Seishirou has both eyes! Why does he have both eyes? I remember someone left a comment on my previous report about that, but in fact, we couldn’t actually see whether he had both eyes or not on the previous chapter, but congratulations to you for seeing this through XD
Can anyone please refresh my mind, was he already blind when he met Syaoran for the first time in Clow?

I think it’s a little more complicated than that
This immediately made me believe that Fuuma and Seishirou are not blood related, and it makes perfect sense to me. I always thought it was a little too random. But we’ll see.
Vampire Fye got his nails off! Sooner than I expected (actually, I never thought it would happen xD). Seishirou came up to Fye but he has no interest in hurting him, all he wants to know is where he can find Subaru. Amazing how he can tell it’s Kamui’s blood running in Fye’s veins.
Then we get a little bit o’ comedy after 954754 chapters, and a lot of smiles from Fuuma and Seishirou. How gentle they are xD

My god, what does he mean by that? *goes nut* I think Seishirou landed on Hogwarts in one of his travels and met Snape xD Jokes aside, that’s the second time Syaoran’s father is mentioned, and this time is much more important. Seishirou KNOWS him, goddamnit!
Who could he be? A character we already know, I assume, since most of Tsubasa’s story has been told. Who fits the profile of Syaoran’s father? I know what you’re thinking xD But could he really be? We know Syaoran is related to Clow, can we assume his father is as well? Or does the “Clow blood” comes from his mother?
Watanuki? It’s a possibility, surely. But Yuuko said Watanuki and Syaoran are the “same”, and that is not a thing to say to a father and son xD I’m not the same as my father, nobody is. But it would explain why Watanuki has to exist no matter what (otherwise Syaoran would never been born XDDDDDDDD) Not to mention that would mean Watanuki had a son with a woman and that would enrage a huge lot of fangirls.
Fei Wang? That would be… cool XD Seishirou said Syaoran is like his father right after he said Syaoran was looking through the other himself. Isn’t that what Fei Wang does? XD Watch other people’s life in his cozy puffed chair, with a glass of wine and hot girls around him? xD maybe one of them is Syaoran’s mother, poor boy Fei Wang is related to Clow. Would he do what he did to his own son? Wearing an monocle in one of his eyes (meaning his right eye’s vision is weaker), in the first sketches of Fei Wang, he had the Ying-Yang symbol in his chest, Syaoran’s magic is based on Ying-Yang.
Just thoughts ^________________^ But it would be a hell of a plot twist.
The thing is, Kurogane realized something, and I hope he’ll reveal his thoughts later.
Seishirou and Syaoran will now fight (Seishirou’s got style!). It shall be a great fight. I don’t think Syaoran will give up, but it’s hard to believe he will defeat Seishirou. So I think Seishirou will play with him for a while and then take off.
Wouldn’t it be great if while they were fighting Kamui and Subaru suddenly appear? XD Seishirou would be forever thankful to Syaoran (and then he could give him the feather ^_~).

It’s just because well, out of all characters, the only ones we know that are blood-related to Clow are Fei Wang, Clow himself and, possibly but not confirmed, Watanuki.

Kurogane is not the type that keeps quiet for too long… he’ll spit it out to Fye sooner or later or worse, he’ll corner Syaoran himself.

has to have one nice role in the manga if they continued
to mention him and what’s more through seishirou!
and I know how crazy it sounds that fei wang could
be syaoran’s father but when seishirou said that of watching through other…it sounded like a possibility but god it would make
such a mess if he were his father…and I can’t think of clow
being his father…and watanuki would be a perfect guess except for the
“they’re the same” stuff 9__9 unless clamp has a totally different
perception of the father and son relationship xD

I don’t know if Seishirou meant Syaoran is like his father because he watches everything from somewhere else or if it’s because Syaoran’s brave attitude. We have to wait and see.

Yo, Chibi-Yuuto! ^^ Genki desu ka! I have to say that this weeks chapter was pretty good and interesting. It was cute the smiling brotherly talk between Fuuma and Seishirou. What I’m curious to know like you is why Seishirou has two eyes. Didn’t he paid a price for one of his eyes!? @__@
Let’s not forget for the fangirls that Fai had a little “vampire fight” with Seishirou as he showed the long vampire nails. Sore wa motto kakkoi!! ^o^
Also, I laughed so very hard when Fuuma and Tomoyo-hime were saying that Seishirou and Kendappa are such troubling siblings. Especially the look of Kendappa’s face!! Tomoyo-hime can sure be such a teaser! XDDD

Hi all! I’m usually a lurker, but I just have to comment this time.
First, I think it’s a pretty good assumption that the real Syaoran is the one from Card Captor Sakura (magic circle, sword, type of magic, etc). If that is the case, well, it depends on whether you go more by the anime or manga. We met Syaoran’s mom in the first movie, but no clue as to whether she is the one related to Clow or not. She has some pretty strong magic, though.
As for Syaoran and Sakura, Syaoran is a descendant of Clow Reed, probably several generations back, though. According to the manga, Eriol is half the reincarnation of Clow Reed, the one who got the magic and memories. Sakura’s Dad, Fujitaka Kinomoto, is the other half. So in a weird way, Sakura is closer in blood to Clow Reed than Syaoran.
Anyways, the fight should be good:)

But this is interesting, the fights in Tsubasa always last mulitple chapters, so maybe the reason they are waiting in Holic is for the fight to be finshed here and Yuuko can talk to them? That would make sense, especially if she told them who Syaoran’s father is…

or he is Li Xiao lang, or his son, or the son of one of his sisters, i can’t believe FWR inprision his only son in a jar and make a clony of him NO!!, but could be his uncle if FWR had a sister(Twin sister???)

