the first OAD of XXXHOLiC Shunmuki appeared earlier today on the japanese video streaming website NicoNico Douga. I have ripped the video file (.mp4) and uploaded it to Media Fire.
I liked the OP a lot, and the animation quality is very high, indeed more than the TV anime but a bit less than the movie. I was actually surprised to see a manga arc I wasn’t expecting to see.
Looking forward to the subbed version to notice bigger differences between the manga and the OAD.
EDIT: The official website of the OADs added a report from the early screening of XXXHOLiC Shunmuki that happened at the end of January.

When I try to download it, my computer doesn’t recognise it as an .mp4 so I don’t want to download it yet. (Because I would download it and just not be able to play it…) T.T

But there was very little of Yuuko in this episode, I hope she’ll be more present on Part 2 ^^

And well, I will say that I DID watch the raw version first XD but after I finished, while I was wondering when I can finally see the sub version… I stumbled upon the CHN forum and they already have the CHN sub available 😀

The beginning part when both Watanuki and Doumeki were at the old fortune teller lady house… that pretty much stay the same as the manga ^__^ except Kohane didn’t mention about something [the egg] that Doumeki have that would help Watanuki AND as well the part about Kohane will continue the old fortune teller lady power.
Then they left the house… things started to jump across to previous chapters like Watanuki thanking Doumeki, talk between Yuuko and Doumeki [it is more focused on both Watanuki and Doumeki has changed because of the interwind interaction]… and Yuuko start talking about return payment and hinting on Syaoran/Watanuki closer than anyone.
After Watanuki met and thank Haruka-san in the dream… the story become original and different from the manga development ^^ since he got a request/mission from Haruka to find something…
Anyway… I have a bit more detail when I review the sub version in my LJ ^__^

i actually watched it all on Nico this morning, even though I understood very little only catching words here and there I really liked the animation and it was funny to watch even though I didn’t understand the spoken jokes all that much.

The page showed the reactions to some of the audiences that were there. They mostly talked about Watanuki! They also talked about Doumeki, foods, and op ed animations. There are more comments from female audiences than male audiences that has been shown.
