That’s all we wanted to see, Yuuko explaining everything that has just happened. They said Sakura realized she was a clone in Tokyo after Syaoran’s clone gave her the feather, but I still don’t get how she realized that… did any of you figured that out?
Thinking better, is that why she dropped the feather in Tokyo’s water reservoir? Apart from helping the people living there, maybe she thought it didn’t belong to her?
Fye knew since the beginning, omg! What else do you know that we don’t? xD
So, Fei Wang cloned both Sakura’s body and soul. Good we had that cleared up, it shuts down a lot of theories. Thanks Kurogane for asking why Fei Wang cloned Syaoran and Sakura in different ways. Apparently he wanted to keep Sakura as a “backup”? If something happened to the clone, he could make another copy and send it over, or something like that?
That’s very clever, if Sakura is an important piece for the puzzle of granting Fei Wang’s wish, he wouldn’t put that very piece in danger, instead he made a copy of it, yeah, just like we are used to make safe backup files before trying anything too dangerous with them xD
And now Syaoran wants to bring her back? How is that possible? Even if, say, Fei Wang makes another copy, it won’t be the same, right? Or can he duplicate only her soul and place it into the clone’s body that, together with the feathers, will she remember everything again? God, what am I saying… I really hope this won’t work. We had such a dramatical scene last chapter with such an impact, would be pretty dull if that Sakura came back. She played her role, she did beautifully, but now she’s dead, and that’s how it should be. Even though Yuuko didn’t confirm that her soul disappeared, I hope there’s no turning back *how harsh, you may think xD*
It’s really interesting seeing the similar patterns of this chapter and the first ones, when they first arrived to Yuuko’s shop. We now have a different Kurogane, a different Fye and of course, a different Syaoran, wishing for the same thing. Must be such an achievement for CLAMP, after all these years being able to draw that scene.
As always, I’m very interested in what kind of price they’ll have to pay to Yuuko to know about Sakura’s whereabouts AS IF THEY HAD A LOT TO GIVE, HAHAHA
Before finishing this commentary, I would just like to say two more things:
1. The feather that was returned to Sakura in the last chapter is the 14th feather, we finally got Sei-chan’s one. We still have one in Tokyo, and what happened to that/those one/s in clone’s possession?
2. We can tell how behind Tsubasa is of XXXHOLiC judging by Yuuko’s clothes xD
as for XXXHOLiC, I don’t have anything to say apart from I really want to see Himawari’s father (that is why she knows everything about TV!)

if she is actually dead, there shouldn’t be a way to bring her back, not at all, and I wouldn’t want her back if she’s dead and hell, fei wang hasn’t been able to grant his wish, so why would syaoran be able to do that XD? pfff…but if she is not, even with that tragic scene D: I’m ok if she comes back(sakuraxsyaoran *supersuperfan*), and as I said before, I don’t think you can kill a soul

That’s my biggest fear xD Syaoran being the hero, maybe he can do the impossible xD I just don’t want that in the end Sakura revives because the love between she and the clone was too strong, or something like that. Clone should die TOO and meet his lover in heaven xD

My very first thought on reading TRC is that I don’t think Yuuko has ever been more beautiful then on her pages there, and that’s saying something!
I’m okay with Clone!Sakura ending in that shower of cherry blossoms and nothing more. Her coming back could cheapen it a LOT.

I saw that on page 18,
syaoran said “Sakura” in Hiragana while Yuuko said “Sakura” in Katakana o_0

I think they said C!Sakura realized from how the way R!Syaoran treated her from his heart? From his attitude? (That’s what i get from my limited japanese hehe)
At first when R!Syao replaced his clone for the journey, I was soooooo mad at Sakura (which I don’t know there’s a clone for her) since she treated R!Syao badly, well, not badly, but so cold-hearted, like trying to escape from him in the “Chess Kingdom”. I thought she was so in love with C!Syao rather than R!Syao so that’s why she treated him that way.
But from this chapter, I think I misunderstand her. She knew she wasn’t the sakura R!Syao loves, so that’s y she had those actions. I felt bad for hating her at that time now T_T

So we just sort of learned what Fei Wong wanted to begin with…he wants to conquer death in a way…doesn’t he..I mean…I read the translation and the clones are esentially doing that..or at least Sakura’s is…

They can almost all give up the same things again though. Kurogane can give up his new sword, Fai can give up his relationship…and if Shaoran has a hidden marking somewhere T-T but that would hurt too much for me to actuall call it plausible.