Syaoran’s father… now, this gives me worst creeps than Watanuki’s parents matter!XD Seishiro knows him and his way of saying it gave me the idea that that father met the clone too!

My guesses about that father are two… ne is the same as yours, and yes, FeiWang is the kind of person that would do such things to his own son… And think of it… Xing Huo could be the mother! That’s why she helped him even if it would mean her death…
The other guess is… Clow! Because whenever he appears in someone’s memory and talk about/to Syaoran has this kind of strange sad and hopefull expression… and there was that scene, when Sakura was looking sadly to the ruins because a person special to her was there, Clow said that he have someone special far away too… Maybe his son? It would be twisting, they hed been talking about Syaoran, one the clone and the other the real one! Oh btw, I always suspected that Sakura (and so Touya too?) isn’t really Clow’s daughter…
AAAHH my head hurts! XD

I think that Kurogane is just getting nervous because he wants to be back in action… Fay is fighting, Syaoran is fighting and he can’t because he just got back an arm and has no weapon yet! Don’t forget that he probably considers Seishiro his opponent, they never finished their challenge!
But we discovered that Kurogane understand a lot of things, so maybe he really realized something……

At this point I’m guessing Syaoran’s dad is Fei Wang. I’m really hoping it’s not that cliche. It’s so very star wars.
We never did see Syaoran’s father in CCS. Then again, CCS certainly doesn’t equal Tsubasa. Bloodlines appear to not carry over well from one CLAMP work to the next. (Which is stupid/not science/genetics whatever…. Sakura/Clow Kamui/Subaru wtf… blargh.)
I did enjoy this chapter so much more than the last 17.

I have been around for a while, coming after the Clamp-ness, but this is the first time commenting!!
Apparently 170 is mostly about parenthood and family ties! ^_^;0 First about Seishirou and Fuuma, clearly they’re not brothers in the “regular” way. Apart from the possibility of being brothers due to one of them being adopted or by marriage of their parents, I don’t think Tsubasa would go so in depth like that. I think that it’s way more plausible for them to be “brothers” for belonging in a same “team” (Dragons of Earth and Heaven, for example), or for having beliefs in the same thing.
On to the most talked about parenthood, Syaoran’s! Starting from who I think is NOT his father: Fei Wang and Clow. The first one because I don’t think he’d dispense to his own son (in spite of being as much cruel as he is) the treatment he gave R!Syaoran, locking up in a tube, removing the eye and making a clone out of him!
And Clow… well, for the first time I thought today, I really don’t think how R!Syaoran (and even CCS!Syaoran, if they’re not the same) or anyone could be truly descendant of him. Because you see, up to what we know, CCS/xxxHOLiC!Clow died offspring-less (not counting guardians and talking majuus! :P), and even if he had a brother/sister out there, who came eventually to be the grandparent/parent of CCS!Syaoran, Syaoran really wouldn’t be properly descendant of Clow… not directly, anyway!
Now about Watanuki… at first I thought Wata wasn’t really a person, but more of a “living” dream, or even a sort of ayakashi, but now I think it gets more clear that he exists (or existed at some point, and now is being kept “alive” by some magic/device that keeps going on until the unknown moment of doom :P). And I believe that he is important because he must be, indeed, R!Syaoran’s father.
You mentioned the comment Syaoran made that they’re the same, and at first it dosn’t make much sense, but reading it came to my mind something I heard in a mass once, that somewhere in the Bible Jesus claims him and God (the Father) are one/the same. At the same time I think Clamp wouldn’t go to the Bible for inspiration (xD), but it shares some resemblance, and hey, IT’S CLAMP!! We have reached a level where EVERYTHING is possible!! 😛
I know that for Wata to be a dad, there would be a mom, and this would cause a HUGE commotion (I myself would be distraughted!!), but I remember that at some point Clamp answered a question about DouWata (I think it was in one of the radio shows), and they said they would NOT be a pairing.
As for the mom, Himawari would be way to obvious, and Kohane is a bit too young (though, again, it’s Clamp!! they have Prof. Terada/Rika and Eriol/Prof. Mizuki!! in front of them, the age gap between Wata and Kohane is nothing! :P), and then I thought: Zashiki Warashi! Because up to the point, it hasn’t been show *exactly* why she has been introduced in the story, apart for worrying/fighting/thinking about Wata. And after Wata recovered of the fall and she and Ame Warashi paid him a visit, Ame said Zashiki was changing for him/because of him, and we’re yet to see her full “evolution”!
And omg, what a huge comment!!! ^_^; I’m sorry!
And last, Can anyone please refresh my mind, was he already blind when he met Syaoran for the first time in Clow? Yes! I remember he was already blind because he taught Clone!Syaoran, who was blind of one eye just like him, fighting techniques that didn’t require the vision of both eyes!

He realized that something after Fay said, “….No. So far as we know, Syaoran-kun and Fujitaka-san aren’t related by blood.”
Has Syaoran ever mentioned Fujitaka’s name ever before? I didn’t think so… It’s already a stretch to think if he mentioned he was adopted, but he might have said that. (that’s the problem with this kind of manga — every chapter, you have to re-read the entire thing!)
Why does Fay know so much? That’s what stuck out to me. (that hasn’t been mentioned.)

THank god Fuuma and Seishirou aren:t actualy blood relatives, that would just be way too creepy (incidentally, it:s so odd to see all of htese characters smiling after reading X. also, Seishiriou:s current cassock outfit is amusing). Damn good chapter, all in all, and I hope Shaoran can kick Seishirou:s butt next time. And hooray for more from Amaterasu, she is awesome.