Well we know it has to be shorter…because honestly we know it ends some time this year…there can only be about thirty chapters left if I remember..maybe less..but we also know that when it comes to Yuuko she can’t interfear very much unless it’s granting a wish…so no..I doubt we’ll get RIGHT to rescuing the Sakura

I think, and I hope, that this is only how Syaoran would naturally react. I mean, it’s natural that he wants to “revive” Sakura. But I think that eventually he’ll accept the fact that this can’t be done.

Hahahahaha although it might look like that, I think everything is going according to planned. Maybe with a few changes that are bound to happen, but the rough story is all plotted out already.

So maybe they’re gonna give up their memories with someone else?? Or maybe Seishirou, Fuuma or even the Vampire Twins will pop out of nowhere and help them pay?? I doubt that those in Nihon will help them… Tomoyo’s done her part, giving up her yumemi power… Now all that matters is the PRICE~~

I know… But why wait for Fai to do so?? There must be a reason, besides that, he killed Xing Huo for helping R!Syaoran right? Um…. Why? Does that mean that FWR never intend to leave his place at all or he wants to deal with R!Syaoran alone and was outragd bcos Xing Huo intefere… If that’s the case, how can he expect Fai to kill Syaoran if Syaoran can’t even leave his place… Unless he jus kill Xing Huo for no purpose… (Hobby are a sudden interest??)

That’s a great idea!!! *A* We discussed this topic with my friend today for about half an hour, but this didn’t cross our minds at all XD It would mean that he kept him in that tube for so long in case C!Syaoran didn’t really become C!Syaoran or even died, so that he could clone him and create a new one, is that right? Then R!Syaoran released himself and Xing Huo sent him to Yuuko, which is something Fei Wang didn’t want, because there was still a chance R!Syaoran would stop C!Syaoran and then Fei Wang would have had neither the clone nor the original. And when he said “It looks like he was late,” looking at those two from across the mirror, it meant that C!Syao had already become the way Fei Wang had created him, and so he didn’t need R!Syaoran any more and could kill him anytime.

Unfortunately that is an area of the story where CLAMP makes no sense whatsoever. They make Fei Wang have three different plans of action. All of which don’t really fit. It seems that there was a plan that Fay was to kill everyone. Then there was the issue with the activation of the curse in Valeria, if Fay didn’t kill Ashura and someone else did. Fay wouldn’t have gotten that far because after realizing that he had killed his friends that he would kill himself, end of journey.
There was another huge plot hole that a friend of my and I found but I can’t remember it off hand. Sorry I can’t give you a better answer.

I´m a little mad with this chapter. Still we dont know anything about real-syao! And also, i dont get one thing: Where is REal-sakura? Is she Fei wongs prisoner? Since when? When exactly did he exchange real-sakura with her clone? it must be after the feather´s mess, in Clow Country. If he was able to get his hands on her so easily, why he would wait till that time, why not to kiddnap the princess earlier and avoid all the feather´s problem?…i hope Clamp will explain that someday.
Even so, i´m also very worried about the price now, i dont know what else can be given? In the begining, they got to pay the most precious thing to the witch… What would it be now? aaarg, another week waiting.

Well it looks like Watanuki has made a choice in xxxHolic, which of course changes the future and who knows what is going on with Kohane, but I’m getting this strange feeling that she is going to voluntarlyly give up here powers trying so hard to please her mother…. hmm, maybe I would have a better theory if we actually GOT MORE HOLIC CHAPTERS!

wow, everyone is so different than how they started out on the journey (which is the way things should be) and now they are on a different mission altogether (operation Retrieve Sakura and kill Fei Wong Reed if he gets in the way! *please let him get in the way!*). I getting a feeling that they will be going back to the world of dreams (since it looks like real Sakura is there and from Holic we know that you can meet dead people in dreams).
Hmm, maybe Kohane will do a seance that conjuries up one of the Sakuras, who knows!

I knew Fai would know! Because he knew Syaoran was a clone, it stands to reason he’d have noticed Sakura was too. It looks like anyone with magic power can tell – like how in CCS Touya could tell Yukito was a magically created person, rather than human. So, Sakura realised she wasn’t, strictly speaking, “real” when she got her magic back with the feather in Tokyo. And the original Syaoran has magic, so he knew about it too.
It looks like Yuuko doesn’t think Syaoran will be able to resurrect her, either. I mean, technically, her body ‘is’ still alive, but even if they got her back and somehow managed to prevent her from dying, she hasn’t got a soul. She’d just be a vegetable then, wouldn’t she? I thought the whole thing about not being able to bring people back from the dead was because you can’t bring back their souls, rather than because their bodies were dead. Otherwise, Fei Wang Reed’s cloney maids and Xing Huo wouldn’t have been failures, coz you could just attach the dead person’s soul to the cloned body, and it’d be alright. Right?
Even still, it’d be nice if both Sakura’s and both Syaoran’s could live happily ever after. Well, I suppose there’s always Horitsuba, right?

Leaving Nihon Country
It is truth that now we have a different Kurogane and that his wish change from the first chapters, when he only wanted come back to Tomoyo-hime’s side. But I also remember that Mokona can not go to the same world twice. So if Kurogane leaves Nihon Country, would he be able to return someday??
If he leaves Nihon, at least I want a cute scene Kuro-Tomo in the next chapter. From the very start he wanted to go back. Now that he is there, he has to go away again. And now Tomoyo-hime cannot predicted for sure that they will meet again. I have been wondering about this since chapter 167, when they arrive at Nihon. I knew Kurogane would continue with the journey but, would they meet again? At least, if they don’t, I want a nice, cute and if it can romantic goodbye.

Okay, this is fun! Only, you know, kinda not. CLAMP is so terrible to us! Yanking us along like this. I don’t know what’s worse, having it seem like they don’t know what they are doing, or realizing later that they do pretty much know what they are doing. ^_^;

The body has it’s own set of memories. As does the soul. I think that it was one of her body’s memory from when she was created that was in the feather that she got back in Tokyo. That would also explain why she remembered how to use her magic. If she remembered the source of her power and ability to use it she should also remember that she is a copy of it (i.e. R!Sakura) and not the real deal.

I think that comes from her getting her memory back, changing her plan of action, and so not feeling like she didn’t need the feather. And it could also have been that it was a Sakura-like thing to do at the time. There might be a plot twist that a “Sakura” might be able to return to get it when the time comes. Or it could just stay there forever as the people in Tokyo seem to need it.

I think that it’s safe to say that since it wasn’t stated by Yuuko that her soul wasn’t dead-dead that it’s still around. This helps my theory that the soul might not be copy-able. In R!Syaoran’s case it was Fei Wang who didn’t see it necessary to give C!Syaoran a copied heart (but he got one, kinda, anyway). In the last chapter dream/heart/C! Sakura memories (’cause we find out in this chapter that C!S has a copied heart) said to C!Sayoran “even if we are just creations”. So this means that the heart of C!Sakura is gone, but the soul remains intact somewhere. My personal guess is with R!Sakura.
But what about the “feathers scattered from the clone are equivalent to the soul of the original” thing? Are the soul and body connected while the heart is a separate entity? If that is the case then Fei Wang can make many copies of an original to have them do his bidding (for Sakura having memories of the experience of being to other worlds). The clone will be connected to the soul, which is connected to the original body. He can then use that to favor his dream becoming a reality.
Dr. Kyle was an unpleasant surprise. I knew he would be showing up soon. We hadn’t seen the little jerk for a while. I think he took Sakura’s body back to Fei Wong. At least to get the other feathers that C!Syaoran collected back to her (unless R!Sakura has them since the body and soul-and then clone-are connected).
I hope Fei Wang’s wish isn’t lame. That would make all this rather silly.
